About the Role
We are looking for a highly professional and experienced engineering manager who can work in a fast-paced environment to support and grow a high-performing cross functional team.
What You’ll be Doing
Manage, mentor and coach a team of engineers, aligning business priorities with their skills, career development areas and working styles.
Champion excellence in your team’s domain, creating an environment of ownership where the cross functional team works together and owns its product and tech area end to end. Leverage Agile methodologies, set a high bar and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Help set technical direction, review, and influence on-going design, architecture, and standards.
Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Get full knowledge about the business domain and work closely with Product and business stakeholders to build the vision, goals and opportunities to ensure we're building the best products. Ensure that vision and goals are cascaded to the team in a way that the team fully understands and owns the vision and goals.
What You will need for this position
6+ years hands-on experience designing and building scalable and complex applications
2+ years management experience with proven leadership skills in people management/growth and stakeholder management
Experience in building and scaling cross functional teams
Experience in aligning with other teams on defining scope, domain boundaries and dependencies
Full-stack programming experience which may include React, React Native, NodeJS, Java, C#, GoLang, Python and/or C++
Experience in recruiting and managing technical teams of engineers at different levels and areas of expertise
Hands-on experience working with cloud technologies, preferably with AWS
Deep and practical knowledge about monitoring & observability and setting system and business level SLIs and SLOs
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent practical experience
