JOB DESCRIPTION

Preparation of the financial statements and ensure compliance with Emerson Corporate Policies and procedures and local reporting requirements.

Produce and maintain relevant supporting statistical information for the legal entity to enable the reporting of orders, sales, headcount, leases, trade working capital ratios and other, as required.

Analysis of business-by-business units/product lines, with greater emphasis on detailing underlying trends and drivers. In total, to add value to the decision making of the organization and the leadership team to drive growth and profitability.

Review account reconciliations: validate reasonableness of account balances, ensure support for open items, document action plans, track and resolve aged items, and escalate pending issues as necessary.

Report financial statements to all statutory bodies, accurately complete and in a timely manner.

Ensure completion of Annual KPMG audit with nil noncompliance comments by corporate due date.

Drive CP&P (including ICQ and ITQ) and continuous Improvement.

Ensure the Corporations Ethic’s policy is followed for all financial transactions in HQ.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the necessary internal controls.

Work with Shared service centers to deliver the month end reporting to a tight reporting timetable, from JDE/Oracle to HFM/Hyperion. Reconcile to GL and ensure accuracy of month end reporting.

Complete ownership of Local In-Country value Add (ICV) plans currently in Dubai and supporting Central region controller with overall UAE ICV plans.

Preparation, consolidation and joint ownership of quarterly rolling-forecast, financial planning and annual budgeting process based on Emerson Planning Calendar.

Responsible for maintaining relationship with banks, ownership of authorized signatories, authorize transactions online, prepare cash flow statement, and responsible for US treasury reporting submission.

Manage bank facilitates renewal process, cash pool process and reporting, petty cash, and manual payments.

Work with the Shared Service Center to arrange and approve weekly payment runs, manual payments.

Establish a high level of credibility. Maintain strong working relationships with external and internal customers and ensuring where possible to make a financial presence available, thus providing decision support in key decisions.

Review and approve monthly/Quarterly VAT tax returns, annual tax calculation and reporting.

Support and manage HQ trade receivables’ past dues and disputes.

Drive Process Automation and Improvement ( Power BI, Advance Excel, Etc).

Support and own Adhoc projects/assignments as deemed necessary by finance leadership.

Additional responsibilities may include ownership of activities related to new acquisitions; organizational structural changes due to growth opportunities brought in the world area.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and previous 7+ years’ experience with US and local reporting

Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals & standards

Demonstrate high integrity and ethics in all activities

Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills are key for this role

Experience with Oracle and Hyperion

Ability to develop and foster strategic relationships, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Proven ability to work with people at all levels

Ability to manage time and work to a tight deadline and manage different priorities

About the role

The primary focus of the Head of transformation for MEA is to assess the strengths and weakness, develop a sales strategy and to accelerate our distribution channel to grow and expand Dyson distribution in Middle East and Africa . 

He/She will be required to engage with Marketing, Retail, Direct Sales and other business functions to develop MEA’s plan and activities. this newly established and key position, you'll report to the MEA Managing Director.  You will possess the capability to spot new business opportunities, foster relationships with key stakeholders, and lead the formulation and execution of strategies for business expansion.

Key responsibilities:

Develop a Business Plan for MEA

Developing and implementing business development strategies aligned with company goals

Conducting market research and analysis to identify opportunities and stay ahead of competition

Assess Market opportunities and feasibility of growth.

Identify and implement the best business model to achieve the MEA growth target. Partner with key stakeholders.

Engage with internal stakeholders to implement the business and lead the Market project.

Understand business model profitability through the regular use of a ROI tracker

Identify and implement the best business model to achieve the MEA growth target. Partner with key stakeholders.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams and manage team efforts for effective business development

Driving sales growth and expanding the company's market share

Develop an annual business plan that sets out the key strategic aims for Dyson and the partners

Deliver forecasts that account for; sales trends, promotions, seasonality, distribution changes, NPD and product exits

Manage and regularly monitor the product mix to ensure profit targets are met

Understand partner profitability through the regular use of a margin tracker

Deliver compelling, well thought through and inspiring presentations to the MEA partner

Build the Joint Business Plan of the customers and align each department through it (sales, marketing, supply chain and operations, and finance).

Hold regular face to face meetings with the retailers

Organise and deliver regular Business Reviews between senior personnel at Dyson and the retailer

Work with internal departments to drive through agreed customer initiatives

Take the initiative to find new customers / channel / partner

Achieve high standards for the Dyson brand in all sectors

Work closely with Marketing to rise brand awareness across MEA

Maximise shopper and consumer understanding through MEA Partner landscape

Regularly monitor and interpret sales data to improve compliance, performance

Look to increase the distribution of products with our partners

Prepare for and attend trade fairs for both end customers and retailers to expand the customer base

Job Purpose:

As the Director of Change Management within our esteemed Transformation Office, you'll assume a pivotal senior leadership role. Your mission is to orchestrate and execute effective change management strategies across our organization's groundbreaking transformation initiatives. Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of change management experts, providing insightful guidance and fostering their professional growth. Delegate responsibilities, set performance benchmarks, and ensure the team's effectiveness in supporting transformation endeavors.

Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and analyze stakeholders' needs, concerns, and expectations related to the transformation. Tailor engagement approaches to secure buy-in and support across various organizational levels.

Effective Communication: Create and execute clear and targeted communication plans, articulating the purpose, benefits, and progress of transformation initiatives. Craft messaging that addresses stakeholders' questions, dispels concerns, and fosters a shared understanding of the change journey.

Risk Mitigation: Assess the potential impact of transformational changes on processes, teams, and individuals. Develop strategies to mitigate risks, minimize disruptions, and maximize the benefits of changes.

Skill Development: Design and oversee the implementation of training programs to empower employees and leaders with the skills required for success in the transformed environment. Provide continuous support and resources to facilitate skill development and the adoption of new practices.

Change Leadership: Collaborate with senior leaders and managers to enhance their change leadership competencies. Guide them in effectively communicating and modeling change behaviors to positively influence their teams.

Data-Driven Insights: Establish metrics and methods to measure the effectiveness and impact of change initiatives. Leverage data-driven insights to refine change strategies, optimize processes, and showcase the value of change management efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as Prosci, ACMP, or other change management certifications are highly desirable.

Experience

Extensive experience (15+ years) in change management leadership roles or management consulting firms, particularly within organizational or business transformation contexts.

Profound knowledge of change management methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing change management teams.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying complex ideas and messages effectively.

Proficiency in data analysis to measure change impact and assess the success of change initiatives.

Transformational Projects: Demonstrated success in overseeing and driving change within large-scale projects involving significant shifts in processes, technology, and organizational structure.
