Your Opportunity  

We are looking to hire an Asset Overhaul Technician. The purpose of this position is to assist the Overhaul Engineer in the team’s maintenance work to achieve its objectives as stipulated under the maintenance standards of Serco Palm Jumeirah Transit System.

 

The ideal candidate should have the ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings as required.

 

This role will work closely with our technical team and stakeholders in one of our prestigious contracts in Dubai – Palm Jumeirah Monorail.

 

Key accountabilities

Carry out all level of preventive, corrective maintenance and overhaul activities and minor modifications on electrical, mechanical, and electronics components of the building services, depot equipment, signaling system, MEPS, HVAC, communication systems and networks

Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment, replace faulty equipment and handover/taken back to the electro-mechanical workshop for repair;

Ensure the maintenance tools & equipment are in good condition both before and after job activities

Carry out functional test, troubleshoot, and assemble/disassemble tests as required, repair and replace defective parts in building services, rolling stock, communication systems and signaling systems

Follow the relevant procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with Serco Palm Monorail requirements

Perform roles necessary for the management of the safe system of works, including to meet tight maintenance schedules.

 

Specific requirements

Minimum 5-years work experience as a qualified Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or building service technician in maintaining and repairing Mechanical & Electrical facilities covering platform screen doors system, lighting system, environmental control systems, Automatic Train Control, Rolling Stock, generators, communications systems, LV power control system and emergency power supply system

Vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent

Working knowledge in maintaining and repairing motors and pumps, relays, I/O modules, control units, wirings, bearings, drive belts, coils, gearboxes, damper, values, impellers, motor controls, air handling units, chilled water system, fire alarm panels, fire pumps, UPS, batteries and diesel engines, etc. would be a definite advantage

Knowledge and experience in operating and in interfacing infrastructure management system is essential.

Proposal Engineer

Fugro Middle East has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Proposal Engineer.

The role requires exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage competing deadlines, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong collaborative approach to deliver high-quality proposals that reflect Fugro's distinct engineering services.

The role will involve working within our central expertise team and commercial team who are responsible for managing commercial management office.

Job responsibilities:

Driving adoption of CRM and sales pipeline management best practices by working with sales/commercial teams and ensuring data in CRM System is up to date and complete

Ensuring  the  accurate  and  up-to-date prequalification/registration with clients. Coordination with Proposal Manager and follow up price trend of the assets and compare the market trend

In charge of supervising and arranging the customized proposal creation process, which involves gathering the information/material, ensuring the proposal is submitted on time, and collaborating with internal and external teams to obtain specialized content necessary for a compliant and responsive proposal submission.

Creating and finalizing non-priced proposal deliverables while ensuring compliance and responsiveness of the complete proposal (including priced deliverables), as well as the quality of the deliverables. This includes, but is not limited to: developing, producing, formatting, and maintaining proposal templates, documents, and related materials.

Managing and organizing the proposal schedule and matrices.

Coordinating and organizing specialized content input, including input from subcontractors.

Conducting research to support the proposal development.

Recognizing and providing assistance with resolving issues related to proposal development.

Executing and enhancing the proposal process from initial planning to final delivery, while also providing assistance with post-submission deliverables.

Requesting and analysing feedback on unsuccessful proposals to consistently enhance our approach.

You bring (qualifications & experience)

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or Geophysics and experience in offshore Geophysics is essential.

Prior experience in a Proposal Engineering role or a comparable position. Proficiency in writing, including the ability to combine technical, persuasive, and creative writing methods, is crucial Aptitude for strategic and analytical thinking.

Ability to prepare bills of quantities, understanding cost elements

Excellent communication abilities, including influencing skills – verbal and written.

Attention to detail - Possessing editing and assembling skills to deliver consistent, accurate, and concise materials to our clients. This includes reviewing all proposal inputs to safeguard the security and integrity of all documents in accordance with the RFP requirements and company standards.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI and Microsoft project with advanced skills.

Previous experience using Salesforce or Client face role.

Overview of the role

The primary focus of the role will be to develop and support process expertise on logistics business processes encompassing freight, warehouse, finished vehicles, general transport, passenger transport and relocations.

 

What you will do    

Accountable for overarching framework design for how operating processes are captured, reviewed and deployed, creating an efficient delivery pipeline that engages people throughout each stage to drive buy in and accountability

Facilitated strategic planning to determine macro and micro-SWOT analysis, devise long-term & short-term goals, define objectives, roadmaps and KPIs based on the organization’s strategic directions.

Implement the metrics and manage the performance non-conformities

Facilitate the business functions to define objective aligned with ISO and set goals and targets that measure and deliver quality

Conduct a process mapping exercise across logistics operations in collaboration with subject matter experts

Document the process flow and detailed standard operating procedures & E-Learning. Implement SOPs across the functions and ensure regular reviews of the process for necessary updates

Continuous review of front-end business and core processes to identify opportunities for digitization and implementing changes in operations to make it more efficient, effective whilst strengthening the risk management and compliance

Define, manage checks and measure processes for ensuring adherence to operating standards

Baselining using data and analyse and demonstrate quantifiable improvements in performance, productivity, revenue, cost, utilisation or quality

Identify and inform management of process efficiency opportunities and propose solutions

Devise training and development plans for associates relating to quality assurance compliance and new regulations and logistics functional workstreams

Create training guidelines and demo trainings for customers and associates

 

Required skills to be successful

A Data Science or Computer Engineering University Degree is preferred.

Minimum 5 years’ overall experience in a multinational environment in logistics, manufacturing or food industry

Well versed in Power BI, Power App and Power Automate

Microsoft certified in Alteryx, Azure, Dataverse

About the team

Reporting to the Head of Customer Solutions, Marketing and Quality and will support the logistics business such as freight, warehouse, finished vehicles, general transport, passenger transport and relocations.

What equips you for the role

Highly skilled in operational process planning and execution, with clear examples of leading operational teams in the planning and delivery of continuous improvement backlogs (+ training functions desirable)

Commercial acumen, clear strategic thinking and ability to create buy-in and influence all work levels (senior stakeholders and operations cross functional teams)

Analytical, Process oriented, good communication skills, exposure technological automations or super user with knowledge in SAP/ Cargowise inbound and outbound process.

The job holder should have strong documentation ability in development of policies and procedures.
