JOB DESCRIPTION

The intended position is a senior role within the Retail Strategy and Business Performance team. The incumbent will assist the head of the unit in advising the Group Head – Retail Strategy and Business Performance on strategic group issues and providing top level strategic direction and support to the different business and support units in Retail. Additionally, the position will act as a thought partner on key issues of strategic relevance for senior leadership within Retail Strategy and Business Performance and assist with identifying, developing and evaluating new opportunities and options in alignment with business objectives.

 

Main Tasks

Collect relevant strategy information (business initiatives, internal data) across the division, identify and analyze growth opportunities, align with overall bank strategy and plans

Conduct in-depth research on Retail Strategy and Business Performance banking trends Detailed assessment of competition performance. Carry out peer benchmarking

Detailed assessment of Emirates NBD performance

Hold strategy workshops to understand key business plans and requirements

Develop medium and way forward strategy covering financial, people, customer and processes

Align objectives and strategy within and outside Retail Strategy and Business Performance, track and enable achievement

CEO Reviews, Retail Strategy and Business Performance LT meetings, support for other meetings

Analyze strengths and weaknesses for the BU/SUs, develop actions to improve performance jointly with the leadership team, track initiatives implementation

Carry out regular monitoring of annual plan achievements and implementation

Align unit wise plans with overall Retail Strategy and Business Performance plans

Analyze markets to identify business opportunities and generate new ideas, help define project design.

Support new business ventures in the start-up phase jointly with business

Support development and implementation of selected strategic projects and assignments

Support with talent pool development projects. Internships.

Carry out economic research and competitor analyses.

Identify regional and international business practices

Network benchmarking support

Collate up to date economic trends, market analyses, macro-economic data to support plan building

Support sourcing of market research to derive customer and market insights.

Cooperation with external consultants

Benchmark performance against the market. Track revenue pools and market shares

Thought leadership articles and notes, press releases

Investor relations support

Leverage industry organizations, conferences, research

Award submissions

Facilitate development of strategic plans for the bank and the Group.

Help in development and implementation of bank wide strategic projects.

Offsites and townhalls

Assist with coordination of centralized initiatives across the group such as recognition programs, workshops

Represent the division in bank wide committees

 

Description of Knowledge / Skill etc.

Master in Business Administration

Degree from top-ranked universities (preferred majors are finance, accounting, economics, marketing, business administration)

2 years in strategy consulting in the financial services industry or 5-7 years in banking / strategy and business building experience (if strategy and business building experience in other sectors at least 2 years of banking experience)

Specific experience in Retail Banking & Wealth Management. Prior experience in UAE a plus

Strong business judgment and superior problem solving abilities, particularly in strategic business and financial analysis

Strong numerate, data analysis and data interpretation skills. Excellent verbal and oral communication skills

Ability to think strategically for the organization

Strong interpersonal and team working skills and an ability to work effectively at all Able to build relationships and network effectively and gain broad respect throughout Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

Expro Group are currently recruiting for a Vendore Management Lead to join the Supply Chain team based in Dubai, UAE. 

 

Overall, Purpose of the Job:

To provide senior vendor control management in support of Group Supply Chain business improvement initiatives and critical / tactical purchase requests made by the business specifically through the cultivation, growth, and sustainability of key partnership/strategic relationships. Operate in close liaison with the Global Supply Chain Manager and the respective Regional Supply Chain Managers, as well as internal customers, ensuring that due diligence and optimal risk mitigation is achieved throughout all supply chain activities.

 

Key Activities and Accountabilities:

Provide general ad-hoc support and advice on commercial and contractual matters for the designated vendor group, including but not limited to vendor & contract disputes and warranty claims.  Balance disruptive sourcing efforts from the Strategic Sourcing team through the extraction of strategic impact from identified key vendor population. 

Ensure commercial activities are completed to the highest professional and integrity standards and in accordance with Expro’s contracting procedures/processes and controls, whilst ensuring all decisions/commitments are recorded in an auditable manner.

