Senior Relationship Manager – Lease Rental Discounting, Mashreq Bank
Job Purpose
To deliver the Lease Rental Discounting sales targets and to maintain strong relationships with existing clients of the bank.
Play an active & integral role in deal origination efforts and coordinating between client and product team(s) in the mandate execution.
Maximize utilization of approved Credit limits, by facilitating transactions & addressing Operations &/or Documentation requirements
Responsible for credit risk assessment, risk rating and structuring of facilities for assigned corporate relationships working with Credit Relationship Managers (CRMs), meeting the customers, preparing Credit Proposals (CPs) and liaising with Wholesale Risk Management (WRM) and the Compliance Unit to resolve all queries related to risk and compliance issues, respectively
To achieve assigned financial and nonfinancial objectives by meeting all borrowing & non borrowing needs of customers with target segments (Viz. borrowers, transactors, depositors).
Actively source new-to-bank customers and generate new business from walk-in customers. Manage all customers focusing on relationship Management & up-selling/ deep-selling/ cross selling other bank products.
Key Result Areas
Achieve monthly sales targets of the team.
Identify and develop opportunities to maximize penetration in key markets & free zones.
Acquire and build a portfolio of relationship clients through Lease Rental Discounting Business and other Front-end revenue products within the defined target market of Business Banking
Enhancing the relationship revenue from new and existing portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing accounts by cross-selling and up-selling products.
Manage existing & new Lease Rental Discounting relationships.
Responsible for the assigned assets, revenue and liabilities targets.
Ensuring that the Risk reward equation is maintained by charging optimum pricing as per the segment.
Responsible for quality and soundness of Lease Rental Discounting portfolio (Monitoring all assets products maturities, KYC reviews, monitoring for due diligence, anti-money laundering procedures etc.)
Control daily activity i.e. Calls, Appointments, Meetings, Closures, References, Cross Sells to achieve targeted sales numbers.
Ensure to achieve all KPI and KPA standards that include phone calls and face-to-face visits besides monthly financial targets.
Identify and segments target market and develop new business to broad base the portfolio and pursue growth opportunities.
Assume complete ownership of customer relationship management for the assigned portfolio of accounts. Provide superior customer service.
Liaise with superiors and direct reports within the business unit, Risk Management and related enabler units within the bank to achieve business objectives.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
In-depth understanding of multiple product areas of the bank, thus having the capability to constructively engage with client senior management to drive new business opportunities
In-depth knowledge of the Bank's policies and operating systems.
Understanding of economic trends vis-à-vis understanding of regional / global financial markets.
Strong credit and marketing skills along-with intuitive / judgment skills to evaluate risks beyond the obvious.
Strong interpersonal and communication ability.
Minimum 5 - 10 years of relevant experience is required.
