Engine Overhaul Engineer III - Test Cell - EEMC, Emirates Group, Dubai, UAE

Job Purpose

To supervise and mentor Senior Technicians, Technicians and Mechanics to carry out Assembly, Disassembly, Cleaning, Inspection, Repairs, refurbishment, modifications, testing and rectification on all types of aircraft engines, engine systems, engine components to a high standard at the EEMC, to hold approval to certify own tasks as well as those directly under the job holders supervision, to certify and release to service work carried out in accordance with Airworthiness requirements and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendation.

Job Outline:

- Supervises the activities and work of direct reports by providing mentoring and guidance to ensure that work with is carried out efficiently in line with the individual's targets, assist with providing feedback to direct reports when targets or goals are not being achieved and work with the individual to improve performance.

- Complete own and supervised tasks accurately by utilising knowledge of the engine overhaul process, company procedures as well as the use of the ESM, IPC, CMM, SB's and AD's ensuring paperwork and MRO ERP (IFS) system tasks are completed progressively and in accordance with company procedures.

- Apply knowledge of tooling and equipment and facility to carry out the tasks in a safe manner to the highest of quality standards. Supervise direct reports to ensure compliance to safety and quality procedures.

- Participate and promote a safe working environment in alignment with EEMC Safety policy. Ensure reporting any non-conformance in safety and quality immediately via company procedures.

- Act to mitigate any observed unsafe condition and prevent any incident, ensure all situations are reported via company procedures and highlighted to Line manager or Operations Manager.

- Ensure own attendance and direct reports are in alignment with sectional shift pattern, actively participate in all meetings, projects and use skills and knowledge to contribute to improvements to process, increased efficiency or better practice.

- Assist direct reports with development of competencies, mentor technicians and mechanics and identify areas of improvement to achieve the desired skill level.

- Provide assistance and guidance to Technicians with application for approvals focusing on regulatory and compliance guidelines.

- Staff annual business contribution evaluation (MyBC) to effectively set the staff's goals and competencies through conducting quarterly and annual performance reviews.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications:

- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Degree in Engineering in Aeronautical subjects, Mechanical, Maintenance, Avionics, Electronics Tech Engineering OR Valid Maintenance Engineering Licence OR apprenticeship (at least 2 to 3 years) and Holder of Engine shop authorisations comparable to an existing EEMC Engine Overhaul Engineer III.

- Workshops Only: Must hold the relevant workshop approval/authorisation.

- Work experience: 7+ years in aviation maintenance environment as an Aircraft/Engine Technician with a reputable airline or MRO company.

Knowledge/skills:

- Ability to delegate tasks and lead a team to ensure all work carried out and the progress is aligned to production plan Competent and experienced with reviewing/Understanding/Actioning Airworthiness Directives (AD's) Service Bulletins (SB) Engine Assembly & Disassembly.

- Experienced and competent in arrival/ Incoming inspections and health checks inclusive of Borescope inspections, removal and installation of components, external ducts and plumbing, engine mounts and major modules, ability to use measuring equipment and carry out any calculations to confirm serviceability, additionally competent in visual inspection.

- Complete duplicate inspections or critical task inspections as required.

- Ability to delegate tasks and lead a team to ensure all work carried out and the progress is aligned to production plan.

- Competent and experienced with reviewing/Understanding/Actioning Airworthiness Directives (AD's) Service Bulletins (SB) Module Assembly & Disassembly.

- Experienced and competent in module and sub module disassembly and assembly, inclusive of balancing, stack prediction and ability to use measuring equipment and carry out any calculations to confirm serviceability, additionally competent in visual inspection.

QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIEINCE REQUIRED

·         Knowledge:

-          Basic knowledge of lubricants blending process.

-          Good knowledge of Warehouse management, mass balance / transaction process in SAP (PP & SD module).

-          Working knowledge on 5S & visual Techniques and Statistical data analysis.

-          Reasonable knowledge on HSEQ management systems : ISO 9001 ,ISO 14001, ISO 45001 &  ISO 50001.

·         Skills:

-          Perform as a Team Player

-          Computer Literacy - MS Office, Outlook and SAP

-          Good communication Skills and reasonably well-spoken in English Language.

-          Interpersonal Skills.

·         Experience:

-          3-5 years of experience in similar position in an ERP background , working experience in SAP is preferred  in lubricants production / logistics with an aptitude to adapt to the computerized stock transactions requirement.

·         Education:

-          Graduate in any discipline.

JOB ACTIVITIES

·         Day to day entries in SAP on the receipts of packaging materials, additives & non blendables etc.,

·         Day to day timely entries in SAP for the production orders & bulk dispatches ensuring accuracy and control.

·         Day to day timely Purchase requisition through ARIBA /OPTIMA.

·         Liaison with TEMMEZE / logistics in relation to any issues affecting entries in SAP.

·         Be responsible for agreed time performances in relation to timely entries in SAP.

·         Assist Line manager in the reconciliation of materials during inventory checks and tally.

·         Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between physical inventory and SAP records and support to line manager on remedial actions.  

