Government Relations Officer - Riyadh, KSA

The Government Relations Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating interactions between Veeam, related third parties, and government entities in Saudi Arabia. This role ensures full compliance with local labour, immigration, regulatory, and licensing requirements, while providing operational and administrative support to ensure smooth business activities. The GRO handles official documentation, government transactions, legal queries, and maintains effective relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison between the company and government entities, including MHRSD, GOSI, Jawazat, ZATCA, Qiwa, Muqeem, Mudad, Absher, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassies, Chamber of Commerce, Municipality, Civil Court, Ministry of Justice, MISA, Special Economic Zone Authorities, and other relevant authorities.

Process, submit, and follow up on all government-related transactions including work visas, Iqama issuance and renewal, exit/re-entry visas, visitor/business visas, passport updates, and other immigration requirements.

Coordinate the issuance, renewal, amendment, and compliance of commercial registrations, licenses, chamber of commerce certificates, permits, and other company-related documents.

Prepare, submit, and track official letters, forms, presentations, reports, and documentation required by government authorities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Maintain organized, confidential, and up-to-date records of all government-related documents, permits, and transactions.

Support onboarding and offboarding processes by ensuring completion of all required government procedures, documentation, and clearances.

Arrange and coordinate visits to government offices, service centers, and external agencies.

Monitor changes in Saudi labor law, immigration regulations, and relevant government policies and proactively communicate potential impacts.

Support inspections, audits, legal cases, and official visits by government authorities; and possibly represent the company in a professional manner during these interactions.

Assist with compliance formalities, legal queries, attestation of documents, and banking support as required.

Provide general administrative support as needed.

Additional Qualifications

Saudi National.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Compliance, or a related field (degree preferred; equivalent experience considered).

Minimum 3-7 years’ experience in government relations, HR operations, or similar role in Saudi Arabia; experience in corporate or professional services is a plus.

Proven operational, project management, and customer support record.

Strong knowledge of government portals and platforms (Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, Mudad, Absher) and local government processes and regulations.

Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills; ability to multitask and manage multiple requests under pressure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.

Hybrid role with occasional travel to government offices; flexible hours may be required based on government deadlines and official events.

Government Relations Officer / PRO

Responsible for procurement of visas, renewals, medicals, and other governmental permits and licenses.

What will I be doing?

To coordinate with the business and provide support around all areas of government relations including processing and carrying out all transactions relating to visas, permits, licenses, registration etc that are crucial for the business. Responsible for all applications of visas and cancellations and deal directly with immigration department for visa matters for team members, management and their families.
Maintain good relations and visits to the owning company, immigration, health department, ministry of information, traffic police as well as all government departments and ministries
Provides assistance on police and court cases, immigration and labour issues and other related matters
Keep records of passports and visa expiry dates, inform team members in advance of passport expiry dates and extend/renew visas prior to expiry dates
Provides assistance on police and court cases, immigration and labour issues and other related matters.
Provides assistance in obtaining visas for travelling key personnel.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

Ensure the safekeeping of all team members passports
Ensures that all food handlers are having occupational health cards and ensures that expiring cards are renewed on time
Maintain and update the police report in the system
Carry out the fire, safety and evacuation procedures as required by the hotel fire policy
Comply with hotel standards in relation to hygiene and personal presentation
Any other tasks assigned by General Manager or Director, Human Resources

What are we looking for?

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable adjustments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively deal with a variety of audience, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.

Overview:

Responsible for leading the team in planning, preparation, training, development, production and submittal of the non-recurring work proposal. Provides management coordination with staff departments, appropriate operations (project) management. Responsible for RFP compliance throughout the proposal process. Supervises activities of, and coordinates with subject matter experts and others assigned to the proposal team.

Responsibilities:

Manages and directs all management, technical, and compliance, efforts on assigned proposals.
Manages and directs personnel assigned to the proposal team to assure that all management, technical, contractual and costing inputs meet both customer and V2X Management requirements.
Maintains schedule discipline for all assigned proposals.
Determines specific approach to assure a responsive and competitive proposal in terms of overall concept.
Prepares proposal plan, including detailed proposal outline, storyboards/mock-ups (if applicable), compliance with RFP, management and technical volumes, proposal responsibilities, schedule, and submittal checklist.
Reviews input from subject matter experts to ensure RFP and win themes meet compliance and provides feedback.
Ability to manage multiple proposal efforts simultaneously.
Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.
Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of government procurement, Federal government contracts, regulations and procedures, and government operations and maintenance services.
Strong ability to multitask with numerous high priority demands in an intense, deadline-driven environment is a must.
Ability to maintain strict compliance with V2X policies and procedures relating to our Business Ethics and Code of Conduct, in addition to specific procurement regulations established by the federal Government.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to produce compelling solutions that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 (five) years’ progressive experience in a position related to the development of federal government contracts.
Experience managing large scale, complex, high dollar value programs/efforts for large businesses.
Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid US SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
Must possess driver’s license with at least 1 year of remaining validity and ability to drive a Standard Transmission vehicle.
Must be fluent in written & spoken English language.

Skills:

Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
