Founded by a group of parents who are passionate about open-ended non-judgmental play, OliOli® entails 8 interactive galleries comprising over 45 hands-on exhibits.

The Assistant Guest Engagement Manager will be a member of the senior team leading the guest engagement efforts at OliOli® Dubai. Among other things, they will be responsible for (a) all aspects of guest engagement and satisfaction including continuously strengthening and actively leading/inspiring a team of c. 20 frontline professionals, (b) supporting the implementation of different programs on a periodic basis, and (c) contributing to a culture of flawless execution of guest experiences and continuous improvement.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Engagement / Satisfaction:

Act as the Duty Manager on the floor and take full control of the museum operations on those occasions

Take full ownership of leading all aspects of guest engagement / satisfaction

Ensure that all children/guests visiting OliOli® have an awesome and memorable experience through a highly talented, effective, kind and committed frontline team

Guest feedback:

Accurately measure and respond to guest satisfaction on a periodic basis:

Effectively collect information from guests to understand how they spend their time in the space and how we can improve that experience through (a) reviews (b) frontline team and (c) guest interactions

Spend time on the floor, particularly during special program implementation to understand guest feedback and address it as appropriate

Structured compilation and sharing of the guest feedback with colleagues to address the complaints raised and avoid similar problems in the future

Identify any patterns/systemic issues in relation to guest dissatisfaction and resolve them in an optimal and appropriate manner

Check the various virtual platforms where guests provide their feedback and respond to guests as appropriate/required

Based on guest feedback, identify galleries/programs which require new/additional content and resources

Ensure that the frontline team is well-equipped to engage with different types of group visits, including field trips and birthday party visits

Leadership:

Ensure that the team has a thorough understanding of why OliOli® exists, and why we do what we do

Recruit/develop superstar facilitators as part of the frontline team

Contribute towards a positive, genuine, team-based, guest-first centric culture

Keep team morale high through a) recognizing star performers b) encouraging and enabling others to outperform c) sincerely caring for their development and growth d) having informal gatherings for team building activities, etc.

Supervise and oversee the performance of the frontline team; assess/evaluate and provide constructive feedback regularly with a continuous focus on their development and on improving guest satisfaction

Bring positive energy to the floor, and inspire the frontline team to ensure that kids/guests are having an amazing time

Develop + implement a training calendar for the frontline team that enables them to excel at engaging with guests in a meaningful way; bring in experts as/when appropriate + necessary

Ensure and enable transparent/effective communication within the team

Address team concerns, constraints, grievances in an empathetic and compassionate manner

Implementing the creative calendar:

Create the execution framework to deliver a variety of creative programs throughout the year

Develop a solid understanding of the programs and prepare the execution plan on a quarterly basis; prep the team and ensure they have clarity/visibility of expectations from them in relation to the programming activities

Work with local colleges and other institutions to identify and create a pool of part-time talent; develop and implement training programs to ensure they are able to deliver to the OliOli® standard

Take a particularly hands-on (on the floor) approach during bigger events and activations; speak with guests on a daily basis during such times to understand feedback and opportunities for improvement

Work with other colleagues to prepare a detailed debrief for each program

Operations/admin:

Manage the staffing schedule to optimize guest experience and satisfaction

Be responsible for all other administrative and operational aspects of the venue

Prepare monthly reports + ensure that the knowledge in relation to the guest engagement function is institutionalized through the right documents, templates and systems

Create mechanism with the creative to allow team members to submit ideas and carry through from concept to delivery

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior leadership experience within a guest engagement role in the relevant industry is a MUST

Minimum of 7-year work experience, including in Dubai is a MUST

Ability to work within a highly diverse and multicultural environment

Exceptional communication skills

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Process Engineer - OSBL ( Outside Battery Limits ) with extensive experience in petrochemical industry

 

Typical responsibilities

 

Under the Supervision of Process Manager, he / she

will carry out process calculations, simulations, heat and material balances, process flow diagrams and specifications, in agreement with the process standards and the applicable norms

will review and comment documents from licensors and vendors to select the best technology providers and equipment suppliers

will interact with the other engineering disciplines as necessary to prepare the process deliverables

will contribute as requested, capitalizing on experience, to the development / preparation of standardized tools and procedures,

will coordinate process team

Skills / Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineer

Minimum 7 years of experience mainly in petrochemical OSBL works

Fluent in English

Client focus and attitude to teamwork

Excellent technical background in the same role

Availability to accept responsibilities

Flexibility to cope with project and Company needs

Knowledge of process simulators (e.g. Hysys, PRO II, Flarenet)

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Contracts Engineer with extensive experience in the oil industry. Successful candidate must perform below duties

Select and prepare the adequate tendering and contracting strategy that ensures the best value for ADNOC expenditure following the best practice and innovative ideas

Prepares contractual and commercial aspects of any procurement, support works and service tenders required by projects, in consultation with Project Managers

Prepares and compiles Tender / agreement (purchase Order / contract) documentation, with Project Team, legal and finance groups to ensure viability, legality, interpretation and ease of administration

Provides expertise for Tenderer’s prequalification and processes bid list, including any pre-qualification exercises and evaluations required and obtains relevant management / tender board approvals

Participates in the technical and un-priced commercial evaluation of tenders and then leads the subsequent priced commercial evaluation of technically acceptable offers that includes professional adjustment factors depending on the nature of the job and tender Prepares a comprehensive techno-commercial evaluation report and recommendations

Processes award recommendations, ensure necessary approvals and finalize with successful bidder and the contract documentation

Validates the development and implementation of all contractor procedures for conformity with the Contract Checks conformity of all documentation called for, including guarantees, performance bonds, insurance and the like with agreed formats and processes as required

Assists in evaluating contractor’s request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractor’s procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality

Administers contractors’ request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractors’ procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality

Administers contractors’ reimbursement and valuation submissions, and coordinates with the Finance Division as required

Reviews, advises and negotiates as part of constituted team, revised terms, variation order requests, change orders, claims in liaison with responsible management

Assists project controls group in obtaining and assessing cost and progress data performance Provides relevant data and assist to the Contract Administration System and provides facilities for performance analysis of the historical tender / contract matters

Coordinates the final ‘close-out’ of completed purchase order / contract by ensuring proper resolution of all outstanding issues Provides input and reviews the commercial aspect of ‘Performance Reports on Contractors’

Skills / Qualifications

BSc in Engineering or relevant

Additional qualifications in multi-disciplinary engineering areas, RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) full membership, CIPS (Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent certifications would be an added advantage

Overall 15 years of experience in contract management and administration with minimum 5 years in similar role with experience in tendering and contracting business for core projects / jobs in the Oil & Gas industry (preferably Onshore)

In depth Knowledge / Experience in dealing with high Value and Complex mixed compensation (unit rate, re-measurable, lump sum, prov sum, etc) Tenders of design & EPC contract related to buildings, utilities and offshore production facilities, Familiarity with FIDIC Standards Experience with contract termination
