Purpose
To initiate,oversee and ausit onshore welding activities for a designated client project. To also review and advise on the designated client procedures and processes.
- Represent Oceaneering as the focal point in all welding subject matters as an expert to the designated client.
- Assist with reviewing and developing welding procedures for compliant with the company specific requirements.
- Visit fabrication suppliers to designated client to assist with performing welding audits as and when necessary.
- Liaise with designated client focal point on audit findings, recommending any actions / corrections
- Attend client meetings with direction and support, where appropriate.
- Support designated client and assist them to achieve project goals
- Ensure that any business risk or integrity issues are communicated to the Project Manager
General
- The list of essential job duties is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected or requested from a client representative or Project Manager within the scope of the post
- Assist with other duties outside the scope of the project as and when required
- Undertake specific projects as instructed by the client or Project Manager

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

- Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor degree in material engineering, welding engineering, or equivalent (E);
- American Welding Socienty (AWS), Welding Engineering Certification or equivalent (P)
- Recognized Management or Supervisory Qualification (P)
Experience
- At least five-year experience in oil and gas industry with focus on fabric maintenance (E)
- At least three-years experience with welding procedure review and development (E)
- Exposure to working and communicating directly with client (E)
- Proficient in Windows Operating system, MS Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint (E)
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (verbal and written) (E)
Required Skills and Aptitudes
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload (E)
- Capability to generate team ethos to project delivery (E)
- Confident communicator both written and verbal to all levels (E)
Working Conditions
This position is considered ONSHORE which is characterized as follows.
- Almost exclusively indoors during the day
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
- Work surface is stable (flat)
