JOB PURPOSE:


To manage the overall vendor and category management’s activities and processes pertaining to supply chain planning, category management and supplier management by providing advice and guiding the development and implementation of category-specific supply strategies, ensuring best suppliers for all products and services are specified and used to achieve maximum procurement value for the business.


 


Job Specific Accountabilities


Supply Chain Planning & Category Management


Develop TAQA’s short and long-term supply chain and category management strategy and plans and oversee the implementation to ensure alignment with TAQA’s strategy and business plans.


Develop an efficient supply chain and procurement cycle and process for TAQA to define a structural approach for provision of procurement services across the organization in a convenient and optimal way.


Manage and guide the benchmarking studies on procurement best practices by other organisations in order to support the continuous improvement agenda of the department.


Identify the common sourcing needs for the operating companies (OPCOs) and review BLs inputs and annual plans, and past category tree in order to optimize the sourcing process for TAQA.


Analyse current procurement and contract requirements to recommend improvement or cost reduction measures via innovative approaches in achieving economies of scale and long-term price agreements.


Review analysis reports on various internal demand across the OPCOs (e.g. spending patterns, end user specifications and current / future requirements, spend categories, etc.) to ensure thorough and detailed demand analysis generation to aid the development of strategic sourcing strategy and models.


Review the supplier analysis report by ensuring all criteria, factors and guidelines are taken into account in order to create an open and competitive environment to source for each category is established.


Work closely with all internal departments and BLs to ensure fulfilment of obligations by contractors and approve or reject requests for deviation from contract specifications to ensure adherence of suppliers to agreements and enhance the supply portfolio.


 


Vendor Management


Manage the identification of profitable suppliers and initiation of business and organization strategic partnerships to ensure favourable prices and services are provided to TAQA.


Ensure that the vendor and category management and procurement teams maintain positive working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality and delivery targets are being met.


Develop and maintain an extensive database of suppliers and contractors for all categories to help in sourcing requirements in a timely and efficient manner.


Guide and manage the overall supplier management activities and processes, including the supplier registration and pre-qualification, supplier segmentation, supplier performance management, and integrate the analysis, outcomes in order to attain joint advantage and collaboration between TAQA and its suppliers.


Plan and manage the implementation of supplier performance management processes and activities, including supplier performance evaluations and the supplier development actions.


Work closely with the finance team to ensure the timely and accurate process of supplier payment.


Maintain productive relationships with key suppliers and follow up with them on issues escalated by internal teams in order to ensure timely order receipt and complaint resolution.


Effectively collaborate with the Procurement team in the process of supplier selection for any major and long-term contracts for TAQA, in collaboration with the business to ensure selection of the most beneficial suppliers at favourable terms for TAQA.


Continually update the supplier database based on the evaluations and feedback provided by the internal stakeholders and remain abreast with new suppliers in the market to ensure selection of the most appropriate and suitable suppliers and contractors for TAQA.

JOB PURPOSE:


TAQA Group, one of the largest integrated utilities in the region and listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, is hiring a Brand and Events Manager reporting to the Director of External Communications to be based in Abu Dhabi. This role will strengthen the Group’s brand identity internally and externally as well as develop and execute an events strategy alongside budget planning.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Responsible for the development of events strategy aligned with brand programs

Develop and recommend marketing strategies to increase brand recognition

Coordinate with third party suppliers and organizers

Create a brand implementation map and train employees

Manage TAQA Group’s participation at events and exhibitions

Provide strategic guidance on events that align with the company’s vision

Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners

Identify branding opportunities for high visibility

REQUIREMENTS:


Education and Experience


Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Advertising, Business, Marketing, Mass Communications or another related field

5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of regional experience

Skills


Very organized with clear communications

Excellent written and oral English required, Arabic preferred

Proficient in Microsoft applications as well as InDesign and Photoshop

Project management experience

Strong analytical and research skills

Must be collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills

Job Purpose: 

The Head of IT Strategy will lead the creation of strategies and plans that define how technology should be utilized to enable an organization's overall business strategy and apply knowledge of best practices to define how technology will shape the overall strategy, governance, organization structure/staffing, architecture and processes to maximize the impact of technology for TAQA.


Responsibilities: 

Design technology strategy and planning workshops based on business objectives and stakeholder analysis including adopting appropriate approach/methods, facilitation techniques, pre-work, artifacts and deliverables

Lead a multi-disciplinary cross functional team in the planning and execution of technology strategy and planning workshops

Maintains knowledge of evolving trends in technology strategy and management and applies those to develop innovative approaches to deliver value for the organization.

Qualifications: 


Minimum Qualification

Bachelor s degree in a related field (i. e., Business, Computer Science or Information Systems)

Minimum Experience

12+ years in IT roles spanning strategy, architecture (business, data, digital, information systems, infrastructure) and/or delivery functions driving digital transformation and data strategy leveraging emerging technologies and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google)

Minimum 5 years of experience in at least 2 of the example offerings (IT Value Strategy, Technology Innovation and Ecosystems, IT Operating Model, Enterprise Architecture Strategy)

Minimum 5 years of experience writing business cases (quantitative and qualitative) to support strategic business initiatives, process improvement initiatives, or IT transformation recommendations

Ability to lead the planning, organizing and facilitation of executive-level strategic or IT planning workshops and ability to orchestrate emerging technologies to client services and solutions on cloud platform

Excellent interpersonal skills especially in areas of teamwork, facilitation, influence, and negotiation

Experience in Big Four (or similar professional services firms) working across client-facing business lines such as Advisory is a plus

Agile strategy, Agile transformation, Agile operating model

DevOps design experience, CI/CD, Product Based Operating Model and Org Design

Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Broad, diverse experience and knowledge of major technologies (legacy to emerging)
