Build and Grow new brand

This is a unique opportunity to make an impact in the development of Arla Foods MENA’s new brand in an exciting role where you will be required to use your marketing toolbox to find effective ways to drive brand power, deliver growth ambition, and lead the brand’s innovation pipeline. The position is based in our Dubai regional office and reports to the Head of Marketing, MENA.

 

Passion for driving the full marketing mix

You will be playing a key role in driving and contributing to our high growth agenda in close collaboration with our commercial and innovation teams, key markets, and our license partner. Through daily collaboration with a team of diverse nationalities and skill sets, you will enable the full impact of our capabilities from occasion insight to in-store activation. Further, you will be responsible for ensuring that our current portfolio is relevant, differentiated, and constantly optimized to win in a dynamic market. You will secure strong buy-in, and effective collaboration with all stakeholders, ultimately helping to deliver an ambitious growth target. Lastly, you will drive impactful implementation of our global brand strategies and plans in a selection of our markets by acting as a strong partner to the local commercial teams.

 

Key responsibilities:

Drive go-to-market execution (incl. sparring with local commercial teams and ensuring implementation and execution of global brand strategy and plans)

Drive projects through stage gates in cross-functional teams; from early concept ideas to final execution plans and post-launch evaluations

Rooted in consumer, shopper, and channel insights, translate the product portfolio into compelling trade narratives

Develop and provide support in managing the infrastructure of in-store activations with local markets, enabling delivery on time and in full

Design and implement the optimal portfolio strategy in close collaboration with local teams

Design global guidelines on promotional plans split accordingly to trade channels

Lead the brand's creative development in MENA incl. ATL, BTL & Digital in collaboration with The Barn (inhouse agency) & our agency partners

Follow up on market performance and support in optimizing annual marketing plans in close collaboration with local teams

Support customer teams in the development and execution of customer-specific plans

Lead dissemination of successful practices and scale them across markets

Combining market, shopper, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and execute these through outstanding brand leadership initiatives

Monitoring and analyzing brand performance metrics and use insights to refine brand strategy and messaging

Actively driving and delivering annual business plans together with Regional consumer marketing colleagues

Managing the brand budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently

Partnering with external creative and media agencies to develop and execute brand campaigns and ensure consistent messaging across all channels

Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and sharing insights with the broader marketing team

High drive & structured approach

You are a creative thinker and problem solver with high business acumen and passion for driving brand equity. As a person you are a problem solver, demonstrating a results-oriented approach. You thrive in a matrix organization and easily build commitment and trust with stakeholders. You work independently and have an innate ability to effectively organize, analyze, and present solutions to cross-functional teams, influencing without always having direct authority. You work in a highly structured way and have strong communication and interpersonal skills to optimally use and engage your stakeholder network.

 

 

Seasoned marketeer with a leadership background

You have a degree in Business Administration and Marketing or equivalent.

You have solid experience in the beverage industry and have worked with brand management and development for a minimum of 5-6 years.

You must have a global mindset enabling you to build strong, positive relations with partners across geographical and cultural boundaries. Relying on strong project management skills, you can lead, drive, and create clear direction to motivate others to follow and create results.

 Functionally you have an eye for innovations, Product launches experience, and consumer insights. Your Analytical skills, creative thinking, and solid marketing understanding will further your success in the role. Moreover, you know how to navigate effectively in a matrix organization.

Your English proficiency leaves nothing to be desired and if you can get by in Arabic, it will be a strong advantage.

Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the HR Operations Advisor, META; as Human Resources Administrator, META, you will be responsible for supporting the administrative functions of the Human Resources Department, and for supporting the HR Operations Advisor to deliver a complete generalist HR service to stakeholders within META. These services include (but are not limited to) document drafting, contract administration, policy renewal, flexible working requests, filing, minute taking, responding to general HR queries, diary and travel management and meeting management.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding

Validate New hire approvals / contract request documentation provided by KF Hire / iRPO to ensure complete data has been received, and accurate data has been submitted (both internal SAP assignment data and candidate personal data)

Act as the key point of liaison between the HR Operations Advisor and KF Hire and iRPO on all new hire queries

Draft and issue contracts to new hires

Respond to candidate queries relating to their new hire documentation, escalating such to the HR Operations Advisor, where appropriate

Chase new hire/onboarding documentation not provided by candidates

Creation of employee personnel files and document maintenance

Facilitate new visa applications across META

Support the onboarding induction program run bi-monthly within META

Support with updating monthly HR payroll data for new joiners to the EMEA Payroll Team.

Generalist HR Activities

Act as a HCM & PSCF Initiator for the EMEA region

Responding to requests received into the shared HR mailboxes from external third parties, in a timely manner

Responding to all generalist queries received via the ‘AskHR’ platform, and escalation of queries where relevant to the HR Operations Advisor

Invoice administration relating to HR related activity

Provide administrative support to the new joiner HR Inductions across META

Facilitate visa renewals across META

Support with data capturing and regular data review of all benefits portals for META

Updating Korn Ferry employee data collection trackers

Continuous review of employee personnel files and document maintenance

Support the HR Operations Advisor with document drafting, including but not limited to salary certificates, contract changes, NOCs, and leaver documents

Support the HR Operations Advisor by means of minute taking at formal meetings, including (but not limited to)

Employee Grievance Meetings

Employee Disciplinary Meetings

Performance Management Meetings

Flexible Working Meeting

Payroll

Maintain all relevant ‘payroll trackers’ with variable changes to monthly payroll, as a result of generalist HR activity

Assist the HR Operations Advisor with documentation collection to be shared with the payroll Team, to support any payroll activity in any given month

HRIS & Data Administration

Regularly work with the HRIS team to review and audit data, flag issues and process corrections as needed

Regularly work with payroll and global corporate HRIS team to research issues, look for root causes, escalate concerns and identify solutions

Compliance & Policies

Regularly monitor and audit HR files to maintain compliance with Korn Ferry policies and procedures.

Handle highly confidential information maintaining strict rules of confidentiality at all times

Monitor and manage the auditing of HR related documents on the HR systems.

Talent Management

Support the delivery of any HR Training sessions run across META.

Support the development of ‘issue specific’ training sessions or ‘Knowledge Articles’ as required across META.

Champion of the Company’s values and vision, so as to ensure everyone is working towards the same objectives and behavioural expectations.

 

The Candidate

Experience and Professional Qualifications

Educated to degree level or above

Relevant Human Resources qualification (preferred)

Prior experience in a generalist Human Resources administrative role

Skills and Competencies

About the Role

You will be responsible for facilitating and providing IT support to all administrative and educational staff. You will ensure best practices for the use of systems, applications, the Intranet portal and the Internet.

Your main responsibilities will include installing, configuring, maintaining and administrating hardware, software and infrastructure equipment in all areas of the school such as offices, classrooms and labs.  You will troubleshoot any problems arising from the IT equipment and respond to emergency calls around the school environment. 

You will be responsible for following company procedures for back-ups, security or restoration of all IT equipment and software. You will maintain a record of the licenses, hardware and passwords. You will also collaborate and interact with IT staff within the School Support Centre and in other GEMS schools where appropriate.

 

About You

You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related subject). You will have a minimum of Two years experience in a similar position with hands on experience in maintaining ICT Infrastructure.

You will have experience working with a great variety of hardware such as servers, switches, wireless access points, routers, firewalls, PC/Laptop/tablets, whiteboards, video conferencing, etc.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills.  With meticulous attention to detail, you will enjoy problem solving, will work well under pressure and be able to meet tight deadlines.
