International Field Service Engineer – Dubai, UAE
Role location – Dubai, UAE
Our field service engineers are instrumental in providing first class customer experience when repairing and maintaining our products on customer sites.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in Dubai. In this role you will perform direct service activities on Hologic products and support our partner distributors in the field and will also support the Field Service team providing advice remotely.
We're looking for people who have engineering experience (electrical/mechanical) preferably from within a medical device background, who are happy to be in the field travelling within entire Middle East region to support our customers and who love troubleshooting and finding solutions. International travel might be occasionally required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide emergency service and repairs on request using troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems. With appropriate training this will include complex laboratory diagnostic equipment. Work closely with other Hologic technical groups within EMEA or US to reach resolution
Identify Field Service needs and product knowledge gaps developing on-the-job trainings to dealers FSEs on all aspects of instrument repairs, customer satisfaction, advanced troubleshooting, and installations
Install instruments at customer sites
Plan and complete Preventative Maintenance on time
Support marketing activities such as exhibitions
Provide instrument and sample preparation training to customers
Assist and disseminate Technical Service Bulletins, Service Notes, Customer Technical Bulletins, Service manuals, RCO, service spare parts documentation, installation and repair documentation to dealers liaising with the European Service organization
Plan laboratory design for new instrument installations liaising with customer IT departments and assisting with information systems installations and troubleshooting
Work closely with the Technical Field Support group with new product introductions
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Experience working in similar/comparable customer-based or laboratory environment
Effective Time Management Skills
Ability to accurately diagnose issues as described over the phone by Field Service Engineers/customers
Proficient use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic knowledge of network and interfacing with the ability to progress though training
