We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the team as an NRI Sales and Business development Manager.

In this role you will:

• 
  Work alongside Head of International and Rep Head to generate New to Bank (NTB) opportunities through corridor collaboration and own the FRP of inbound and outbound targets for NRI business.
• Generate significant awareness of the HSBC International proposition in the local market
• Drive cross border referrals in response to market changes and opportunities and in line with HSBC Group strategy and manage the regulatory complexity.
• Execute marketing events and promotions to generate referral business
• Manage a team of NRI BDO & BDM, own and deliver the target for NRI business.
• Extensively work with UAE network and generate leads and referral.
• Boost understanding of NRI banking business, process, TAT and support with conversions.
• Support with hosting roadshows and training to UAE staff.
• Set expectations with the customers about support HSBC can provide in the residing market as well as how HSBC can help with their needs internationally.
• Actively participate in community events where attendance of international, multi-country prospect customers is expected and engage with such customers.
• Help support with implementing key business initiatives to help enhance Proposition and service model to deliver the business objectives.
• Focus on building relationships with the internal and external stakeholders, with the objective of offering HSBC’s retail banking and wealth management (WPB) products to our NRI customers.
• Help support the execution and management of some of the new external/and or existing partnerships to help grow referrals for NRI business.
• Work very closely with branch network to drive quality referrals.
• Promote HSBC WPB propositions in Global Banking & Markets internally and externally
• Build and develop a working platform for prospect companies both inside & outside of HSBC customer portfolio.
• Produce, manage and share with internal stakeholders the local MI to develop a global client knowledge understanding
• Maintain strong, effective and successful collaborations with ‘leads of’ colleagues within the MENA business to represent an aligned approach to help grow this customer base i.e. Customer Value Management, Branch Banking, Contact Centre’s, etc.

To be successful you will need:

• 
  Proven Business Development experience in Banking
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Able to work independently with limited supervision and guidance.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Customer-driven with a strong focus on quality of service and business development.
• Planning and organizing, displays a strong sense of accountability.
• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit

Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Strategy & Transformation consultants lead clients through impactful decision-making as they tackle strategic, tactical, operational, and transformational business challenges. They apply a broad set of problem-solving techniques to improve the client’s overall strategy, performance, and operations.

Client Impact

• Lead client engagements across a range of industries and problem statements
• Develop strategies and programs for large, regional, and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions to unlock client value
• Own key relationships with mid-level to senior client stakeholders and independently assess client agenda, internal culture, and change readiness

Team Collaboration & Culture

• Lead team to creative insights and sound business recommendations, and deliver impactful client presentations while growing team members’ roles and skills
• Provide analytical and day-to-day project delivery team leadership, and create a collaborative and inclusive environment for all levels
• Collaborate with internal Mastercard stakeholders including Product and Business Development to scope projects, create relevant solutions for clients, and build the firm's intellectual capital
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to junior consultants

3. About you
Qualifications
Basic qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, business line management, or product management
• Experience coaching and managing teams across multiple consulting engagements that involve structured problem solving and stakeholder management
• Experience managing key client relationships
• Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
• Ability to identify new business development opportunities, and experience drafting proposals and scoping new opportunities
• Logical, structured thinking, and affinity for numerical analysis
• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)
• Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
• Ability to travel to client sites on a semi-regular basis

Preferred qualifications

• Experience generating new knowledge or creating innovative solutions for a firm
• Relevant industry expertise
• MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization (not required)

Job Purpose Summary

The role is primarily responsible for providing proactive and effective support so as to profitably enhance the daily management and development of the customer portfolio; in accordance with the business plan, credit policy objectives and QNB procedures. The role also acts as an AVP, taking responsibility for a designated portfolio to develop and profitably manage banking relationships for business customers within their geographic territory or industry/customer portfolio. This position functions as the backup resource for the extension of the full range of bank products and services applicable to the business customer. These will typically include credit and deposit services, as well as international transactions or other specialized services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions

A- Shareholder & Financial

• Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent and adheres to QNB policies

• Proactively assist in the implementation of the strategies and plans to achieve all volume, revenue, development and profit targets for the VP’s customer portfolio.

