Job Purpose: 

The Head of IT Strategy will lead the creation of strategies and plans that define how technology should be utilized to enable an organization's overall business strategy and apply knowledge of best practices to define how technology will shape the overall strategy, governance, organization structure/staffing, architecture and processes to maximize the impact of technology for TAQA.


Responsibilities: 

Design technology strategy and planning workshops based on business objectives and stakeholder analysis including adopting appropriate approach/methods, facilitation techniques, pre-work, artifacts and deliverables

Lead a multi-disciplinary cross functional team in the planning and execution of technology strategy and planning workshops

Maintains knowledge of evolving trends in technology strategy and management and applies those to develop innovative approaches to deliver value for the organization.

Maximize business value by conducting rigorous analyses and developing strategic multi-year road maps in concert with other IT leaders and business teams.

Drive IT transformation efforts; own/shape the move toward an agile, product based operating model

Partner with business functions to identify new opportunities including process and/or value chain analysis, business service model, business canvas, process and solution enablement plan

Scout emerging technologies and define new opportunities that can add business value

Defines appropriate processes and manages compliance to ensure corporate delivery quality at product/platform/program level (e. g. requirements management, risk management, change management, issue management, resource management, project accounting etc.)

Executes a governance process to provide corporate executive leadership with visibility into program performance and decision making ability

Owns and manages the financial health of IT programs and projects and the IT financial management and budget process (G&A and capital plan)

IT Value Strategy: shaping the direction of IT to align the overall shareholder and business vision and objectives and drive measurable improvements

Technology Innovation and Eco-systems: exploring new and emerging technologies to create a vision of how technology will shape the future and invent the next wave of cutting-edge business solutions

Operating Model: shaping how the IT will need to operate to achieve IT and stakeholder objectives and workforce talent strategy

Enterprise Architecture Strategy: developing the foundation for business and technology capabilities and execution improvement

Qualifications: 


Minimum Qualification

Bachelor s degree in a related field (i. e., Business, Computer Science or Information Systems)

Minimum Experience

12+ years in IT roles spanning strategy, architecture (business, data, digital, information systems, infrastructure) and/or delivery functions driving digital transformation and data strategy leveraging emerging technologies and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google)

Minimum 5 years of experience in at least 2 of the example offerings (IT Value Strategy, Technology Innovation and Ecosystems, IT Operating Model, Enterprise Architecture Strategy)

Minimum 5 years of experience writing business cases (quantitative and qualitative) to support strategic business initiatives, process improvement initiatives, or IT transformation recommendations

Ability to lead the planning, organizing and facilitation of executive-level strategic or IT planning workshops and ability to orchestrate emerging technologies to client services and solutions on cloud platform

Excellent interpersonal skills especially in areas of teamwork, facilitation, influence, and negotiation

Experience in Big Four (or similar professional services firms) working across client-facing business lines such as Advisory is a plus

Agile strategy, Agile transformation, Agile operating model

DevOps design experience, CI/CD, Product Based Operating Model and Org Design

Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Excellent leadership and management skills

Experience leading or managing small teams effectively and planning/structuring analytical work

Broad, diverse experience and knowledge of major technologies (legacy to emerging)

Job Purpose

The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for the system to work as front liners. Their role is to define strategy and lead the implementation of DevSecOps pipelines with Mashreq digital and non-digital journeys. Orchestrates build and release pipelines and ensure seamless application promotion for all the digital squads. Provide necessary support to Agile coach, scrum master, development squads and automate complete rollouts including non-production and production for all the applications which includes APIs, Database promotions as well. Also ensure the container platform configuration setup and availability in azure cloud environment.

Performs Life Cycle Management (including decommissioning) for IT products under management

Define and Improves the Continuous Delivery process

Sets up the IT environment, deploys the IT product on the IT infrastructure and implements the required changes.

Expert in Azure DevOps services

Hands-on in Pipeline creation using the templates and enhance the existing templates based on the needs

Able to perform Integration by coding the templates with various DevOps tools like SonarQube, Veracode, Twistlock, Ansible, Terraform, hashicorp vault and UCD.

Implement Azure test plan setup and configuration with pipelines

Automate cloud-based deployments for Springboot Java, reactjs, nodejs, .Net core and using native K8 and AKS/EKS/OpenShift

Experience in setting up Kubernetes cluster with ingress controllers (nginx and nginx+)

Experience in Azure files and synz solution implementation

Experience in Logging and mentoring using Splunk, EFK and ELK

Experience in Middleware on-premises automated deployments for WebSphere, Jboss, BPM, IIS and IIB