Provide management with reports and analysis relating to vendor management activities as required.

Develop vendor relationship management strategy for the designated vendor group, monitor performance, develop relationships with key contacts (internally and externally) and hold regular feedback meetings with these stakeholders. Manage relationships developed in a senior level engagement with wide visibility to our stakeholders.

Manage and co-ordinate the development and placement of contracts/purchasing agreements for the designated vendor group.

Support the negotiation and/or re-negotiation of new and existing contract rates, terms, rebates etc for the designated vendor group

Implement global supply management principals, standards and procedures aligned to the development of the global supply chain function.

Develop vendor capacity planning models and overlay with Product Line growth plans to identify vendor development opportunities for the designated vendor group.

Develop and maintain vendor management scorecards & risk plans for the designated vendor group as per procedure.

Leading the preparation and execution of quarterly and annual business reviews for the designated vendor group, as required by procedure/vendor management plan.

Liaise with internal and external departments as and when required, to ensure all questions and queries are resolved and liaise with line manager with any concerns

Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expro’s reputation is minimised. Provide leadership in all ethical issues; ensure employees are aware of Expro’s compliance requirements and feel able to report possible violations or conflicts of interest

Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes & systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes.  Act on reported deficiencies and approve deviations from standard procedures as appropriate

Ensure that employees adhere to and comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Provide leadership in HSE; encourage employees to take responsibility and be accountable for their own and others’ safety and provide an environment where they feel authorised to stop any unsafe job.  Ensure that all incidents and non-conformances are reported in line with the appropriate procedures and deadlines; ensure that all incidents are investigated, and corrective actions raised as required; where appropriate, participates in incident investigations

Ensure that employees adhere to and comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

5 years previous experience in similar role within SCM in Oil & Gas industry

Degree in relevant subject or CIPS professional qualification or equivalent preferred

Experience in SAP and Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Project, Power Point and Word) Power BI Skills a plus.

Responsibilities

The Director ensures that work delivered to clients are compliant to the Group and Company compliance policies as well as local regulatory framework.

The Manager maintains the senior operational relationships with clients in his/her portfolio. Have a deep understanding of clients’ ongoing business and the structure’s goals.

Tasks

Train and coach team members working under his/her supervision.

Ensure Maintenance of Fund’s books and records in accordance with the Offering Memorandum and other Constitutive Documents.

Ensure all investor requests (capital accounts, confirmations, etc) are attended for.

In charge of a portfolio as determined by Head of Accounting.

Handle client issues and/or complaints. Escalate high complex ones to Manager or Head of Delivery to handle.

Review and ensure that the work of junior team members delivered on-time to clients. Escalate high complex work to Manager for final review.

Review Regulatory reporting prepared by Associates and Senior Associates.

Review financial statements prepared by FS team prior to sending to clients.

Ensure that new methodologies, standards, new regulations and correct use of software, are applied within the team to better service the client.

Work closely together with the other functions and ensure that all client deadlines and milestones are met as per the plan.

Work together with Manager / Director-Accounting Services to ensure a proper allocation of client/task to the team members.

Ensure that team members follows all internal procedures and policies of the Accounting Team.

Attend other ad-hoc request from clients or allocated by Manager.

Monitoring of budgets, identifying revenue opportunities and monitoring of WIP.

Participate and provide input to the performance review and development plan of team members whom he/she has worked with, trained or coached.

Ensure protections of information assets of IQ-EQ MU and to abide by the ISMS in place at IQ-EQ MU.

Qualifications

Education / professional  qualifications

Degree holder and/or related Professional qualification

Background experience

Minimum 6 years of operational experience in fund accounting services, preferably handling Private Equity funds

Technical

Experience in complex accounting

Sound Knowledge of IndAS, IFRS, US GAAP, Preparation of Financial Statements applicable laws and regulations

Computer / program knowledge

Good Knowledge of PAXUS and/or Microgen preferably
