Description

 

In conjunction with programs and objectives set by the Regional Manager for EMEA & India, is responsible for the operational and sales activities across the country on behalf of the related business. Create and support a rewarding work environment while maximizing business revenue growth, operational efficiency, and profitability


Principal Duties and Responsibilities (PDR)


1. Lead the management team in all aspects of their business management and personnel development.


2. Communicate with the Regional Manager to share resources and ideas.


3. Take management and strategy decisions to improve business performance.


4. Prepare aggressive but attainable budgets and business plans.


5. Act as the ABS ambassador to promote ABS brand to the customer.


6. Be close to the market and competition in order to identify and explore opportunities for growth (new services and acquisitions.


7. Ensure competitive pricing in line with business guidelines.


8. Support international sales activity.


9. Minimize costs without compromising sales and service delivery.


10. Ensure consistent service delivery according to customer feedback.


11. Implement group standard processes in the country related to IT, HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance, etc. and ensure appropriate financial and process controls.


12. Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the ABS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.


13. Ensure a safe working environment and establish and maintain a culture of safety.


14. Identify, assess, develop, coach and promote talents.


15. Participate in the strategic growth plan of the business and develop a clear and executable sales and marketing strategy.


16. Responsible for building a backlog, managing Accounts Receivable, cash flow, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and attaining the KPI's (Key performance Indicators).


 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited university or equivalent business/quality related experience. Graduate Business Degree preferred.

ability to work closely with all levels of the organization


creative, high capacity to accurately assimilate and link information from different sources.

Prior experience in management systems certification will be a significant advantage. Or, the ability to quickly learn new areas will be critical.


Proficient with computers, both in preparing presentations and communications, and in working with ABS QE’s operating platforms.


Business experience in manufacturing and/or a technical service industry.


International exposure and flexibility, including travel


Perceptive of and responsive to multi-cultural environments.


Energy to motivate teams to always deliver results.


Ability to obtain working knowledge of the ABS Group Quality & Environmental Management System.


Fluency in English. Desirable other languages proficiency.


 P&L experience.

Main Responsibilities:


Responsible for maximizing revenue and profit associated primarily with rooms, but also function space or total hotel revenue as required. Accountable for all transient, group and catering segments strategies and deployment, pricing, channel distribution, and positioning.

Determines sales strategies and leads efforts to coordinate these strategies between Regional Sales Offices, Corporate Revenue Management and Marketing & Communications Teams and on-property Leadership.

Works with Marketing Team to develop the strategic proposition of Marketing offers, online and offline, as well as market/country and demand specific focus areas.

Identifies future revenue opportunities and effectively communicates strategies to the sales organization and marketing colleagues.

Evaluates effectiveness of property participation in channels and determines proper spend deployment in these segments and channels.

Maintains continual awareness of current and future competitors, for example but not limited to, product, published offers/pricing, renovation plans, inventory, etc.

Proactively analyzes and communicates business trends and booking pace in comparison to the market, Last Year, Forecast and Budget.

Analyzes competitive sets, price positioning, seasonality, mix and displacement on a weekly basis.

Evaluates weekly and monthly Market Share reports to understand trends and opportunities vs. competitive set and the market as a whole and ensures targeted Relative RevPar positioning is achieved.

Provides revenue management functional expertise and leadership to General Manager and property leadership teams.

Responsible for hotel’s positioning in the various distribution channels, information accuracy and competitor positioning, including but not limited to, conducting online shops.

Ensures that all reservation enquiries that come to the hotel via telephone, email or fax are processed in a timely and accurate manner to capture demand data for the hotel.


Skills & Qualifications:


Must have a minimum of 5 years Director of Sales & Marketing experience; extensive knowledge of Revenue Management related functions is mandatory. 

Strategic approach towards maximizing revenue through use of historical data and analysis of the marketplace and demand generators, either geographically or special event related.

Able to create objectives and make strategic decisions and recommendations based on facts, market trends and experience/knowledge.

Effectively develop, implement, monitor, and control sales strategies and goals.

Strong business acumen with ability to analyze financial statements, revenue reports, and market data.

Analytical approach to problem solving utilizing data to make conclusions.

Comprehension of all transient segments, their respective sales processes, markets, demands, sales deployment, client development and goal setting process.

Comprehension of group sales processes and group sales demands.

Comprehension of technical and managerial applications of Reservation, Sales, PMS and Revenue systems

Strong leadership, strategic, analytical, and forecasting skills.

Effective time management, communication, and professional presentation skills.

Ability to multi-task and balance the priorities of the position. 

Excellent knowledge of English Language (other languages is an advantage).

Flight instructors develop curricula, instruct students in a classroom setting, conduct training flights, determine student proficiency, report on student progress and develop new teaching methods

Flight instructors are responsible for training students in subjects such as aircraft systems, operating procedures, handling emergencies, problem analysis, aircraft navigation, radio operation and aerodynamics and special procedures relating to conduct of ISR operations

Must note and communicate aircraft deficiencies for maintenance review and correction

 


Requirements

Minimum Requirerments


Must have professional communications skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications

Must be a US Citizen

1500 hrs of experience in operational, support, or ferry flights

Bachelor’s degree from a certified college is preferred

Must possess a military medical or FAA Class II clearance and be able to meet applicable physical and physiological minimum requirements for the applicable aircraft

Must have passed a government background investigation

Must have past or current designation as a Co-pilot in the applicable aircraft and have 500 hours of experience in performing duties for operational, ferry, and support flights

Must have certificates from a DoD Pilot Training program and DoD Transition School for applicable aircraft are required


Other Qualifications:


Prior assignment as a Commander, Operations Officer, or Executive Officer in a US Military fixed-wing flight training organization

Prior PIC experience in Pilatus PC-12 strongly preferred

Prior experience as a flight instructor to international students

Prior experience in military Casualty Evacuation and Combat Support Services flight operations

US Military Standardization Instructor Pilot or Maintenance Pilot

Prior OCONUS rotation experience as a combat ISR pilot or IP
