Quality Control Inspector, Amentum, Abu Dhabi, UAE

The Quality Control Inspector performs technical and visual inspections towards the reconstitution, preservation and maintenance of all assets. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all applicable USAF mandatory requirements. Develops and monitors Quality Control, Safety and Environmental Programs in support of subject area. Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with Company Quality Management System. Ensure audit findings are correct and recommendations for corrective and/or preventive action(s) are appropriate. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Principal Accountabilities

    Inspects all repairs, replacement of parts and assemblies, realignments and adjustments. Ensures the completion of maintenance forms such as work orders, parts request sheets and maintenance sheets and trains others in proper documentation procedures.
    Records data such as hours worked, work performed, parts used and ensures complete and correct completion of work orders.
    Ensures safety practices and housekeeping are maintained to the highest standard.
    Checks all repairs to ensure the highest quality repair standards are met.
    Checks to make sure that only current up-to-date Technical Orders and commercial manuals are used when repairing items.
    Performs random In-Process and Final Product inspections on all Production, Inspection and Maintenance operations.
    Randomly reviews production and inspection schedules, work orders and historical orders to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
    Performs random inspections on tools, shop equipment, safety equipment and protective clothing.
    Reviews and evaluate work processes and facilities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001.
    Ensure internal audits are conducted of actual practices against published policies, standards, procedures, regulatory guidance, contract and processes.
    Ensure audit findings are correct and that recommendations for corrective and/or preventive action(s) are appropriate and conform to Amentum quality standards.
    Ensure cross-tell is being conducted between shops and sites for non-conformances.
    Monitors workshop practices and housekeeping to identify discrepancies and negative trends that affect technical performance.
    Performs other duties as assigned.
    Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

Minimum Requirements

    Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an advanced level.
    Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
    Should be capable of producing Analysis Reports and Spreadsheets.
    Must be familiar with OSHA/AFOSH Standards and Industrial safety practices.
    Must be conversant with USAF Technical Order and publications system.
    Ability to interpret and implement procedures for compliance with ISO 9001 Standards is essential.
    Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
    Will be required to operate material handling equipment.
    High School diploma or equivalent.
    Five years of related maintenance actions required.
    Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
    Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

    Three years in an inspection role for subject area desired.

The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to Senior Audit Officer and Manager Audit and Cash Management in setting up policies and drawing out different responsibilities of the Revenue Audit & Cash Management section of Dubai Metro & Tram.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    Audit, track and ensure the revenue generated from stations are properly being accounted, reconciled and deposited in bank nominated by RTA.
    Daily Cash Reconciliation for all stations.
    Reconciliation of Manual Revenue reports, System Reports and CCC reports.
    Reconcile reports between AFC Level 1 and AFC Level 3.
    Regularly review and take measures to ensure that Surplus and Loss at the stations are minimized.
    Ensure established refund process is being followed and investigate any irregularities getting highlighted in the reports or via the Surplus and Loss.
    Investigate any abnormal trends and report to the line heads and the management on the first occurrence.
    Generation and collation of revenue reports from all the stations and publish different reports periodically.
    Perform stock management and inventory control; storage of stock and deployment of stock at stations & car parks will be done on the basis of stock reports.
    Perform daily cross checking of reports from the stations and car parks and will do physical count as well at stations and car parks if it requires.
    Ensure Adequate Stock planning and Deployment of stock to all stations.
    Audit and ensure that the cash floats are intact at the stations and review the requirements periodically.
    Management of revenue forms and reports for new stations, including updating and changing them regularly as per the RTA guidelines.
    Ensure through regular audit exercises that there should not be any fraudulent activity happening in the ticket offices and car parks.
    Responsible of Operational level of Audit and will do Monthly audits.
    Audit Officer will remain out and about on the stations and perform physical checks as well.
    Monitor and guide junior audit officer in performing their tasks and responsibilities.
    Assist Senior Audit Officer in performing the tasks assigned by Manager Audit & Cash Management.
    Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by the Senior Audit Officer and Manager Audit and Cash Management.

 

KEY SKILLS

    A mature, proactive and responsible approach to work with initiative and problem-solving capability.
    Ability to liaise in a professional and persuasive manner with staff at all levels in the organisation.
    Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    Good literacy and numeracy skills required for the role.
    Ability to understand complex systems and possess good IT skills.
    Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
    Ability to work in an efficient and flexible manner in unsupervised circumstances.

 
EXPERIENCE

    Minimum of 2 years, preferably 1 years of work experience in the related field.

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

    Ideally a degree holder in Accounts/Finance/Commerce.

·         Achievement of Budgeted sales figures.

·         Work in conjunction with Operations and Finance in satisfying customer aspirations.

·         To comply with all aspects of Terminal’s Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Supply chain security management systems
·           Any other responsibility/task; not limited to the above mentioned tasks,  that may be assigned from time to time in view of the job requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

·         Graduate of any background, preferably with management degree in  Marketing.

·          Experience of 2-3 years in marketing.

·         Experience in Shipping/Logistics industry would be preferred.

·         Excellent Communication Skill.
·           Good Knowledge of Computer.
