Team Manager - Business Loans/MBF- Mashreq Bank
Job Purpose
To lead a team of Relationship Managers and ARMs to deliver the team sales targets. Lead and manage Secured BIL & MBF portfolio.
Actively work with Head – Secured BIL, MBF, Merchant Lending and support the RMs in meeting their pre-set financial and non-financial objectives.
Liaise within the Credit and business chain to achieve business objectives
Key Result Areas
Achieve monthly sales targets of the team.
Identify and develop opportunities to maximize penetration in key markets & free zones.
Acquire and build a portfolio of relationship clients through Secured BIL & MBF and other Front-end revenue products within the defined target market of Business Banking
Drive the team on enhancing relationship revenue from new and existing portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing accounts by cross-selling and up-selling products.
Manage existing & new Secured BIL & MBF relationships.
Responsible for the assigned assets and revenue targets.
Ensuring that the Risk reward equation is maintained by charging optimum pricing as per the segment.
Responsible for quality and soundness of Secured BIL & MBF portfolio (Monitoring all assets products maturities, KYC reviews, monitoring for due diligence, anti-money laundering procedures etc.)
Control daily activity i.e. Calls, Appointments, Meetings, Closures, References, Cross Sells of all the team members to achieve targeted sales numbers for the team.
Ensure staff achieves all KPI and KPA standards that include phone calls and face-to-face visits besides monthly financial targets.
Identify and segments target market and develop new business to broad base the portfolio and pursue growth opportunities.
Actively provide deal support to the RMs in structuring and product suitability
Take complete ownership of customer relationship management for the assigned portfolio of accounts. Provide superior customer service.
Adhere to all compliance & regulatory policies with regards to Credit/KYC/AML etc as set out by the bank from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Complete knowledge and clear understanding of the Bank’s credit policy, operating systems and focus on the Small Business Segment.
Banking Sales & service experience with proven Team Leader qualities
Requires advanced vocational know-how of the subject matter (viz. Credit, Trade, Operating System, Legal, etc…)
Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
Minimum 10 years + relevant banking experience in local or international market.
MBA/CA or if a regular graduate needs to possess adequate relevant experience.
