Job Overview

At Electra, we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious contracting partner for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.

Main responsibilities (list is non exhaustive):

SUPPLIERS COMMUNICATION:

Maintain good communication with suppliers & answer suppliers’ phone calls & emails

Share payment allocations when requested by suppliers

Perform suppliers reconciliations as and when required, ensure to keep the records updated for review of Finance Manager

Acknowledgement of our payment terms with suppliers and ensure it is communicated across teams to avoid gaps

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE WORK:

Review POs prepared by Procurement (check correct GL code, split by job in NAV), advise corrections

Book purchase bills in NAV against POs (check invoice posting supporting: PO + delivery note signed & stamped + bill / contract, approving authority)

Prepare AP aging reports & weekly payments schedule, report and monitor urgent payments to be made (for validation with Finance Director)

Post LPO accrual by the end of month, update reporting packages and take part in all month end closing activities (WIP calculations & adjusting entries)

Follow up on waiting on bill (monthly)

Follow up on LPO register (monthly), ensure closing of open LPOs on time

Help negotiate payment terms with suppliers and propose recommendations for department improvement

ADMIN ACCOUNTING WORK:

Documents filing when needed

Report of any delay in complying with payment terms to Finance Manager

STOCK TAKE:

Participate in organizing and performing the year-end stock take for all concerned departments

Calculate the year-end stock value with procurement and with Finance Manager

Knowledge and Experience:

2-3 years of experience (audit experience is an advantage)

Graduate Education

Fluent English

Technical & Functional Skills:

MS Office

Microsoft dynamics NAV or on-hand experience for other accounting software

Other Skills & Competencies:

Effective team player

Good communication skills

Quick learner

Adaptive to the environment

Open minded

Senior Instrument Engineer, wood, Dubai, UAE

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Instrument Engineer to work as part of Client's Operations Group and will be reporting to Client Senior Instrument Engineer for a nominal period of 12 months.

 

Core Responsibilities required as below: 

The Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer is primarily engaged in the design, modeling, and analysis of I & C engineering requirements on a project, tender or proposal, as per client standards, international codes, and project scope of work

Planning and executing Instrumentation  engineering  design  for  field instrumentation, Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Integrated Control System (ICS), Fire and Gas, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Telecommunications systems. This entails the preparation of basic design , FEED and detailed design of the instrumentation and controls part of the project

Ensuring that the design is carried out as per the industry standard practices and in conformance with the quality management system

Co-ordination with Project and client

Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and pre-qualification documents in what relates to Instrumentation engineering design

Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers and Discipline Heads

Assimilating the evolution of new products and technology, and updating oneself on  the  latest  international  standards  in terms of engineering design practices and their applications

Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher productivity.

TBE, VDR and follow-up engineering activities

Skills / Qualifications

Experience Profile:

Minimum of 10+ years engineering experience in oil and gas field including onshore facilities

Must have working knowledge and experience of instrumentation and control discipline relevant onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices

Recent working experience of minor modifications and projects within oil and gas field

 

Educational Qualifications:

Degree level qualification in Instrument and Control Engineering

Competencies/Skills/Others:

Experience in minor modifications and projects

Should be pragmatic, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative

Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English

Expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion

Willingness to interact directly with people

Ability to work in an organised and structured fashion, and within time constraints

Job Description

·        Undertake design and modelling works for potable water supply, firefighting, wastewater and irrigation infrastructure projects.

·        In depth design experience of large transmission lines.

·        Undertake stagnation/water age and quality study of the potable water transmission project.

·        Undertake Modeling for all wet services with different kinds of modelling software and strive for modelling excellence.

·        Ability to validate the modelling output with engineering calculations.

·        Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure design works for projects to AECOM Clients within the allocated budgets.

·        Undertake technical checks of others work, technical reviews, progress reporting and liaising with internal and external Clients.

·        Ability to deliver the projects with full BIM implementation.

·        Coordinate implementation of the projects, ensuring that the performance is in accordance with their respective scope of service and conditions of Contract.

·        Coordinate aspects of projects design submittal and deliverables, reviews and approval against contract requirements. Report on any deviation from the same.

·        Adhere to AECOM Health and Safety and Quality measures including safety in design works

·        Provide design advice, reports and liaison role with other engineering disciplines. Assist the Managers in work coordination between the civil Infrastructure team and other AECOM teams.

·        Supervise, coordinate and support Engineer and provide design input to CAD Technicians.

·        Lead in coordinating with authorities for design review and approvals.

·        Coach and develop, as required, other infrastructure engineers and strive to distribute and share knowledge amongst team members.

·        Complete understanding of UAE and KSA design guidelines and authorities’ requirements
