YOUR MISSION

Compliance

• Communicating and implementing group-wide compliance policies on a local level
• Make the reports and controls requested by the Group
• Create awareness/training measures of group policies
• Make risk assessment of the company's activity and monitor risk/control within the company.
• Keep abreast of changing compliance regulations in order to be up to date.
• Identify and review key business risks and develop strategies to minimize financial risks and losses

Board of Directors’ Advisor

• Assist the Board of Directors on how to proceed according to the current legality
• Prepare together with the Directors the minutes of delivery
• Keep track of all the documentation and make sure the company follows the current legislation.
• Help the Board of Directors to prepare the Annual Advisory Board meeting.

Archive/Documentation

• Keep track of all the legal documentation that the company has.
• Archive all the legal documentation.
• Management of all the insurance companies with which the company works.

Contracts / legal instruments creation and revision & legal advice

• Collaboration with internal and external lawyers, auditors and tax consultants in legal matters
• Drafting, revision and analysis of different legal instruments including, but not limited to, sales and purchase agreements, distribution agreements, franchise agreements, service agreements of all kinds, commercial property lease agreements, intercompany agreements, sponsorship agreements, supply agreements, general and specific terms of sale, general and specific terms of purchase, bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, documentary letters of credit and other bank instruments, internal instruments such as memoranda and powers of attorneys
• Providing timely information about law adjustment and changes as well as coordination of legal consultation to internal stakeholders notably, but not limited to, on matters pertaining to UAE commercial law, UAE corporate law (incl. the relevant free zone regulations, where applicable), laws relevant to e-commerce in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, UAE employment law and dispute resolution

Internal Audit

• Set and maintain the internal audit processes in compliance with the global policies and rules
• Investigating compliance incidents

GDPR

• GDPR monitoring and adapting the company process in order to comply with the GDPR law

YOUR TALENT

Experience:

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience as an Attorney at Law in a reputed multinational organization (preferably in the consumer goods industry) inhouse or multinational law firm
• Experience in handling legal matters relevant to cross-border transactions (incl. sound knowledge of Incoterms, UCP and ISP).
• Experience in risk management, and compliance matters
• Experience in Board of Director’s legal requirements
• Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering, or AML)
• Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards

Capabilities:

• Familiarity with both Civil and Common law and knowledge of UAE corporate and commercial law would be a distinct advantage
• Excellent English legal drafting skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Integrity and professional ethics
• Business acumen
• Teamwork skills
• Attention to detail
• Law Degree
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus
• Proactive and collaborative personality
