Accountant, Ball Corporation, Dammam, KSA

 Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Module A: Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets:

  • Verifying Sales order Price with Approved Price list.
  • Verifying price and volume rebate for customers and ensure the appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Handling all shipment documents for local and export sales.
  • Continuous follow ups for receipts as per terms of payment and receivable aging and advise for any adverse.
  • Periodic reconciliation of sales delivery notes with transporter invoices and other sales support accounts.
  • Maintaining Fixed Assets entries, codification, class and location. And periodic processing of depreciation and providing suitable entries for additions and disposals.
  • Periodic physical verification of Fixed Assets including Capital inventory and reconciliation with FA Module.
  • Proper filling of accounting documents.
  • Continuous follow up with customers, colleagues, peers, etc., to carry out the assigned functions.

 

Module B: Accounts Payable, Journal (GL) and Banking Transactions:

  • Verifying Purchase order (including CAPEX) with requisition, Authority Matrix and CAPEX budget.
  • Receipt matching with Supplier Invoice and Purchase order.
  • Handling correspondences with Suppliers/banks and balance confirmation.
  • Processing periodic payments as per Invoice/purchase order, payment terms and aging.
  • Assignment of payment with invoice.
  • Periodic reconciliation of books with shipment forwarders, customs deposit and guarantee account.
  • Periodic reconciliation of un-audited payable account.
  • Periodic reconciliation of bank accounts with payments, collections and float transactions.
  • Posting necessary journal and recurring entries for accruals, prepayments and other GL transactions.

Module C: Financial planning and reporting:

  • Contribute to the financial planning and reporting cycle of the plant including

- Consolidating management accounts, analysing & interpreting results

- Quality of month end close, financial forecast and budgets for UAC

- Reviews, & evaluates financial and cash flow reports and consults with management as required

- This activity involves close liaison with all the different departments within UAC as well as AMEA region stakeholders.

  • Provide financial support and advice to other departments and support decision making up to and including Executive Level decisions

 

Module D: Production and Logistics Integration:

  • Preparing and processing periodic scrap claims from suppliers as per agreement.
  • Periodic reconciliation of logistics inventory – quantity and value with Physical inventory and GL value.
  • Verifying capital expenditure inventory as per policy and providing suitable entry.
  • Providing suitable inventory adjustment as per requisition and Authority Matrix.

 

Module E: Corporate Tax & Transfer pricing:

  • Assist the Tax consultant with Corporate Tax and Transfer pricing requirements.
  • Assist the Tax consultant with VAT requirements .

 

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Follow safe systems of work in accordance with company procedures
  • Follow safety signs and instructions
  • Use all equipment in accordance with your training but never use anything unless you have been trained to operate it
  • Report directly to EHS Department if you see any incident or activity that concerns you
  • Stop any dangerous work you see

 

Requirments:

 

 

 BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
 Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting and financial data analysis.
 Ability to effectively present financial data and information to all levels.
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 Advanced MS Excel skills.

Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
Experience with financial reporting requirements.
Hands-on experience with SAP.

  • Collaboration with internal and external lawyers, auditors and tax consultants in legal matters
  • Drafting, revision and analysis of different legal instruments including, but not limited to, sales and purchase agreements, distribution agreements, franchise agreements, service agreements of all kinds, commercial property lease agreements, intercompany agreements, sponsorship agreements, supply agreements, general and specific terms of sale, general and specific terms of purchase, bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, documentary letters of credit and other bank instruments, internal instruments such as memoranda and powers of attorneys
  • Providing timely information about law adjustment and changes as well as coordination of legal consultation to internal stakeholders notably, but not limited to, on matters pertaining to UAE commercial law, UAE corporate law (incl. the relevant free zone regulations, where applicable), laws relevant to e-commerce in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, UAE employment law and dispute resolution

Internal Audit

  • Set and maintain the internal audit processes in compliance with the global policies and rules
  • Investigating compliance incidents

GDPR

  • GDPR monitoring and adapting the company process in order to comply with the GDPR law

YOUR TALENT

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as an Attorney at Law in a reputed multinational organization (preferably in the consumer goods industry) inhouse or multinational law firm
  • Experience in handling legal matters relevant to cross-border transactions (incl. sound knowledge of Incoterms, UCP and ISP).
  • Experience in risk management, and compliance matters
  • Experience in Board of Director’s legal requirements
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering, or AML)
  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards

Capabilities:

  • Familiarity with both Civil and Common law and knowledge of UAE corporate and commercial law would be a distinct advantage

The Legal Counsel will support the Regional Head of Legal and Compliance, and the business, through the management of projects and processes to enable the legal department to operate more efficiently. WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

You will be responsible for implementing key legal processes that relate to legal drafting, negotiations, and commercial settlement agreements, reviewing terms and conditions, procurement agreement, supply agreements and distribution agreements. You will ensure contract close-out, extension, amendment, renewal and manage registration and renewals processes, AGMs, resolutions, and amendments of constitutional documents by coordinating with external legal counsels, authorities and government agencies.

The Legal Counsel will develop, control and implement processes for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, data protection laws, internal processes for contract management, supporting or escalating deviations or gaps in contract agreement vis-a-vis company policies. You will require an in-depth understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and applications while being responsible for maintaining up-to-date corporate information by conducting regular updates, improving the systems and processes through a proactive approach

In addition, you will coordinate with other internal teams and business units in respect of all legal and compliance matters and execution of documents. You will manage legal risks within the business by providing legal advice on all legal matters affecting departmental transactions, and providing operational guidance, aiding in the management of litigation issues such as contract disputes and product liability. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reviewing and providing advice to the business upon request on matters concerning applicable contracts required for operation of the business. Finally, you will instruct and assist external legal partners where necessary identifying potential legal risks and assessing the issues impacting legal risk.
