 Role Context & Overview:

As the Regional Strategy Director at Mindshare, you will play an integral role in driving growth for our clients while keeping up with the rapidly changing landscape of digitization. You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and direction to clients, as well as identifying and executing opportunities to expand our services. In this role, you will be working with a team of experts in different fields to provide comprehensive solutions to our clients.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic guidance and direction to clients to achieve their business goals.

Develop and implement a transformation agenda and strategic vision for our clients’ businesses.

Oversee the execution of our strategic plans for clients, working closely with our regional and operational teams.

Build a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and the industry sectors they operate in.

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and advise clients on key market trends and opportunities.

Identify opportunities to expand our services and increase revenue through services upselling

Liaise with local and global teams to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery.

Ensure the quality of our strategic deliverables to clients, in conjunction with the assigned client and specialists teams.

Collaborate with the client team leads responsible for delivering strategic plans to clients and developing a high-performing team.

Act as a change agent, promoting innovation and driving transformation across the business

Collaborate with other WPP companies and agency partners to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.

 Key measures of success:

Drive organic growth increase by defining and delivering a transformational scope of work, product, and services for clients.

Secure new business growth from other clients, outside of the existing client base, with a 25% conversion rate.

Deepen our relationship with clients and achieve consistently high client evaluation scores, measured through an increase in TRR (or similar metrics).

Produce award-winning work across the account with annual submission to regional and global award festivals including Dubai Lynx, MENA & Global Effies, Festival of Media, & Cannes.

Job Description

Job Summary. 

Looking for a Plant Manager with a degree in industrial engineering or equivalent from a recognized university. MBA or equivalent preferred. Proven experience managing a manufacturing production line.  

Product Line(s): Coating and Custom

Work Location: United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi

Reports To: Reginal Manager Coating Operations 

General Responsibilities:

Responsible for logistics, operational, safety and quality functions at the plant

Run the Coating plant within the agenda of an annual strategy, defined SOPs, HSEMS, QMS and Company guidelines and policies.

Ensure that business directions, policies, and strategy are understood and applied by all associates.

Develop the weekly production schedule. 

Check and follow up work orders to ensure the correct information has been listed, documented and processed.

Ensure the billing procedure has been completed properly.

Make decisions on purchasing items and manage budgets.

Plan, supervise and manage all assigned work unit activities through subordinates to ensure a cohesive unit.

Develop and implement continuous improvement tactics to reduce costs and assure quality.

Frequent checks to ensure the maintenance program is maintained per written instructions. 

Monitor and report progress on monthly basis. 

Work in tandem with another department 

Asses, maintain and improve Company resources.

Present the company and handle third party requirements when required and as per Company guidelines

Education / Work Experience:

7-10 years of experience 

University Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or equivalent education from a recognized university

MBA or business related courses preferred 

Proven work experience in an industrial environment or equivalent education 

Certificates in process improvement methodologies is a plus (e.g. lean/six sigma etc…) 

Familiarity with ERP systems and digital tools  is a plus

Excellent command in English Oral and Written, Arabic is a plus 

Able and Interested to Read and learn the Tuboscope coating application process. 

Strong analytical skills and passion for numbers 

Politically savvy 

Ability to use Excel for reporting and analysis.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

A Snapshot of your day:

You will be part of the GT GS ME business controlling team acting as a business partner responsible for providing financial transparency for a sub-region to the management to make an informed decision and contribute to the financial success of the organization. You will be part of a dynamic, exciting work environment and in a position that entails significant responsibility where you will collaborate across different businesses, support function and regions and manage multiple stakeholders. You will work in a team that is responsible for forecasting, budgeting, cost center controlling, foreign currency management, management reporting, process improvements incl. digitalization initiatives, compliance of accounting and ICFR topics and driving learning and development initiatives with an overall goal to upskill the commercial organization. You would be responsible for such tasks for one of the sub-regions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Bottom-up planning and reporting of monthly forecast as well as driving the annual budget process. Contribute to and drive forecast quality with assigned responsible Head of Finance

Trend/deviation analysis and explanations of all the KPIs w.r.t budget and monthly forecast incl. highlighting pro-actively deviations from committed financial KPIs to stakeholders to drive actions

Acting as a consultant using scenario based or solution driven analytics to identify and initiate necessary actions incl. transparency

Cost centre controlling: coordinate and execute tasks for the respective cost centres incl. planning and budgeting

Month End Closing activities (e.g., posting and reviewing various JVs, accruals, income statement and balance sheet reviews etc.) for the assigned country ensuring books and records are clean and auditable

ICFR controls: monthly controls designed to provide reasonable assurance that the company’s financial statements are reliable and prepared in accordance with IFRS. This involves extracting monthly reports and assuring comments from different parts of the unit.

Assure compliance with controlling and accounting procedures incl. consultation and coordination with experts in complex accounting and tax matters

Calculation of hourly rates including cost adders for services incl. SLA preparations with other countries/HQ functions

Supporting the assigned responsible Head of Finance with:

monitoring and commenting on guarantees

monitoring and commenting on receivable

internal and external audits

Ad-Hoc analyses as well as presentations

Supporting the project execution organization with foreign currency management including hedging and associated controlling activities

What You Bring

Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA etc.)

8 – 10 years of experience in finance or controlling, especially closing and forecasting activities, understanding of financial processes and related systems as well as analytical skills

Previous experience in a Big 4 and/or of a turnkey/EPC solution business is an asset

An analytical mindset, capable of analyzing complex data, identifying patterns, and deriving insights to support decision-making and project control

Attention to quality, committed to delivering high-quality results, ensuring accuracy and precision in all controlling-related tasks

Continuous learning, motivated by personal growth, seeking opportunities to enhance knowledge and develop new skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively

Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information, collaborating with team members, and building relationships with stakeholders

Proactive attitude, takes initiative, anticipates challenges, and proposes solutions to optimize business performance.

Team collaboration, finds fulfillment in working with diverse teams, building relationships, and achieving collective goals

Advanced Knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Power Point), SAP

Basic digital skills, ability to work with data visualization or business intelligence tools and interest to expand these skills
