Role description:

 

Will define the strategic direction of the Brand’s web store business and manage the execution and brand building element on trading plans to deliver high-impact web store market launch(s) and rapid customer and sales growth. A key commercial online business leader in the Central eCommerce team who is responsible for the web store P&L, delivering profitable sales growth through managing promotions and on-site merchandising with the execution of a world-class customer experience that is consistent with the host brand strategy(s) in all operating markets and embedding the brand activism and values into our ecomm plans.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for trading the brand(s) web stores across multiple markets to meet business expectations. Will lead in the creation and execution of the commercial trading strategy, manage online lifecycle of products, drive improvements through analysis, planning and execution.

Will be responsible for embedding the brand activism and values into the e-commerce platform and will lead and manage the online channel commercial planning and execution for brand web stores in multiple markets and regions to achieve company financial and omni-channel business objectives.

Ensure on-site content strategy is fully aligned with omnichannel trade marketing calendar to maximize product launch visibility and effective campaign execution.

Manage the web store P&L’s per brand and market.

Will own the annual P&L business planning for the web store brand(s) and markets Online.

Will work in conjunction with trade marketing Customer Acquisition and Retention teams to deliver the trade planning strategy to support the operational delivery of channel growth and optimization plans to deliver business growth objectives. Will optimize promotional messaging through the most effective channels. Ensure that promotional sales, profit and stock implications are forecast and tracked.

Work with the Acquisition Marketing Manager to ensure that the product/range/trading strategies are supported by the acquisition/marketing strategy for all trafficked channels - including SEO, PPC, Affiliates, retargeting and digital advertising.

Work with the Retention Marketing Manager, feeding into the eCRM strategy, email planning and segmentation/personalization from a stock and product perspective.

Ownership of on-site search, as well as cross-/up-sell tools and functionality with the responsibility to analyze usage, disseminate insight to the wider trading team to refine and deliver CVR (Conversion rate) and AOV improvements.

Work collaboratively with the Content and Localization, Trade Marketing teams, Web Analytics and BI, and other members of the Trade Team to positively impact top-line sales and KPIs.

Support the web store outlet strategy for brand(s) in line with terminal stock management and identify opportunities for online extended ranges.

Work alongside the brand(s) senior merchandise manager(s) to drive stock availability and efficiency across all delivery channels through effective planning and sales forecasting to ensure 100% ecommerce stock availability whilst optimizing the use of click & collect and other omni-channel distribution channels.

Actively provide reporting on all web store sales and key KPI’s (Traffic, Bounce Rate, CVR, AOV, Sales and Margin) for web store markets delivering fast actionable plans to drive further improvement or respond to negative trading results to ensure business financial objective delivery. Will deliver post-event analysis in conjunction with the Acquisition and Retention Marketing teams to inform future promotion planning.

Will champion the use of web analytics and data insights to effect website online merchandising decisions on a daily basis that deliver improvements in add to basket and conversion rates to support a path to purchase improvements.

Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and personal development to the web store trading team, ensuring the development of necessary skills to create a high-performance trading team.

Identify and lead new web store commercial and omni-channel opportunities beyond current organizational thinking and act as a business lead to evaluate, prioritize, manage, develop, implement and test such initiatives.

Assess and propose functionality improvements like payment methods, content localization, and use of technology to improve digital customer experience and maximize online sales.

Experience and profile requirements:

8-10 years experience in B2C ecommerce in either omni-channel retail or pure-play in mature western ecommerce markets.

Ideal candidate comes from an online hypergrowth business based in digitally matured western markets, focused on leading and customer acquisition with multi-million USD online marketing budget responsibilities.

High performance track record as a leader with a keen interest in developing entrepreneurial talent and past experience successfully managing and developing high performance trading teams with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand how to quickly translate data into actions.

Excellent communication and people management skills with a positive, proactive approach to intra- / inter-departmental collaboration.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure to get results.

Professional profile: Analytical and numbers driven, with a very strong commercial acumen and “traders” mentality.

About The Role

·        This role is responsible for planning and implementing of an integrated trade development roadmap for the Beauty Distribution Portfolio. This includes the roll-out of trade development plans and initiatives through all Internal & external channels for Distribution Brands and across all operating countries (UAE & GCC).

·        This role will be the primary point of contact with multiple internal and external stakeholders including commercial teams & stores, brand principals & product managers to drive agreed business development targets in support of strategic goals and ongoing commitments of the business.

·        Also, this role will manage cross-functional work streams, timelines and qualitative objectives and will be accountable for the success of brand implementations & deliverables.

What you’ll be doing

·        Engage and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive Brand Trade strategic activities and projects to ensure agreed goals and objectives are met.

·        Act as the main point of contact for external brand principals and representatives for new and existing Brand partnerships.

·        Highlight and manage competing priorities and agendas between internal and external stakeholders to work toward the most effective outcomes.

·        Balance strategic pillars and requirements with Brand partners to ensure all interests are considered in brand retro-planning & agreements.

