Nursery Manager
Bloom World Academy, located in the centre of Dubai in a state-of-the-art new building/campus, is seeking to appoint a Nursery Manager for our brand new bespoke nursery to start immediately. This role has a teaching component to it as well.

Our Story
Bloom World Academy was launched in August 2022 and educates children from 18 months to 18 years. The school has been hugely successful, so far, in challenging convention and doing things differently in Dubai for the benefit of learners, families and teachers.

After a very successful first year of operation, we are looking to expand our offering next academic year to a small nursery that will sit a part of our Primo (early years) section. We are initially opening two groups in our nursery and are now looking for staff for this.

BWA is a school which puts family-life first – we encourage parents to be in school, even work from school in our community cafΓ©, attend regular workshops and to join our weekly, celebratory community forum. The expansion to a nursery as a part of this school is an expansion of our family first offering to our community. Priority placement in our nursery would be offered to our current families.

Every aspect of learning and teaching at Bloom World Academy has been considered - how we do it, why we do it and the impact it is having. This has directly led to many firsts for the UAE. BWA is the first school in UAE to start at 9am; the first school where each student and their family can choose their own timetable (learning pathways), and a school where each student has a Learning Achievement Passport (LAP) – where the performance and progress is shared with the student and family several times a year.

Our approach has been successful, we are exceeding all expectations, and therefore wish and need to appoint a notable number of creative and dedicated teachers, expert practitioners – who really want to apply their skills in a forward-thinking, creative school where the craft of teaching is highly valued.

Nursery Manager - the Position
Bloom World Academy is seeking a creative, expert and experienced practitioner for the role of Nursery Manager. Applicants should have a strong understanding of EYFS, the curiosity/Montessori approach and experience as a Nursery Manager with strong staff management skills. 

As a qualified and experienced Nursery Manager, you would oversee the day-to-day operations, staffing and organisation to ensure the smooth running of the Nursery. You are responsible for leading and managing staff in creating and delivering a clear vision. 

You must display a clear commitment to developing each child holistically. Our Nursery uses a curiosity-inspired approach and a firm focus on the EYFS prime areas. While we focus on academic achievement for every child, we also focus on the social, emotional, and physical development of all our students to ensure a successful start to more formal schooling once our youngest students transition from Nursery to Pre-KG.

You will work closely with the school leadership team and contribute to strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, and development of the Nursery. You should have knowledge and expertise in planning rich, engaging, and challenging learning experiences for your students, have a strong understanding of assessment and its use in the classroom, and most importantly have a passion for stretching students to achieve their potential and beyond.

Required Candidate Profile
Advanced/proficient-level English language skills
Bachelor’s degree in English or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent
A minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a reputable school
A track record of outstanding student results
Experience in teaching the International Baccalaureate is strongly preferred (professional training is provided)
Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment and integrity
Inter-cultural awareness, well-developed communication skills and excited to engage with students and parents

The International Renewable Energy Agency is an inter-governmental organisation headquartered in Abu Dhabi, mandated to promote the widespread and increased adoption and sustainable use of all forms of renewable energy in the pursuit of sustainable development, energy access, energy security and low-carbon economic growth and prosperity. IRENA’s mission is to play a leading role in the ongoing transformation of the global energy systems as a centre of excellence for knowledge and innovation, a global voice of renewable energy, a network hub for all stakeholders and a source of advice and support for countries.  At present, IRENA has 169 Members (168 States and the European Union) that acceded to its Statute.

 

The Division of Administration and Management Services is responsible for providing the Secretariat with an efficient support in managing its human and financial resource and ensures effective and timely delivery of information technology, procurement and logistical services. 

 

Under the guidance of the Director-General, the Director of Administration and Management Services:

 

Coordinates the delivery of support services by guiding, monitoring and overseeing performances in the areas of finance, budget, human resources, procurement, travel, facilities maintenance,general administrative services and ICT support services;
Acts as principal adviser to the Director-General on all matters pertaining to support services and on established policies and procedures covering all aspects of financial, budgetary and human resources thus ensuring transparent and consistent implementation throughout the secretariat;
Assists the Director-General in the coordination of the compilation of proposals and reports to the Assembly and Member States on financial, budgetary and administrative matters; 
Represents the Director-General, within delegated authority, in negotiations and consultations on a full range of administrative and support matters with representatives of Member States and the Government of the host country;
Develops, reviews and recommends new policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure   integration and efficient contribution of administrative efforts into the Agency’s core mandate; 
Establishes guidelines, procedures, processes and tools that are consistent with IRENA’s policy and practice in order to ensure proper budget, accounting, financial and human resources management and controls;
Deals with internal and external audits, plans and manages the implementation of relevant recommendations and reports on the status of the implementation;
Directs the staff of the Administration and Management Services Division by developing work plans, appraising performances, training and empowering them; 
Ensures development, preparation, coordination and monitoring of overall work plans, strategies and programs for the Division and takes the lead in securing the required human and financial resources; 
Provides guidance, supervision and mentoring to all administrative support and other staff in the areas of his/her responsibility;
Liaises with other international organizations and agencies to maintain cooperation and incorporate best practices in the development of IRENA’s administrative policies;
Performs related duties as may be required by the Director-General.

Qualifications

 

Education: Advanced university degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, law or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience: A minimum of fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in administration, budget, logistics, information technology, communication or related field. 

Language: Excellent command of written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other languages is desirable.

The position is based in Dubai, UAE and will be responsible for working with the business and the HR Director to provide strategic and operational human resources support for the Acino UAE Plant.  The role will also be required to participate actively in specific initiatives as required by the HR Director both within and outside his/her own markets.

Your Responsibilities will be:

Support implementation of the business and growth strategies for UAE Plant
Implement Human Resources Plans in consultation with the HR Director and relevant business partners.
Understand and identify business and operational needs working closely with the line management.
Build strong working relationships to be able to identify and understand both line manager and employee needs.
Manage, develop, and enhance the day-to-day Human Resources operations and related resources within the area of responsibility.
In consultation with HR Director advise and support line management with organizational planning and changes, support change management processes and advice regarding employee relations needs.
Lead the workforce planning, staffing and recruitment process and recommend initiatives for the improvement and further development of these key processes in accordance with labour law and current multinational best practices.
Develop, implement, and maintain Human Resources Policies and procedures, where applicable aligned to local market practice and Acino regional policy principles.
Manage all onboarding and termination processes, personnel files and related administration and employee cases according to Acino policies and local laws.
Provide consistent and timely communication about Human Resources processes and broader business issues to employees and managers.
Ensure high data integrity in the Human resources database for the relevant employee population.
Act as a backup for HR colleagues in META and participate actively in META wide initiatives when required.
Your Profile:

Bachelor Degree in relevant field with a minimum 5-7 years hands on experience in HR roles in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate strong business acumen and a solid understanding of HR functions.
Acts in line with Acino values and behaviors (Execution, Accountability, Multiplier, Growth Mindset, Explicit).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a passion for accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of people from different functions and at different levels within the company.
Skilled at managing complex projects and processes and can influence and inspire others without authority.
Willingly accept challenging assignments and opportunities that stretch and build capabilities.
Operates from a deep understanding of business and strategies.
Experience in Pharma Industry is an asset.  Fluent written and spoken English.
