Brunel are on the lookout for a highly skill Process Engineer to work for Compañía Española de Petróleos, S.A.U. (CEPSA), who are one of the leading integrated energy companies in Spain and operate in various segments of Oil & Gas industry including exploration, production, refining and distribution.

Start date: January 2024

Location: EPC Contractor's Office (India or Sharjah, Dubai) before relocation to project site (Hassi Messaoud ,Algeria)

Duration: 12 Months initially (project expected to endure for 4-5 years in total).

Responsibilities:

1. Process Design and Engineering: • Conduct process simulations, design calculations, process optimization, and equipment sizing & selection to ensure efficient and effective process design; • Ensure that all process engineering deliverables align with safety and quality standards, incorporating the results of safety studies to minimize potential risks.

2. Engineering Deliverables: • Review and revise engineering deliverables such as PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), Data sheets, Specifications, and Philosophies to maintain accuracy and compliance.

3. Evaluation Studies: • Propose, plan, and execute evaluation studies to reduce project uncertainties, addressing any process-related challenges proactively.

4. Quality Control: • Develop routines and best practices to maintain high product quality throughout the process engineering phase.

5. Collaboration and Communication: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of process engineering deliverables with other disciplines; • Provide the Operation Readiness Manager with process documents and standard operating procedures to facilitate a smooth transition to the operational phase.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field;• Proven experience in process design and detail engineering within the Oil and Gas industry or similar sectors;• Extensive knowledge of process simulations, calculations, optimization techniques, and equipment selection;• Strong understanding of safety and quality standards, with a focus on implementing best practices;• Previous experience in managing engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, Data sheets, Specifications, and Philosophies;• Ability to lead and supervise teams of engineers and contractors effectively;• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Emerson Automation Solutions is where technology and engineering come together to create solutions for the benefit of our customers, driven without compromise for a world in action. This position is opened by the Flow Controls Business Unit. The Inside Sales Engineer is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and caters to all customers in the Middle East and Africa for KOB1 & 2 projects.

Job Description

Primary purpose of the job is to work in conjunction with the Flow Controls Sales team to achieve sales targets by providing Application Engineering, Sales, and Technical Support to our internal and external customers in MEA (EPCs & End users).

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for handling project execution for identified KOB1&2 projects.

Process RFQs, prepare and manage Fisher quotations on time to customers.

Provide Applications Engineering, Technical and Pricing Support to customers.

Collaborate with Sales team and support customers/End users in MEA.

Follow up with customers on regular basis for status of the quote submitted & purchase order.

Follow up internal team & factory for on-time delivery of the product and services.

Perform Technical, Applications and Fisher solutions presentations to customers.

Work with consultants, customers, and end users to get Fisher products and solutions pre-specified / pre-selected.

Work with customers and end users to update and modify their engineering standards and specifications to gain preference for Fisher.

Prepare and present regular quote reports for the sales team to follow up.

Provide forecasts for RFQs.

To arrange all Fisher technical documentation and literature for customers.

Support in troubleshooting and finding solutions to customers problems and able to support Site Walks.

Support and work with Sales Team to meet the Sales budget for MEA.

Provide support to LBPs / End users for Product modifications & Product capabilities through preparing success stories / identifying industry-wise application QBR’s.

Coordinate with Project Management / Order Entry / Customer Order Fulfillment (COF) team to provide clean orders to Factories. and over of orders with supporting documents and attend kick-off meetings if required.

Provide training to LBP/Rep/Customer engineers on Control Valve Engineering including sizing, selection and pricing using Fisher FIRST 2, product range and how to prepare smart quote - good/better/best strategy and other tools / resources like Fishweb, COF etc.

Work closely with other Emerson Business Units for MAC / MIV project quotes.

Ensure Emerson Ethics and Trade compliance procedures are strictly followed with all business transactions.

Keep up to date with developments in products, industries, and market trends. 

Fulfill any other reasonable duties as required including Outside Sales.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or closely related discipline (Mechanical / Instrumentation / Chemical Engineering)

Minimum 5 Years of experience in Fisher valve products and handling KOB1 &2 Projects

Fluent in English Language - Written and Spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering degree

Experience in handling MEA Customers & EPCs for KOB1 &2 Projects 

Experience in working with FF2 sizing and selection tool (Minimum 3 years on Projects)

Familiar with Quote-to-Cash process and coordination with Project Management / Order Entry / Customer Order Fulfillment (COF) team to provide clean orders to Factories and over of orders with supporting documents and attend kick off meetings if required.