·         Stand in for Logistics Executive and be in control of the logistics processes.

·         Responsible for Monthly reports like – Blending FEE report , stock dash board update and analysis report on variation in packaging items.

·         Receipt and Inspection of packaging as per QHSE guidelines.

·         Monitor stock of consumable items and co-ordinate with line manager and other functions for replenishment.

·         Schedules work for special and periodic inventories of packaging items with Production team. Ensure physical counting efficiency and accuracy, analysis deviations and take action as team to reduce the loss amount.

·         Team work with other department to improve pallet management, material receiving, material issuing and support finished goods transferring from filling to warehouse. 

·         Monitor warehouse activities to ensure that Packaging items are stored correctly and safely, and storage space is used efficiently.

·         Co-ordinate with purchasing, planning and logistics to ensure timely raw material receiving in SAP following standard process.

·         Implementation of Continuous improvement Plan and adopt to new digital solution.

·         Day to day handling reports on Digital tool like Leancure,LUBCEL, EMS , LUBCAT etc..

QHSE Objectives & Assignments :

·         To understand and adherence to the current regulatory requirements applicable to the areas of responsibilities.

·         To comply with TEMME Safe Work Permit program (as per the PTW roles and responsibility assignment: process owner/ permit applicant/ issuing authority and approval authority).

·         Reporting of near misses, incidents, hazards & injuries to line Manager within the time frame as required by Quality, HSE & Energy Policies and Manuals.

·         Participate in the training program to acquire QHSE knowledge and impart this training to colleagues as and when required by Management.

·         Strict adherence and compliance towards Group HSE Charter & MAESTRO requirement and affiliate’s HSEQ Policy, Procedures & specific rules & regulations applicable to the area of activity at all time.

·         To contribute, meet and improve upon the KPI & EnPI targets as set towards overall QHSE and Energy objectives.

·         Selection and availability of applicable PPE's at all time and ensuring the strict use of PPE's in work area of responsibility.

·         Participate in the investigation and analysis of incidents as and when required.

·         Participate in the safety risk assessment, health risk assessment, planed general inspections, loss control tours and other kind of audits as per the TELBU QHSE requirements.

·         Control of quality and safety in operations ,as he is the first in line and exposure to QHSE can be high due to unsafe acts on quality / safety concerned.

·         Demonstrates exemplary conduct, rigor, vigilance and professionalism regarding HSE in all their activities.

Job Related Objectives & Assignments :

·         Improvements to the system / processes as agreed by the annual appraisal system - objectives

·         Participate in 5S & Visual management Improvement program.

·         Assist your Line Manager in achieving Overall Mass balance and stock control management systems in accordance with organization plans and compliance.

·         Participate or lead Improvement projects ( DMAIC) carried out in work area.

JOB TITLE: Executive II - Business Development

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work as part of the prequalification team to assist with the co-ordination and participation in activities carried out by the business development department. This includes but is not limited to the preparation of the pre-qualifications, presentations, marketing support, as well as interfacing with clients, partners and other divisions of Petrofac as required.

Entry Level:

• Developing knowledge about the business lines in Petrofac, as well as different departments and teams.

• Utilizing knowledge gained to work on responses to expressions of interest, prequalifications, etc, for prospects in line with business capabilities and strategies; under the supervision and support of more experienced team members.

• Assist in developing sales presentations and coordinating sales meetings; under the supervision and support of more experienced team members.

• Support in maintaining quality and technical integrity of prequalifications, presentations and marketing documents.

• Assist with maintaining and updating sales prospects on CRM as required.

• Assist with maintaining and updating the sales database. 

• Assist in conducting Proposals co-ordination for specific prospects. This involves working closely with proposals staff under the direction of more experienced team members.

• Participate in related exhibitions/conferences.

• Coordination with branch offices as required.

• Support as required with the group’s marketing and corporate social responsibility activities.

Elevated Level:

• Utilizing knowledge gained to work on responses to expressions of interest, prequalifications, etc, for prospects in line with business capabilities and strategies; with minimum direction and supervision.

• Developing sales presentations and coordinating sales meetings in line with business needs.

• Responsible for maintaining quality and technical integrity of prequalifications, presentations and marketing documents; as well as meeting deadlines of submissions to external and internal clients.

• Assist with maintaining and updating sales prospects on CRM as required.

• Assist with maintaining and updating the sales database. 

• Assist in conducting Proposals co-ordination for specific prospects. This involves working closely with proposals staff under the direction of the designated sales lead or proposal manager.

• Support general sales and marketing coordination as directed by prequalification manager.

• Carry out market research from internet and other sources as required to develop country and prospect specific market intelligence.

• Where required, provide input to Tender Screening Forms and ensure compliance with the business development and proposals process

• Participate in related exhibitions/conferences.

• Coordination with branch offices as required.

• Support as required with the group’s marketing and corporate social responsibility activities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Relevant degree and 2-3 years’ experience for entry level position with general exposure to the business in home office and/or site. 

Language skills and specific technical or country experience is an advantage.
