Rejlers International Engineering Solutions AB operates in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and delivers high-quality engineering and project services to Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries mainly in UAE and other Arabian Gulf Countries. This year the Company has been operating in UAE for 14 years and its parent company has been in business for 80 years. We share a strong Nordic Engineering heritage of high-quality and frontline innovations.

We are now looking for Electrical Engineer to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Reports To

The Electrical Engineer reports to the assigned Line Manager.

Job Overview

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.

This role will Execute multiple projects (local and international) and will also be responsible to prepare Electrical engineering documents and drawings as required for project and assigned by the Project Manager.

The ideal candidate should have a desire to be at the forefront of the oil and gas sector and deliver outstanding projects.

Hunger for learning and sharing new ideas will be the cornerstone of your success. We also value people for whom safety are part of their professional skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will support the team on process industry-based project design work for smooth execution.

Ensure verification of source data, concept drawings / concepts as required.

Prepare and finalize the engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) in coordination with all relevant department / discipline, submission date as per Client / Contract requirements.

Preparation of all electrical related design deliverables through MS-office, Smart plant electrical tools (SPEL), AUTOCAD, Micro-station, and calculation tools like ETAP, Cable sizing, lighting calculation (DiaLux) etc.

Should be very familiar with Relay Setting and Coordination, CT Sizing, etc.

Additional Knowledge in OHL, GIS, EHT, C.P, OLCMS, IPCS, VSD etc.

Prepare the procurement related documents like RFQ, MR & TBE

Review of vendor documents ensuring compliance with purchase order requirements. Prepare / review the design outputs in the form of design computations, drawings and specification.

Review of design document, drawings, etc. issued by various disciplines, design subcontractor and ensure Client’s approval.

Responsible to ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings and necessary coordination with Client.

Understand and include design requirements for health, safety, quality and constructability into design deliverable.

Overall responsible for inter discipline coordination, submission of necessary design documents/ deliverables and procedures to the Client.

Should be very familiar with ADNOC Standards, IEC, BS, tec.

Participate E-HAZOP, HAZID, for the design has been carried out in accordance to the requirements

Ensure compliance to Laws and Statutory Regulations, Authority, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Requirements for the project.

Responsible to ensure unclear issues are resolved with Client through technical query in coordination with inter discipline leads, managers.

In coordination with procurement department, ensure that procurement inputs required for design has been obtained from vender and forwarded to the design subcontractor.

Participation of FAT, SAT, commissioning, pre-commissioning.

Coordinate for the preparation of as-built.

Qualifications

Engineering Graduate (BSc. or MSc.)

6- 8 years relevant engineering experience in Electrical competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.

Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Onshore

Working experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) is an advantage

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Team player, smart-working, problem solver and can-do attitude

Fluent in English language, Arabic is an added advantage.

Geotechnical Investigations

Assessment of Geotechnical Parameters

Preparation of Ground Models for different design situations

Shallow Foundation Design

Deep Foundation Design

Earthworks (Embankment) Design

Slope Design

Excavation Lateral Support Design

Ground Improvement Design

Liquefaction Assessment

The following would be considered beneficial

Geophysical Survey

Seismic Design

Geotechnics of dam design

The use of the following software packages or their equivalent is required.

Slope/W or Slide

Seep/W

Plaxis 2D or RS2 or Sigma/W

Repute, Group and LPile

PDisp or Settle 3D

CPeT-IT

CLiq or Liquefy-Pro

A 3D FEM would be considered an advantage.

Good knowledge of contracts relating to investigation, survey and construction works.

A balance of experience between design and site would be an added benefit.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University in one or more of the following subjects and a Master of Science / Engineering or PhD would be preferred.

Rock Mechanics

Rock Engineering

Mining Engineering

Working towards CEng, PE, or equivalent licensing/registration as a professional engineer.

Relevant registration required in Qatar, Bahrain and UAE.

Generally, 2+ years minimum experience but allowance would be given for the Masters and PhD qualified people and for the right candidate.

Overview

To serve the growing needs of Pearson’s exam delivery business, the Client Channel Operations Manager is responsible for supporting exam delivery through the implementation and on-going management of exam delivery solutions.

The appointed individual will report to the Head of Client Channel Operations, PTE and will help establish and maintain testing venues throughout the world with a focus on a designated geography. The Client Channel Operations Manager will research, identify and negotiate with multiple vendors from various fields to ensure adequate test delivery venue coverage and capacity.

It is the responsibility of the Client Channel Operations Manager to ensure that client program requirements are planned for and appropriately implemented in all associated testing venues. This role is also responsible for maintaining quality and security requirements and striving for process improvements and increased efficiencies. The Client Channel Operations Manager will frequently engage stakeholders and provide necessary updates and reports on program matters.

It involves understanding client requirements, setting-up timelines and implementation plans, negotiating priorities and contributions from other teams within Pearson organisations and external 3rd party suppliers, meeting company and client quality standards, and communicating and reporting both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for securing and maintaining exam delivery venues that will provide the required level of secure capacity and geographic coverage per regional and global expectations

Work closely with Pearson’s Quality, Capacity and Sales Teams, to provide the necessary support to test centres

Develop and utilize proactive monitoring processes to meet program expectations and global standards

Support the business by ensuring that client satisfaction levels are achieved to a high standard and issues are recognised, documented and resolved

Liaising with the wider Pearson team, and agencies where appropriate, to help deliver successful testing events, when needed

Supporting other initiatives as provided by the Director, Test Administration Solutions where appropriate

Develop strong relationships with Pearson colleagues to maximise effectiveness of exam delivery solutions

Responsible for coordinating channel activity and exam delivery to ensure capacity demands are met; this may include contributing to the strategy for new channel expansion

Ensure client satisfaction levels are achieved to a high standard and issues are recognised, documented and resolved

Provide input to channel strategy for long term success of exam delivery

Ensure adequate capacity and coverage is provided to meet forecasts

Key Activities

Facilitate the establishment of testing venues to meet the requisite footprint for exam delivery

Launch and provide ongoing management of new channel solutions

Take part in the preparation of exam coordination and delivery reports

Arrange and plan visits to select sites, as needed

Work with stakeholders, trainers and document writers to ensure the provision of appropriate process, training and operational reports and documentation

Participate in Channel Sales calls, as needed, and facilitate the on-boarding of new 3rd party test centres

​Raise awareness of localised testing challenges and implement appropriate resolutions

Essential Experience and Qualifications

Enthusiastic, energetic team player who has the ability to work on their own, whilst possessing the ability to seek assistance and/or escalate concerns when required

Degree educated

Ability to work positively within a wider team

Ability to succeed under remote supervision

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Ability to exceed customer expectations

Comfortable presenting to senior-level stakeholders

Ability to adapt to new business practices and respond positively

Excellent English, both written and verbal

Fully familiar with the Microsoft Office suite and associated packages

Full valid and non-restrictive passport

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

International work experience and cultural awareness preferred

Experience of coordinating a range of event types

Previous experience in educational services or testing businesses preferred
