Associate HSES Advisor, Mcdermott, Dubai, UAE

Job Overview:

Responsible for the implementation of safety initiatives at worksites, monitoring compliance with McDermott safe working practices. Timely reporting deliverables including Incident notifications whilst maintaining an 80% presence at the worksite.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Have a sound knowledge of statutory HSES regulations and marine industry standards and ensure their correct implementation in line with company HSES system.
Ensure that HSES communications received from HSES Managers or Operations Manager, are brought to the attention of all employees through TBT. Interface with onsite client representative as required
Coordinate on all HSES issues between Operations Safety committee team, management committee and line management.
Regularly inspect the work areas to identify unsafe acts and conditions and advise line management of those that cannot be immediately corrected.
Coordinate and assist with incident notifications and investigations including compilation and submittal of completed reports in a timely manner.
Support Sr. HSES Advisor in yard readiness for operations
Engage with supervision and ensure housekeeping is sustained to best industrial practices
Execution of HSES Activity plan as per established schedules/frequency
Initiate, coordinate and record emergency drills, ensure a post drill review/ de-brief is conducted and make recommendations for the improvement of their effectiveness.
Attend to environmental issues at the work location and liaise as necessary with Sr. HSES Advisor
Audit issued PTW's, HIT and TRA's at worksite
Maintain a systematic archiving & filing system for required documented information

Essential Qualifications and Education:

Minimum 5 years HSES experience
NESBOSH certification
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Offshore experience required

We are looking for a strong sales professional with extensive experience in the Freight Forwarding industry, to join our Sea Logistics team in Dubai, UAE as a Sea Logistics Sales Reefer & Perishables.

YOUR ROLE

In this role, you acquire, win and retain new customers and build your own customer portfolio. This with a clear focus on Reefer and Perishables business. As a representative of the company, you will maintain close collaboration with key stakeholders and maximize business opportunities to achieve agreed goals of yourself and your team of Sales Executives.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Hunt new business opportunities with a clear focus on Reefer and Perishables accounts.

Develop and retain existing customer base.

Build a quality pipeline of SME customers and ensure 100% data quality in CRM.

Prepare quotations using our online tools and submit our proposal to the customers.

Deliver presentations about our main Sea Logistics products.

Develop expert market knowledge on key focus trades, carriers, routings, sailings, etc..

Report customer complaints to the Customer Care Team.

Conduct sales projects and participate in initiatives in alignment with the Customer Care Manager.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline.

Minimum 4 years experience in the freight forwarding industry.

Minimum 2 years experience in sales with a focus on developing sea logistics SME accounts.

Extensive and proven knowledge of UAE Sea Logistics market environment.

Proven knowledge of the Reefer & Perishables industry.

Excellent command in spoken and written English, Arabic language is a preferred to have.
