What you will do
 
As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing teams and store support staff as they work to fulfill grocery orders for Careem.
  • Manage inventory updates, including stock takes
  • Ordering inventory and managing deliveries from suppliers
  • Supervising pickers
  • Supervise the store and oversee its requirements
  • Ensure the POS system is used effectively
  • Ensure the right riders get the right orders
What you’ll need

This Opportunity

LBS is seeking a full-time Passenger Service Specialist in Kuwait to support the ir Terminal Ground Handling Services. Perform all tasks associated with the safe and correct operation of the Air Terminal as directed by management, regulations, policies, Instructions and the Performance Work Statement.  

Your Impact

 

  • •    Act as Passenger Manager when required.
    •    Responsible for all aspects of the safe and correct operation of Passenger Services. 
    •    Ensure passenger service functions are IAW AFI 24-605, Volumes, DTR 4500.9-R, Parts I and III and all guidance listed in the PWS.
    •    Verify that processed passengers using automated / non-automated systems are accurate and ensure manual procedures are executed without error.
    •    Monitor the maintenance and operation of terminal security equipment and reports issues to the Passenger Manager.
    •    Ensure proper execution of the Lost & Found and Mishandled baggage procedures. 
    •    Ensure proper posting of Space Available and Space Required passenger listings. 
    •    Monitor personnel training and ensures compliance when determining travel eligibility. 
    •    Ensure Passenger Service Specialist properly announced approved passenger briefings. 
    •    Verify GATES X-man Excel file inputs are accurate as per the PWS.
    •    Work with remote sites to ensure timely delivery of passenger information as per the PWS.
    •    Control all government provided equipment and ensure proper use; reports any issues to the Passenger Service Manager.
    •    Ensure passengers are properly assisted with visa and passport issues as per developed procedures.
    •    Monitor transportation and lodging procedures for in-transit thru-load passengers are being completed as per guidance.
    •    Monitor employees to ensure they are properly performing vehicle inspections and ensure issues are properly reported to maintenance.
    •    Verify collection of orders for all flights as per the PWS and regulations.
    •    Ensure personnel are properly trained IAW applicable regulations and requirement of the PWS.
    •    Enforce the screening exemption letter and provides the Passenger Manager updates when required.
    •    Monitor sterile passenger holding areas ensuring they are properly used and maintained.
    •    Ensure passengers are briefed on the AMC Commander’s comment box location and reports any issues to the Passenger Service Manager.
    •    Verify personnel are properly enforcing hazardous/dangerous goods that are acceptable/unacceptable for passenger flights.
    •    Ensure baggage is separated by destination as per the PWS.
    •    Monitor and ensure mishandled baggage is documented as per the PWS.
    •    Ensure funds are handled in accordance with establish guidelines and help the Passenger Service Manager to resolve issues found during internal audits.
    •    Ensure proper completion of the Mishandled Baggage Summary report as per the PWS.
    •    Task employees to transport passengers, aircrew and LBS employees. 
    •    Monitor flight line activities of section personnel to ensure compliance with guidelines and procedures.
    •    Ensure personnel are escorting trucks and buses IAW base guidelines.
    •    Process Distinguished Visitors (DV’s) working with Protocol office. 
    •    Perform and assign personnel to support Wing-Walker duties.  
    •    Perform Supplemental duties in Passenger Service or other work centers as required by Passenger Service Manager

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Must have two (2) years of working knowledge in performing Passenger Terminal Operations Services.
  • Shall have extensive experience in GATES systems and be familiar with all air terminal and flight-line operations.
  • Customer Services professional.
  • Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.  Must be detail oriented, motivated and drive to perform at a high level. 
  • Must be able to comprehend English to include reading and writing.   
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • You will be required to maintain a valid passport. 
  • You will be required to maintain Secret clearance.

  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Job Description

American International University (AIU) in Kuwait is seeking a Director, Office of Institutional Effectiveness.  The mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness is to collaborate with AIU’s academic, administrative, and educational support units to identify expected outcomes for educational programs, administrative and educational support services. The Office works with units to achieve outcomes that align with institutional strategic goals and accreditation requirements. The evidence of these outcomes informs decision-making regarding actions to be taken to ensure program and institutional effectiveness.

 

Responsibilities

The Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and is responsible for the daily operations of the unit to include the development, maintenance and revision of policies and procedures that guide institutional effectiveness and accreditation practices throughout the University; compliance with all associated requirements in higher education; and, institutional and program accreditation. The Director leads the monitoring and facilitation of institutional planning and is the primary administrator who liaises with national and international accrediting bodies to ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Managing data compliance and reporting to external agencies such as QS, international accreditation bodies, the Ministry of Higher Education and its subsidiary entities such as the Private Universities Council.
  • Managing institutional research processes to include institutional surveys; guidance to units on survey design and administration; the preparation of statistical reports for decision-making and accreditation compliance by senior administrators.
  • Leading units in the use of results for effective coordination of continuous improvement strategies that result in compliance with external licensure and accreditation requirements and standards.
  • Conducting research and analysis on best practices to give guidance to the President, senior administrators, and others to support benchmarking and to improve quality performance and comply with licensure and accreditation standards.
  • Leading the development of institutional policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and external regulatory requirements.
  • Providing recommendations for academic program and service improvements based on the review of annual operational plans.
  • Managing communications and liaison as required with international, regional, state, and local agencies in the areas of educational research, assessment, evaluation and accreditation.
  • Ensuring the preparation and reporting of substantive changes to external accreditation agencies.
  • Leading University teams in the interpretation of standards and requirements and the preparation of self-studies and compliance reports for accreditation agencies.
  • Reviewing narratives and evidences in self-study and compliance reports to be submitted to external agencies.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • The ability to interact effectively with internal and external constituencies, particularly governance systems with high levels of faculty engagement in order to fulfill the mission of the institution;
  • The ability to identify and garner resources that result in quality improvement, institutional effectiveness and accreditation goals;
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, statistical applications software such as SAS or SPSS, graphic and survey software.
  • Use of data, results and environmental factors to make appropriate decisions to achieve goals and mission fulfillment;
  • Demonstration of respect for and effective utilization of the value-added contributions of colleagues in the decision-making process; and,
  • Effective communication: written, verbal and interpersonal.

 

Required Qualifications

  • A master’s or doctorate from an accredited institution or equivalent qualifications in quality assurance in higher education;
  • Minimum five years administrative experience at the mid to senior level in higher education administration;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a blend of academic leadership and administrative management experience;
  • Minimum five years’ experience and demonstrated expertise in planning, assessment, and accreditation compliance; and,
  • Experience using technology for teaching, learning and systems management.

Responsibilities
  • Providing customer service regarding collection issues, processing customer refunds, process, and reviewing account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts- Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations, and processing credit memos.
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
  • Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
  • Must communicate & follow up effectively with the sales department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with dealers and sales.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years High Volume corporate field Collections experience.
  • Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures
  • Accounts Receivable knowledge/experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