• Proactively support the VP in the development of Key Performance Indicators for the purpose of systematic performance monitoring and quality measurement of the VP’s function, customer portfolio development and the monitoring of achievements.

• Proactively support the VP in upholding and monitoring full compliance with prevailing best corporate banking practice.

• Observes and promotes cost consciousness and efficiency, and enhance productivity, to minimize costs, avoid wastes, and optimize benefits for the bank.

• Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent and adheres to QNB policies

B- Customer (Internal & External)

• Proactively support VP in maintaining and developing customer relationships, acting as an alternative to an VP, as required.

• To act in the full capacity of an RM taking responsibility for a designated portfolio, as required.

• Proactively support VP in dealing with and resolving customer problems and requirements, in coordination with appropriate in house and external support functions, to ensure timely, friendly and accurate responses and provision of Bank products / services.

• Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and Corporate Banking’s compliance function, as and when required.

• Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all other related functions / units to assist in the achievement of the VP’s and Corporate Banking’s goals and objectives.

C-Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory)

• Proactively support the VP to develop and manage on a day to day basis both potential new customer targets and existing customers to meet assigned financial and non-financial targets, in compliance with QNB policies and procedures, regulations and prevailing best practices.-

• Assist the VP to prepare comprehensive credit proposals for new / prospective customers that adequately address all relevant risk factors and satisfy minimum acceptable standards of QNB corporate credit.

• Assist the VP to prepare comprehensive credit reviews for existing customer facilities, at least one month before limit expiry, that adequately address all relevant and current risk factors and the latest developments in the industry, market and business.

• Assist the VP to identify and timely report on all negative events and early signals on potentially problematic accounts / relationships.

• Assist the VP to maintain the timely review of credit applications and documents within set turn around time, in coordination with Credit Risk. Support the VP, and others as requested, in identifying weak aspects of credit applications.

• Assist the VP in monitoring VP’s customer credit positions for full compliance with set limits and QNB’s Investment and Credit Strategy.

• Support the VP in the preparation of periodic Management and Business Information reports to executive management, as requested.

• In the absence of Credit Admin Role:

• Liaise with HO credit admin on the credit documentation meeting the terms & conditions as per approval.

• Seek HO Credit Admin acknowledgment when needed for collaterals submitted and supporting documents.

• Seek HO Credit Admin Review and have the checklist completed for Credit Operations to complete the remaining tasks

• To assist customers in all their queries on Bank’s product and seek solution to their requests

• Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/ units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.

• Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/objectives.

• Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk Functions as and when required.

D-Learning & Knowledge

• Possess good knowledge of the corporate banking business; its products and services, related risks, documentation, regulatory requirements and report preparation together with a superior knowledge of controls.

• Develop a good knowledge of VP’s portfolio of customer’s business and needs.

• Possess good IT skills to be able to compose correspondence and reports using standard Bank platform and applications.

• Takes responsibility for self-development as well as acquiring skills and knowledge required to fulfilment of one's duties by proactively identifying areas for professional development of self and undertake development activities

• Seek out opportunities to remain current with all developments in professional field

E-Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).

• Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defence principle to identify measure, monitor, manage and report risks.

• Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.

• Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.

• Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification to undertake the role.

• Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank, attain, and maintain the required levels of competence.

• Attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the Bank.

F-Other

• Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.

• Maintaining utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need to know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.

• Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position.

• All other ad hoc duties/activities related to QNB that management might request from time to time.

Education and Experience Requirements

• University graduate (Bachelors degree) preferably with a Major in Finance, Banking, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration (related field of study), Masters preferred

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English. Arabic, French or applicable local language highly desirable.

• At least 8 years relevant experience in the banking industry, preferably with a large local / International Bank.

• Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and any regulations for the corporate banking customer segment.
