Job Purpose

To assist Sourcing Manager on assigned sourcing projects in a timely and cost effective manner, to deliver best value for money.

Job Requirements

Education/Certification and Continued EducationGraduate (any discipline)

Years of Experience3-5 years’ experience within a procurement function, ideally within a centralized procurement model

Knowledge and Skills

• Develop a detailed technical understanding of the assigned commodity / category of spend

• Build internal relationship with business units to proactively understand and gather sourcing requirements

• Gain a wide market understanding on vendor capabilities, should costs, supply chain, etc..

• Ensure that all purchasing activities are performed in accordance with internal policies and processes

• Deliver within agreed department SLA

• Demonstrate flexibility and agility in working on various simultaneous purchases / projects of various nature

• Experience with ERPs in a must (preferable Oracle or JD Edwards)

• Experience with SAP Ariba sourcing is desired

• Receive internal request for quotations from business units

• Clarify requirements and prepare an external RFI / RFQ to be sent to selected approved vendors

• Obtain quotations from selected vendors and perform evaluation of proposals in collaboration with Business units and under supervision of Sourcing Manager of the assigned category of spend

• Perform negotiation with vendors to deliver the best possible value for money for the organization considering Total Cost of Ownership / Acquisition

• Send internal recommendations to business units with green light to proceed with purchase

• Prepare agreements as and when needed, in collaboration with Group Legal department

• Issue purchase order to selected vendor

• Set up blanket agreements for repeated orders as and when applicable

Title:

Lead Process Safety Engineer

KBR is looking for Lead Process Safety Engineer for an EPCM project to be based in Abu Dhabi- UAE.

 Requirements

Develop Front End Engineering Design of the proposed facilities and modifications to such level that Engineering, Procurement and Construction can be carried out without further modifications and/or the need of any further studies by the EPC Contractor. Complete the FEED by identifying and defining the WORKS for the EPC phase in a modular and timely manner to facilitate Company requirements so as to implement the EPC phase based on an approved EPC execution methodology. KBR shall perform complete Front End Engineering Design (FEED) required for the PROJECT in accordance with specified engineering practices and Company specifications. KBR shall maintain risk and opportunity registers during the study and close all items prior to completion to COMPANY satisfaction.

 Roles & Responsibilities

The Lead Process Safety Engineer is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil gas.

Conversant with Fire Network Design, Radiation and Dispersion Modelling

Consequence Analysis and QRA • Technically competent in Process Safety Engineering Discipline

Conversant with the Engineering standards such as API, NFPA, IP, IEC, ASME, BS / EN, etc.

Provide leadership and coaching to engineers with less work experience

Writing proposal’s scopes of work, execution methodology, technical queries to client

Performing Basic Process Design Activities (Line List, Tie-in List, Basic PFD/PIDs check, Process Description etc.)

Previous experiences executing Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Chemical Feasibility Studies, Conceptual Design/Basic Engineering & FEED / Detailed Engineering

Previous experience managing HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, hazardous area classification, firewater systems, fire and gas detection.

 Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering

Overall, of 15+ years of experience in Oil & gas industry Should have been a Lead for minimum 2+ years in Oil/Gas Project.

Experience in FEED and/or detailed engineering phases is a must.

KBR is looking for  a Process Engineer for an EPCM Project to be based in Abu Dhabi.

Purpose of the Job

To carry out process design activities for various stages of the projects like, Conceptual studies, front-end design and detailed engineering for projects in support of the development of new and existing upstream oil and gas facilities.

Qualifications / Experience Needed

Degree in Chemical Engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.) and/or membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute.

A minimum 10-13 years upstream Oil & Gas, Refineries and Petrochemical experience including a minimum 10 years process engineering experience with engineering consultancies is required. Working experience in use of

process software like HYSYS, PROII, Pipesim, Flarenet etc. is must.

Principal Accountabilities

• To carry-out process simulations and optimization studies for selecte / appriase stage projects and prepare Process Flow Schemes with heat and mass balances, equipment sizing, layout, etc for costing and option selection.

• To perform detailed process engineering work and generate the deliverables like Process Flow Digram, Piping & Instrumentation Diagram, Equipment Datasheets, Study Reports/Manuals, etc. during all design phases including interpretation of international standards.

• To review any process design work carried-out by third parties (vendors), other offices and to participate in HAZOPs, Safety and Facility reviews and audits.

• To actively train and encourage the development of UAE national staff to fulfill process engineering roles.

• To understand the requirements of the office quality system and ensure these requirements are met.

• To collaborate with other disciplines and contribute for meeting project delivery on time with efficient and safe way.
