Job Purpose

Assist Senior Credit Manager in approving credits, ensuring rigorous monitoring of portfolio, and approving credits within delegated approval authorities and within the Wholesale Credit Policy Manual guidelines. 


Key Result Areas

Early detection of warning signals such as excesses, past dues, adverse market information, in order to ensure timely corrective action.

Maintain targeted turn-around time for credit approvals.

Assist Senior Credit Manager by reviewing proposals in L2 Credit Manager’s approval authority and approving credits within the incumbent’s own credit approval authority.

Follow up with the relationship managers on daily exception reports to get the exceptions resolved.

Prepare portfolio highlights for senior management review.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

University Graduate. MBA or equivalent is preferred.

Minimum 8 to 10 years lending experience, which should include 4 to 6 years of front line relationship management experience and minimum 4/5 years as an approver of large credit proposals.

High degree of analytical skills, ability to cut through excessive information to arrive at the key risk factors, keen eye for detail and ability to analyze complex data.

Lending skills (credit, analytical, judgment) across various industries / lines of business (Trade, Asset Backed Financing, Contracting, Banks & Non Bank Financial Institutions, Leveraged Buy Out, Project Finance).

Knowledge of regulations in different countries Mashreq now operates in.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong negotiating skills, both internally within the organization as well as outside with other banks, borrowers and regulators.

Job Purpose

As an Expertise lead responsible for the Architecture team in RBG Technology.  


With his team the Expertise Lead Architecture:


Defines the architecture for the digital stack, including integration points with other platforms;

Ensures that the architecture is implemented according to plan, minimizing technical/tactical debt. Escalates to management if required; 

Reduces complexity and steers towards preventing or reducing technical debt.

Improves the quality and consistency,  and reduces time-to-market for the platform.

Shortens the cycle time from idea to service with impact to consumer;

Actively guards security and data integrity in the design, implementation and operation of platforms using standards industry frameworks. 

Breaks down desired (business and IT) themes into epics and features across multiple platforms, that can be further refined into implementable stories. 

Defines together with the Product Owner userstories to further improve the quality of the platform;

Provides guidance to Engineers, Product Owners, chapter leads, managers and teams/squads for the platform by describing design patterns in Cookbooks/Sequence Diagrams together with the engineering discipline. 

Describes how these best practices can actually be implemented in practice;

Monitor and influence strategic vendors’ product strategy into Mashreq’s desired direction.

Manage the current and planned application portfolio for its dependencies and lifecycle by means of Roadmaps.

Provide high level Solution Architectures for new Components as a Reference Architecture.

Escalate to management if necessary.

Is responsible for coaching and the Performance cycle (on both a personal and professional level) of the team members so that they can get the best out of themselves in the areas of Architecture

Job Purpose

Responsible for end-to-end Project Management Activities related to Risk Management and Credit Management groups. The role delivers Project Management Outputs for the Transformation Program centralizing business, functional, operational and technical aspects of the Program. The role requires the incumbent to plan, manage, execute, track and implement complex corporate banking functional and technology solutions including complex projects, and ensure delivery in line with customer expectation (internal and external) within the base-lined schedule, budget and scope parameters; including but not limited to overseeing the testing strategy and execution, quality and compliance controls, and production stability after change movement. Key Result Areas

On top of the agenda is the creation of the Program Master Plan which has to incorporate all the initiatives defined as pillars of the program

Effective tracking of Cost Approval requests, utilization and alerting management as and when needed

Strict adherence in following defined processes (Incident Management and Problem Management)

Should be able to include activities that will complement the Transformation Program eg the building blocks of an Ecosystem

Execute the Front to Back digitalization initiative, coordinating all the necessary areas of the Bank that should participate and contribute on it, including front, middle and back office Facilitate the necessary project plans to assure a proper and integral integration of the ongoing digital initiatives of the bank to assure consistency and to avoid duplication of efforts.

The role has a Global Scope, to properly coordinate the participation of all the countries where the Bank has decided to implement the solution.

Should take ownership of each Governance instance defined to conduct the Program, including Steering Committees, Project and Working ones, as well as all working meetings that includes internal and external people participating in each of the initiatives of the program

Provide extensive leadership in digital technology, including Continuous Delivery, Cloud Strategy, automation and key technology / vendor selections

Work closely with vendors to ensure solutions are technically compliant

Prior experience in dealing business stakeholders from Risk Management and Credit Management operations is must

Keep up-to-date on new technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment

Provide solutions and technology leadership across a range of corporate banking technologies including, but not limited to, Mobile/Web Frameworks, Portals, Web Content Management and Collaboration Platforms

Prior experience in managing Datawarehouse systems and with hands-on experience mindset.

Proven record in mentoring team to excel in delivering agreed OKRs

Exposure to internal tools such as AECB, BMW, Flexcube etc is highly desirable

More than 15 years of experience with extensive project management experience and ability to contribute to Technology Management Office of RBG Tech.
