Senior Graphic Designer - Arabic, Home Box Concept, Dubai, UAE

POSITION OBJECTIVE

This job holder will be responsible for translating and transferring of ideas / concepts / designs into create visual communications such as adverts, branding, promotional displays and marketing brochures for products and services; developing distinctive logos for products and in-house brands & creating visual designs & packaging and tell a story using video.

Creative Solutions

Understand the creative and business needs

Create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.

Apply advanced and diversified concepts to create the graphic representations on system with combination of different color pallets

Innovate ideas / themes in graphical form for various requirements coming from the marketing team

Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.

Develop graphics and layouts for promotion posters, logos, displays etc

Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed

Create the window display designs for the entire Concept and Stand-alone stores in all the territories

Create graphic artworks such as promo posters, logos and the like for the Concept

Designing proposals and artwork for marketing brochures, leaflets, coupons and flyers

Prepare Art works for Signage’s (outdoor / indoor)

Help maintain online channels

Proven motion graphics and video editing experience

Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite with a strong focus on After Effects

Proficiency in video editing software

Miscellaneous

Research and keep abreast of the latest designs, market trends, developments in IT and needs of the customers

Coordinate and assist in the execution of large format printing including colour and profile management internally and with vendors

Oversee the printing needs for the Concept and stand-alone stores (vinyl poster, backlit poster etc.)

Ensure that the visuals / posters are laminated, mounted and distributed properly for all the territories on schedule (if applicable)

Prepare Photoshop presentations as and when required under the direction of the Marketing Manager

Coordinate with the Visual Merchandisers in executing their requirements of seasonal changes and window themes

Maintain large format printers (if applicable)

Keep abreast of the latest trends, tools and technologies in Graphic Design

Familiarity with best practices for graphics and video content on social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

Job Description

Oversee daily husbandry operations of the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi aquarium population including fish, reptiles, and invertebrates. Manage and develop the Dynamic Habitats colleagues. Oversee the care and maintenance of all guest-facing displays as well as quarantine facilities. Responsible for area resourcing, development, communication and the operation of the animal area in the absence of the assigned Zoological Manager.

The job scope also includes:

Responsible for operations of animal area in absence of Manager

Develop top caliber teams and individuals working in Dynamic Habitats

Maintain and improve the high standards of animal care and welfare at SWAD facilities that meet or exceed all professional zoo/aquarium accreditation standards

Maintain open and continuous lines of communication with the Zoological Director, Zoological Manager, and other Zoological Department leaders

Develop and update as needed resourcing and plan for the Dynamic Habitats (Aquarium) area.

Supervises the entire SeaWorld dynamic habitats collection (fish, reptiles, and invertebrates) in line with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment global zoological goals and initiatives, including all aspects of behavior, health and husbandry, acquisition and disposition, and guest contact and interaction programs

Develop and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for guests, colleagues, and animals

Establishes and maintains a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of colleague performance and guest service while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines.

Encourage and demonstrate professional communication internally and with all departments that interact with the Zoological department

Supervises, trains, and coaches colleagues while ensuring proper training and development in accordance with SEA and Farah Experiences guidelines.

Assists in the evaluation of departmental colleagues including annual performance reviews and development plans.

Perform other duties as assigned

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, related to the Zoological field to include: animal sciences, other natural sciences or education

Must be SCUBA certified

At least 6 years of animal husbandry experience in a zoo, aquarium, or oceanarium

Superior leadership, communication and teamwork skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Familiar with professional zoo/aquarium and animal conservation communities

Able to work varying shifts based on business need. This includes: opening, mid, and closing shifts, nights, weekends and holidays

Must demonstrate a positive and professional open-minded attitude. Must demonstrate a history of staff development thru staff education and supportive feedback.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

You will deliver world class winning pitches and proposals, whilst managing diverse groups of people and turning thoughts and ideas into results.

This role is about helping our expert Partners in the Middle East to win by delivering unforgettable and persuasive pitches and proposals. You will work alongside our Head of Bids, wider Bids Team, BD professionals, the firm's Partners, and an internal team of other specialists.

THE TEAM

The role sits within the Middle East BD & Marketing function based in Dubai and has close working relationships across many areas of the business, particularly the regional partner group.

A Dubai-based Bids Exec will report into this role. It is also expected that the Senior Manager will look to call on other resource from around the business as appropriate, bringing in BD colleagues, and others from around the business, who may be less experienced in bids' work but who have a deeper knowledge of the client/client's sector.

The team is well established and supports on a wide range of proposals from "routine" service line opportunities through to major priority client panel opportunities. There are established best practices, and the team prides itself on its ethic of continual improvement.

In recent years we were recognised by the FT as one of the top 4 most innovative law firms in Europe; Corporate & Commercial Firm of the Year in Qatar and Law Firm of the Year in Oman.

In 2022, we celebrated a decade in the Middle East and earlier this year announced plans to open an office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – our fourth office in the region alongside Dubai, Oman and Qatar. We offer a full-service capability in the Middle East and are on track to grow revenue in the region by at least 60% in the next five years.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE

Working independently but also collaborating with the wider bids and BD team, the Senior Bids Manager will:

Take ownership of bids process (end to end, project management, bid delivery, etc.) and further development and improvement of processes along the Head of Bids.

Challenge on Bid / No Bid decisions, with both quantifiable evidence and knowledge of other decisions for the same / similar clients around the business.

Advise and lead partners and associates through the development of a bid strategy and formulation of a winning proposition.

Find the best ways to deliver and optimise our services and for the firm to achieve its goals alongside the Head of Bids.

Work with the Head of Bids to oversee the quality of the firm's bids outputs. Making sure bids delivered from self-service and other BD routes match or exceed the expected quality standards we have.

Project manage the overall bid process, including:

initial scoping calls

document development and editorial control

developing and challenging key messages/propositions

leading the review stage

Write content about practices, sectors, delivery methodologies, etc. to use in bids and contributing to the firms standard content library.

Develop and challenging pricing propositions in collaboration with the Pricing Team

Liaise with the design function in the production of bids responses

Coach bid teams at the presentation stages of pitches

Work with the wider team to ensure all deal information and other information is captured and shared for future bids

Conduct post bid debriefs both internally and with clients

Collate, share and disseminate best practice and lessons learned

Work with partners and fee earners to drive account growth and facilitate best practice in account/relationship management

Liaise with other members of the bids team to improve the overall quality of bids and efficiency of process

Our systems and processes for storing and sharing data are evolving, and the Senior Manager will be expected to contribute to ideas and creative challenge. This will include taking responsibility for local content in the firms Bid Library, Bid Tracker, and some elements of bids training in the local market.

Excellent writing and editorial skills for pitch content

Flexibility when managing own workload and priorities to take others' time commitments into account

A strong team player – willingness to support other colleagues

Commerciality and acumen around various pricing models engaged by business

Computer literate and can work expertly in Word and PowerPoint and competently in Excel.
