Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently inviting applications of Senior Civil Structural Designers with experience in oil and gas engineering for our Engineering team in Abu Dhabi

 

Below are some key responsibilities and duties:

 

Responsibilities

3D Software skills like SP3D, PDS / PDMS, is mandatory

Execute design and draughting activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study and Detailed Design)

Prepare sketches, Civil & Structural drawings, and designs from agreed work scopes with minimum input from engineering personnel

Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract

Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance

Carry out site surveys

Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule

Maintain required technical quality of work

Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to discipline work scope

Maintain filing system

Encourage and provide lateral learning within project

Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required

Assist Lead / Senior Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties

Skills / Qualifications

Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum of 10+ years of experience 

Sound knowledge of manual and CAD draughting techniques

Software skills like AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION, etc is mandatory

3D Software skills like SP3D, PDS / PDMS, is mandatory

Having CIVIL 3D Software experience would be an added advantage

Must worked on the Concrete structures, Steel structures, U / G structures & architectural drawings for Low rise buildings are mandatory

Must worked on Grading drawings, Civil Site Layouts, U / G facilities are mandatory

Aware of and able to use codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation as applicable to draughting function

Aware of and able to use COMPANY and CLIENT standards

Able to create base design drawings / models from agreed work scope with minimal guidance

Computer literate (database / spreadsheets)

Ability to accept delegated responsibility for designated tasks

Experience in acting as a focal point / Self checking / checking of others work

The job holder will be responsible & supporting Category Buyer for buying operations through Product Sourcing, vendor identification, evaluation and selection for Decor section in Homeware Department.

 

Vendor and Product Research

Keep abreast of the latest trends in buying and assess realign the existing processes

Support to identify and leverage alternate buying opportunities to source products and to ensure that company maintains its competitive edge by constant renegotiation

 

Vendor Management

Support in developing an adequate vendor base for the company through attending Fair & Exhibitions

Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers and negotiate the best deals with them for procuring merchandise

Maintain contact with vendors; update list of vendors for bidding purposes; attend product demonstrations, obtain samples and literature regarding potential products and vendor capabilities and confer with end users

Identify, evaluate and suggest appropriate vendor mix to achieve business objectives

 

Order Management

Place orders for the new items and initiate repeat orders for the category based on the Buying plan and Planogram. Ensure merchandise is delivered as per the plan based on the agreed service level agreement.

Follow up with Supplier for Production and Packaging status

Support Category Buyer to implement financial and credit services agreement with the vendor that maximize profit and positively contribute to cash flow

 

Market & Competition study

Market & competition study in categories he is responsible and suggests new product ranges accordingly

 

Skill:

 

Must have 1-2 years of relevant experience from Homeware buying

Good knowledge of Homeware category.

Good knowledge of Retail Industry and products

Vendor management & Strong negotiation skill

Planning and organizing skills

Analytical skills

Commercial business acumen

Market research & Competition study

 

Qualifications

Overview of the role:

To provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate invoicing of all receivables across the Arabian Center Mall.

The role is also responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with collection targets.  A key aim of this role is to minimise bad debts in Arabian Center.

 

What you will do:

Responsible for:

Ensure invoices are processed on the system for all 3rd party and internal customers in accordance with their executed Lease Agreements and provided for payment in an accurate and timely manner

Collates and verifies documentation supporting the invoice to be issued to customers

Prepares and sends invoice to customer as scheduled

Researches and responds to all invoicing queries in a prompt manner.

Generate weekly AR Aging report and other weekly AR related reports as required from existing accounting system and excel

Responsible for managing the collection of all due invoices

Investigate and respond to accounts receivable queries in a prompt manner.  Conduct customer account reconciliations and provide accurate Statement of Accounts to both internal and external parties.

Assist business units to initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion

 

Job Context:

Executed Lease Agreement and related documents (Deed of Assignment, Deed of Surrender etc)

Credit Control Policy

Group Policy on Provision of Bad Debts

 

Required skills to be successful:

Job-Specific Skills:

Ability to manage own work flow and meet deadlines while responding to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external)

Strong communication skills - both oral and written. Ability to be assertive whilst still maintaining professionalism.

A strong customer focus

High level of attention to detail and accuracy is a must

 

Behavioural Competencies :

Must have excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

Strong organization and time management skills to ensure scheduled deadlines are met.

Is pro-active, flexible, takes initiative and able to work under pressure

 

What equips you for the role:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

2-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience

Knowledge of ERP Financial Software is necessary; Yardi expertise will be preferred.

 

Minimum Experience:

3-4 years’ experience in end to end accounts receivable procedures and processes
