We are currently recruiting for the Assistant to the Project Controls Manager, to work on our major infrastructure project in Doha, Qatar.

Job Description

Draft, review or recommend any project control related documents as required

Provide progress reports as and when required

Attendance at relevant meetings

Technically proficient in all aspects of project controls such as planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations

Report to the Project Controls Manager

Qualifications

Arabic speaker is a must;

Experience in Ministries or Government bodies preferable

Minimum of 8 years post graduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes; preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience

Current residence in Qatar preferable

Required immediately.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Taif, Saudi Arabia to join our team as the EJ200 ML1 & TPSF Ops Manager.

As the EJ200 ML1 & TPSF Ops Manager you will be based at the Royal Saudi Air Force Base in Taif, leading the EJ200 team providing ML1 Engine Advice and Support, as well as performing EJ200 TPSF scope Engine Maintenance and Repair in support of the EJ200 SSS3 contract.

You will be a key member of the RRSAL Taif leadership team that works closely with the RSAF and BAESSA in support of the EJ200 engine installed in the Typhoon aircraft.

Primary accountability of the role will be to provide EJ200 fleet planning / management, technical advice & support to ML1 and engine recovery in the TPSF repair facility.

Key Accountabilities:

Proactively identify threats to fleet operability and drive necessary mitigating actions to ensure Contract KPIs are met.
Review & Monitor fleet health, product reliability drivers and component utilization to ensure compliance with Life Management Plan, and support the decision making process for modification and containment action.
Provide RRSAL, EJ & Customer with a clear, up-to-date, near-term view of the fleet asset status, drive asset positioning to mitigate any future fleet exposures.
Ensure that operational activity is in line with longer term ‘Availability’ management, and that business forecasting is supported by real time information on fleet activity.
Lead and coordinate the EJ200 Technical Review Committee (TRC) activity for the TPSF engine repair capability at Taif.
Responsible for the ML1 / TPSF team’s Continuous Improvement plan, help identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and improve ML1 / TPSF Capability.
Effectively manage ML1 / TPSF direct “In Service” Customer relationships (RSAF / BAES / RRSAL / EJ / EJPC’s / RR Plc) in support of SSS3 Contract delivery.
Provide capability management / development for all ML1 / TPSF personnel (FSR's, FST's etc.) compliant with RR QMS, HS&E, and Regulatory requirements & standards.
Support and deputise for the Taif EJ200 Operations Manager (as required).

Qualifications:

Good understanding of maintenance, repair practices, processes & procedures.
Direct experience of providing customer facing technical and business support and managing complex customer and supplier interfaces.
Proven experience in programme and project management at team leader or managerial level.
Previous experience of managing / delivering a significant "Work Package".
Excellent leadership skills in leading cross functional teams.
Ability to display leadership behaviours and represent the company values.
Good communication, presentation and problem solving skills.

Recruitment & onboarding

· Perform all recruiting, hiring and on boarding processes including: advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, testing, short listing, negotiating, offering, on boarding, induction.

· Liaise with the marketing team in Doha and the UK for recruitment related activities.

· Liaise and coordinate with reputable recruitment agencies/ portals for sourcing the right candidates ensuring that costs are minimized where possible.

· To generate and update the following month-end reports: Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Unpaid Leave, Maternity Leave , Overtime, etc…

· To post bank accounts in the Payroll sheet and ensure all employees are paid via a current bank account.

· Handle employee payroll queries, issues and feedback to employees in a timely manner.

· Prepare Final Settlement calculation for Leavers as required by ensuring accurate calculations are made and relevant documents are received (Exit Checklist, Discharge certificate etc...).

· Oversee procedures related to employee resignations and ensure final settlement and entitlements are made.

· Ensure any payroll requests related to Salary advance, relocation benefits, education benefits, etc. And check and in accordance with policies and procedures.

· Manually check payroll details against supporting documents for transactions including deductions, additions, payables, leaves, etc.

· Meet payroll deadlines and ensure accuracy is maintained by end of the month.

· Undertake research into local compensation levels and benefit provision if required. Liaise with central HR team for guidance on salaries and benefit packages.

· Counter checking and signing of all salary related letter and certificates issued to employees.

Immigration & MOE:

· Manage all immigration, visa and work-permit related activities for all employees by monitoring the HR coordinator day to day immigration related activities.

· Handle the coordination between MOE and HR.

· Submit the staff/new joiners’ applications for MOE approval and maintain record of the applications and the process.

HR:

· Oversee probation reviews of all employees in accordance with agreed guidelines.

· Assist the HR Manager in writing and continually reviewing HR policies, procedures, practices, personnel administration systems, updating and / or recommending improvements as appropriate to management’s requirements.

· Produce regular, agreed reports and documentation to enable effective analysis of organisation

· Ensures school’s compliance with employment law requirements by keeping abreast of impending legislative changes, sharing information with the rest of the HR team and communicating as necessary to key stakeholders

· Ensure all ACS Doha HR processes and practices are in line with Qatar Labor Law, ACS Policies and consistent with the rest of the organisation where possible.

· Handle HR related staff events and departmental functions.

· Undertake any other duties as required.

Purchase Orders:

· Handle HR related purchase orders from receiving the invoice up to making sure the payment Is made.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience in a busy HR team in a multi-functional, customer focused environment

Good generalist HR knowledge, ideally gained in the Middle East

Able to demonstrate understanding of data flow and reporting

Strong Excel skills

Fluent English and Arabic speaker

Qualifications

Minimum Graduation from a recognized university.
3 years supervisory experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry.
Well experienced in export and import through air & land transportation or progressed in PWC about the same period

Proficiencies

Strong customer service skills and detail oriented.
Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
Computer skills; Microsoft office, email, internet explorer, etc. and ability to learn proprietary business software applications
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, organize and prioritize work load in order to meet numerous deadlines.