Experience in handling inhouse engineering support to customers 

Skill using Microsoft Office applications is required.

Knowledge on Midstream, Refining and Oil & Gas process and Special control valve applications. 

Excellent interpretation skills relating to engineering details & P&ID drawings.

Ability to make technical decisions based on sound engineering facts & applicable codes.

Role Profile

The London Stock Exchange Primary Markets team is responsible for:

Attracting companies on a global basis to list and trade their equity securities (or certificates) on London Stock Exchange markets

Attracting companies, governments, banks and multilateral development banks to issue their fixed income capital through our markets, and support them through the trade life-cycle

Handling and supporting the community of c.2,000 listed issuers on the LSE.

Building and strengthening relations with key stakeholder groups and influencers that support London’s capital markets, including but not limited to sovereign wealth funds, private equity, venture capital, investment banks, law firms, audit firms and PR advisers

Maintaining and further improving LSE’s markets to ensure we provide companies seeking admission to the London Stock Exchange with an industry leading client experience and journey

Participating and leading various listing regime changes and consultations, new product innovations, connectivity (i.e. dual listing partnerships) & investments that improve our offering to IPO, debt and listed issuers on London’s markets

This full time, either Dubai (preferred) or London-based position will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to play a significant role in attracting companies to London Stock Exchange’s markets, which include Main Market & AIM for equities, and Main Market and the International Securities Market for debt

The role will include specific responsibility for handling a client portfolio of companies, private equity funds, VC funds and capital market advisers

The role will be passionate about attracting issuers from Africa & Middle East to list on the London Stock Exchange and the successful candidate will report into the Head of the region (Africa & Middle East) for Primary Markets (who is based in London)

The person in the role will work closely with colleagues such as the Head of Origination for Fixed Income Markets (based in New York City) and the Manager for MENA for Fixed Income Markets

Key Responsibilities

Build and handle a portfolio of company leads (Main Market & AIM), establishing and maintaining relationships at owner (founder or institutional shareholder as the case may be), executive management and board level, utilising cost and time efficient communication channels

Implement client communication and contact plan to potential IPO candidates and existing issuers, including members of the advisory and investor community

Develop an understanding of the clients, the key contacts and review their economic potential on a regular basis

Maintain relationships with key fixed income issuer targets in region and with key stakeholder groups such as DCM banks, law firms, governments and trade associations

Focus on business development activities through the development and participation at a range of events. Represent LSEG by speaking at seminars, conferences and other client forums in order to promote LSEG and develop new client relationships

Develop a strategic understanding of clients’ business/sector and their requirements. Ensure this is feedback to in-house product and service teams on a timely basis

Build constructive and proactive collaborations client facing Exchange departments in order to improve interdepartmental partnership:

o Integrate business development plans with colleagues in fixed income and funds primary markets teams

o Work closely with our Issuer Services, Data & Analytics, Government relations and Regulatory Strategy colleagues with the objective of positioning London’s capital markets within the issuer and broader market eco-system

Work effectively with other internal staff on key Exchange projects to develop the business

Give to the definition of Capital Markets’ marketing strategy and help to define targeted marketing & digital campaigns to achieve specific objectives across Africa & Middle East

Prioritises business development and marketing activities according to business and operational need and work with marketing team to coordinate and deliver specific marketing campaigns across Africa & Middle East

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

Will have experience in and proven relationships at corporate and founder / institutional shareholder level across the region, with a preference for evidence of such relationships in Africa & the Middle East

Ideally, will have experience in equity capital markets and a good understanding of LSEG’s core markets and business areas with a Professional Qualification preferred. Some experience with other asset classes such as bonds would be effective

Demonstrating a passion for capital markets and for working in a market infrastructure business environment

Proven success in a relationship management or business development role or able to provide evidence of the ability to do so

Able to establish trust with senior executives across a wide range of corporates/advisors in both formal and informal environments

Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of client business both from a commercial and strategic perspective

Experienced public speaker able to present to small and large groups of company directors, advisors and investors

Willing to travel extensively across the Africa & Middle East region on a regular basis (albeit current travel restrictions and protocols are leading to the majority of our overseas interactions occurring on a digital basis)
