 Job Purpose:


As GM City, you will be responsible to build and align strategy for the assigned Region/City, own the on-ground operations and grow the Region/City.

What you'll do:
  • Monitor P&L on a daily level.
  • Deep dive into category assortment and depth.
  • Keep an eye on the health of retailers and growth.
  • Daily catch-up with N-1.
  • Weekly catch-up with N-4.
  • Assign clear ownership on projects.
  • Coordinate with central team on app transition, category shift and aligning strategy.
  • Strategic planning of capacity, sales and financial.
  • Recruitment planning for the Region/City.
  • Review movement of S and P on weekly basis.
  • Conduct annual, quarterly and monthly manpower budgeting.

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions with strong business acumen

Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company will provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”  

 

NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of EgyptIsrael and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.”

 

NEOM will be the home and workplace to more than a million residents from around the world. It will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations. As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders and companies will come to research, incubate and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways.

 

Detailed Job Description

Summary:

Manages and performs activities associated with determining contracting strategy, formation, tendering, and award of contract packages for the NEOM project. Activities will include working with the client, internal teams and consultants. The role requires commercial acumen from experience in formation and administration activities on construction mega-projects.

 

Job Dimensions:

1.    Work product output to achieve milestones.

2.    Coordination with project management, other departments, client and consultants.

3.    Preparing and reviewing contract component documents to confirm they are complete, aligned and free of errors.

4.    Maintenance of systems, procedures and controls in coordination with others.

5.    May be required to manage others to provide guidance on risk allocation, package component alignment and delivery performance needs.

6.    Definition of strategy for appropriate formation matched to project needs.

7.    Team player able to direct and receive guidance and feedback.

8.    Reports to the Senior Formation Manager and / or Project Commercial Manager.

 

Essential Skills:

·    Minimum of 15 years contract formation and administration experience on major construction projects.

·    Ability to coordinate and influence others without always having the delegated authority.

 

Preferred Skills:

·    Experience Middle East / Saudi Arabia.

 

Living Conditions:

Living and working mostly in Riyadh with visits to the NEOM project site. This is a single status assignment with furnished accommodation provided in Riyadh. When visiting the NEOM project site camp accommodation will be provided.

 Job Description

Role

Provides management direction, and includes administrative and supervisory responsibilities, involving all quality activities on several small to medium sized projects and/or programs, or functional areas to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons Quality requirements. This position provides leadership to quality professionals and the development and implementation of Quality systems, procedures, and related quality activities. Regularly interacts with senior-level representatives from a variety of functional groups, including program management, design/engineering, purchasing, construction, and other personnel.

Responsibilities

Participates in the interview and selection process (including hiring recommendations), and makes staffing assignments in accordance with schedule requirements. Conducts performance evaluations and makes appropriate recommendations for required actions, including recommendations for advancement, changes in status, or disciplinary action. Manages the salary administration process,

including preparing the annual salary plan and recommending salary actions for merit increases and/or promotions.

Provides Quality Systems leadership using the ISO 9001 Standard as the basis for process development and optimization, procedure development, data collection and reporting and Quality Systems training. Interfaces at senior and executive levels with regard to ISO 9000 process improvement and reengineering.

Develops and maintains Quality Policy, Processes, Procedures and related documents. Reviews Quality Manuals, documents, and implementation procedures to verify compliance with industry codes and standards, regulations and regulatory commitments.

Participates in Client pre-bid, bid or contract planning and preparation.

Plans and executes required audit activities (schedules, plans, reports, finding resolutions, etc.).

Performs and adequately documents Internal Quality Audits of assigned office, projects and jobsites, and manages all related follow-up activities. Audits conducted to assure compliance with Parsons standards, contract requirements, and applicable codes, specifications and drawings, including but not limited to: Design, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, Project Controls, Vendor/Subcontractor

Management, Receiving, Handling & Storage, Construction, etc.

Facilitates all internal and external Quality audits and briefs management with the results.

Effectively documents, follows-up and closes corrective actions - both internal and external. Analyzes findings/ issues/ non-conformances identified during audits to determine program quality and identify performance trends. Analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data.

Handles qualification audits of suppliers of purchased items and services.

Assures audited activities meet Parsons’ quality program, and Client quality requirements.

Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.

Promotes safety awareness including adhering to safety rules and requirements. Participates, as needed, in safety field audits and assessments.

Reviews from a quality perspective (and approves if required) documents prepared by internal or external organizations such as quality manuals and procedures, technical deliverables, test plans and procedures, purchase orders, and subcontracts.

Collaborates with management for interface on Quality activities with internal or external organizations (customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and others).

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience) and typically 12+ years of related work experience in the field of Quality, including 5+ years experience in management capacity. Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQ certification (CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE).

Preferred

Membership in a nationally-recognized Quality organization. Professional Engineer registration. Other related certifications may include, but are not limited to: Building Inspector, NQA-1 (nuclear auditor), NDT (ASNT), Welding Inspector (AWS), DOT. Possesses working knowledge of more than one area of industry such as infrastructure, government, aviation, process, or transportation.

Requires management ability and knowledge of Quality Management practices, processes and current technology.

Requires thorough experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations.
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly, conduct presentations to management and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Proficiency in analyzing situations in business terms, i.e. ROI, cost per unit, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with other departments in a tactful and effective manner.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical, problem solving, and risk assessment skills. Ability to make public presentations.

Job Description

  • The candidate should enforce the concept of operational team in his factory and should be able to train, develop individuals and to amplify potential expertise among his team. The FM should be able to localize the target jobs in candy factory to achieve the Saudization percentage as defined by HR department.
  • Lead and manage all plant operations to realize a competent profitability for the factory while developing continuous Improvement culture to achieve required production volumes defined by the supply chain planning team, in compliance with quality standards and in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators.
  • Lead and manage the maintenance team to assure the proper planning of maintenance activities including preventive maintenance, corrective and breakdown maintenance. He should have solid background and hands-on experience to be capable with the maintenance team to define the requirements and set efficient plans to improve machines performance. The Factory Manager is responsible to establish the culture of total productive maintenance (TPM) and to commission the knowledge and practical experience of PM & AM principles.

The Successful Applicant

  • B.Sc. in Engineering is a must
  • Minimum 5 year's experience in factory manager role is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-10 years in candy making industry. Good knowledge in high-speed double twist, stick pack wrapping machines (ACMA GD), batch & continuous cooking processing lines for both HBC and soft toffees.
  • Age between 40 - 45 years