·        Manage the “hub” activities and projects assuming full accountability for budgets, timelines & deliverables.

·        Maintain standards and monitors scope of Trade including quality and volume of business activities and transactions.

·        Primary objective is to ensure that our brand is genuinely reflected as premium and prestigious.

·        Maintain effective business relationships and good communication internal & external stakeholders.

·        Ensure brand merchandising & activations standards are met across guidelines.

·        Promote brand awareness among different channels of Business.

·        Maintain regular and close contact with the team members to review brand performance to assess/ revise Trade strategy with the brand managers.

·        Contribute to Sales Planning & Brand Strategy.

·        Prepare launch plans of new products and implement them through promoters/ beauty consultants in retail outlets.

·        Manage the sales force and ensure optimum staffing levels are maintained across the brand via liaison with the HR.

·        New store opening, setup, training & management

·        Providing the beauty consultants with better product information and skills.

·        Coordinate with store management on information of employee concerns/development, leading to significant resolution and improvement.

·        Help Training and development of our beauty consultants, through brand and product knowledge as well as functional and behavioral skills.

·        Management of teams & stores along execution instore for frontliners targets, ROTA, merchandizing, implementation of activations & events.

·        Coordinate, drive and manage the implementation of the integrated brand trade roadmap across the GCC while ensuring alignment across all territories, doors and channels.

·        Play a key role in achieving Brand Distribution sales target & targeted category growth plans through development and implementation of appropriate trade tactics within brand guidelines.

·        Focus on agreed product and brand development targets while managing overall 360 strategic plans across GCC Distribution business.

·        Collaborate with Brand management peers for new brand acquisition projects to drive Brand focus including identity, trade and market development and branding.

·        Build and manage start up trade plans and activities with a special focus on the External retailers/doors that are not otherwise managed by internal support functions (Outside Al Tayer retail doors) covering 100+ external beauty points of sales.

Job Requirements

·        Minimum 3 years’ experience in significant portfolio/brand trade development role with an established reputable company.

·        Practical experience in the areas of business case development, benefits realization and change management.

·        Brand development experience & product trade in Beauty Requires effective stakeholder management and resource deployment across the business including collaboration and alignment with Beauty teams and support functions to drive and deliver value-added initiatives.

·        Very good written & spoken English & French.

The Regional Architecture & Visual Merchandising (VM) department is part of Parfums Christian Dior Orient, in charge of an area of 800 point of sales amongst 44 countries in the Middle East, Levant, Africa and India.

 

YOUR MISSION ____________

As the Senior Architect and Project Manager, you guarantee accurate and qualitative brand image according to the company guidelines through all points of sale and ensures the integrity of all the institutional brand requirements.

Your main assignment will be focused on:  

 

Design

Produce a creative point of sale design in accordance with the merchandising charter to optimize brand visibility.

Work closely with the area manager to understand the needs and specificities of each market and business.

Be responsible for the designs and scale models of any new counter build. These to be validated by Central Merchandising.

Analyze traffic flow to guarantee customer interaction; analyzes architectural features that may enhance or distract from location and competitors; inspect sites to ensure cohesive design and speed approval process.

Bidding

Provide project plans, technical specifications, and designs to obtain costings and timeline.

Challenge and negotiate the quotations, the terms, and conditions to ensure brand image is not compromised as well as budget and deadlines compliance.

Manages invoicing, challenge timelines/schedules, and follow closely financial approvals.

Ensure ROIC improvement of the additional capital through minimizing the cost of the installations versus the sales delivered or expected.

Manufacturing

Work with local suppliers ahead of installations to ensure accurate application of designs, technical specifications and highest possible quality production. Once installations are complete, review the quality and processes giving feedback to suppliers as necessary.

Find alternative materials with HQ approval and develop the local supplier to reach the excellence in execution.

Manages and drives the project construction through to prototypes and implementation of trials.

Installation

Ensure through sites supervision and updates the successful implementation of ongoing projects, consistent with details and high standards of Dior.

Lead collaborative working with key business stakeholders to secure the best timeline and the opening date

Follow Up

Visit sites regularly before and after new builds to review and propose additional branding or visibility opportunities and ensure the merchandising display is proper and according to the merchandising guidelines.

Follow up on the result of modification/maintenance works which might have impact to VM guidelines.

Sustainability

Implementation of sustainability best practices throughout the construction process with supplier.

Deploying stores and counters in the most efficient way and reducing waste.

Monitor electricity and water consumption.

Drive design decision making by energy efficiency.

 

WHO YOU ARE _________

Architect with a retail design background and experience in the beauty and cosmetics industry

Strong knowledge in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Microsoft office packages, Adobe Suite

Excellent working knowledge of furniture and materials for counter builds

Knowledge of the general contracting works to be able to follow a boutique construction

Knowledge of distribution channels and of all aspects linked to Merchandising in this environment

Team player and a positive, can-do attitude “really solution oriented”

Knowledge of French language is an advantage but not essential
