We are seeking a Marine Geotechnical Engineer to be based in the United Arab Emirates. You will drive collaborative working across regions and capitalize on opportunities including the promotion of knowledge and work sharing whilst delivering technical excellence through technical competence and excellent client relationships.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Experience working in a team environment
- Sound experience in preparation of geotechnical investigation scope for marine works and, interpretation of ground information
- Experience in geotechnical analysis and design of marine slopes and revetments, quay walls (blockwork walls, sheet piles and diaphragm walls, etc.), foundation design, preparation of geotechnical specifications for dredging, reclamation and ground improvement and assessment of associated verification testing results
- At least 7 years geotechnical consulting experience
- Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent would be advantageous
- Sound understanding of relevant geotechnical standards and guidelines (local and international) and design software within areas of expertise including Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D, Pile Design Software (e.g. ensoft packages), drivability analysis software (GRLWEAP) and foundation assessment software such as Settle 3D
- Proven experience of working in a D & C environments would be advantageous
- Sound interpersonal and technical skills, demonstrated ability to lead a group of geotechnical engineers in delivering solutions
- Ability to build & maintain strong client & team relationships
- Experience in planning and execution to achieve project and business goals
