Currently, we are currently looking for a passionate and energetic Warehouse Planner to be based in the Process & Systems. In this role, the successful candidate to manage day to day WMS super-user functions within the Distribution Center (s). Provide assistance to the WMS users in resolving WMS problems in the day to day activities, in order to provide the customer(s) receiving, picking, packing, distributing and warehousing (storage) activities in a timely, reliable and cost effective manner


Key Responsibilities

• Understand all WMS functions and how they relate to operational procedures including receiving, order processing, picking, packing, shipping, and stock counting functions.
• To be familiar with all SOPs, working instructions, and other documents concerning Warehouse Operations.
• Configure warehouse and location setup, create and update strategies for locations and SKUs, new SKU setup, and warehouse pick-put rule management.
• Analyze turnover, size, weight, UOM, and other related factors for items stored and develop strategies and methods for efficient storage utilization.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot any problems that arise within the WMS system. The warehouse planner is the first point of contact for resolving daily issues and further liaison with WMS IT support for technical problems that cannot be resolved by him/her.
• Prepare periodic reports regarding warehousing function activities and performances to be submitted to the Management.
• Identify improvement opportunities in existing processes and systems and suggest changes.
• Work with operational teams to initiate / implement continuous improvement plans.
• Initiating CPIP project resulting improving system functionality or process capabilities.
• Routinely audits the WMS users to ensure the correct use of written process and procedures. Record and report observations with the management. 
• Observes and monitors employee performance to verify that procedures are followed according to company standards.
• Measure productivity of the all the processes managed in the DC and periodically report the performances to the management. 



Job Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Two (2) or more years' experience in Warehouse operations and Inventory management, preferably with High Jump system background. 
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) 
• Excellent computer skills with a background in utilizing various data file formats. 
• Strong communication skills including excellent written and verbal English.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Results driven and extremely proactive and committed
• Ability to plan and organize multiple functions with competing interests
• High school diploma, preferably in a business or Supply Chain related field
• Two (2) or more years' experience in Warehouse operations and Inventory management, preferably with High Jump system background.

As a Regional Tax Controller, you will be a functional Subject Matter Expert in tax accounting, compliance, forecasting, modelling and analysis. You will play a leading role in knowledge management to share and convey information about new approaches and best practices.
 

You will be responsible for:
 

  • Preparing the US GAAP quarterly and year-end tax provisions ensuring integrity and accuracy.
  • Collecting and resolving open topics related to quarterly and annual US GAAP reporting.
  • Forecasting of total tax expense and cash tax payments.
  • Identifying, analyzing, communicating, and advising Tax accounting issues proactively with both tax and non-tax management personnel by maintaining current knowledge of local tax laws, regulations, accounting, and reporting standards.

  • Coordinating and support on the withholding tax compliance, provisioning, and forecasting.

  • Assisting and supporting the tax audit inquires and tax return compliance process.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of changes to local tax law.
  • Reviewing the Return to Provisions following completion of the tax return cycle.
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with SOX procedures.

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field from an accredited university or college.
  • Have a minimum 7 years of experience in Tax Accounting within Big 4 or US multinational.
  • Have a good working knowledge of ASC 740, FIN 48 and other US GAAP tax accounting concepts.
  • Have a good understanding of local countries’ tax laws and regulations in the region.
  • Have the Knowledge of local Statutory financial statements principles in the region is a plus.
  • Have experience in using OneSource Tax Provision.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Strategic Procurement Services (SPS) team as a Supply Chain Sustainability Manager, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve sustainable procurement targets.

The Supply Chain Sustainability Manager has a focus on all Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects of the Supply Chain and plays an important role in the delivery of HSBC’s sustainability commitments around Carbon Emissions, Responsible Consumption, Supplier Diversity, and Human Rights.

The role holder will focus on two main areas:

  • Be the Supply Chain Sustainability lead for the MENAT region, and support the Regional Head of SPS and Global Head of Supply Chain Sustainability in the development and implementation of strategies for a sustainable and diverse supply chain in the region, with the aim to make our supply chain Net Zero by 2030, supporting goals on responsible consumption, significantly increased supplier diversity, further improved ethical evaluation of our suppliers, and ensuring their alignment with HSBC’s values when it comes to human rights, at a regional and local level
  • Supplier sustainability strategy: increase supplier engagement, through the creation of supplier strategies addressing the implementation of sustainability in the supply chain, in collaboration with Category Management and regional sourcing teams

 

They will ensure that global best practice in policies, processes, and projects are adopted within SPS, and they will support with the development of global sourcing strategies that leverage our competitive position and balance cost and sustainability benefits.

The role holder will engage with local ESG teams and regional suppliers, to ensure ESG frameworks, practices and procedures are employed, escalating compliance issues as required to the Regional Head of SPS and Global Head of Supply Chain Sustainability and seeking guidance on best practice from both global, regional and country teams

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and support the development of sustainability strategies that align business objectives, customer requirements and HSBC sustainability commitments
  • Ensure sustainability strategies are executed effectively at a regional and local level, implementing global best practices in ESG
  • Drive and manage projects to address specific ESG issues that ensure sustainability strategies are executed effectively in support of delivery on objectives, implementing global best practices in ESG
  • Develop, manage and implement supplier engagement strategies for a sustainable supply chain, to increase and structure supplier engagement in relation to sustainability topics
  • Act as an SME on sustainability, industry/global standards and best practises, maintaining a community of practice with regional peers to ensure consistency and maintain market leading knowledge
  • Support the Head of Supply Chain Sustainability and Regional Head of SPS in developing sustainability objectives in scorecards, assisting with the definition of metrics and target proposals based on market best practices linked to the sustainability focus areas in strategic sourcing and sustainability objectives of HSBC
  • Provide regular reporting updates from ongoing projects, support the development and drive key metrics, identify improvement areas, track progress and ensure alignment on HSBC ESG requirements
  • Act as primary point of contact for regional / local suppliers and Category Management and Sourcing Leads with respect to ESG compliance/understanding issues
  • Lead or participate in relevant ESG Governance meetings, Steercos, working groups
  • Support the delivery of sustainable value through the provision of sustainable sourcing strategies and assurance, risk management, contractual protection and consistent best practice for HSBC
  • Support the development and communication of (group) policies, standards, methodologies and solutions appropriate to a sustainable supply chain.
  • Have extensive knowledge of procurement best practice and innovation
  • Have understanding of the financial services industry, including key players, strategic requirements, and key risks facing financial services institutions
  • Have significant experience applying environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals within a procurement function
  • Have knowledge of ESG goals within the financial services industry and non-financial services best in-class examples
  • Have knowledge of the appropriate metrics required to evaluate supplier ESG performance

 

 

 

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Experience & Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree is a must to secure UAE visa.
  • 8 years+ experience in a similar role
  • 3+ working in a relevant ESG or Procurement role
  • Significant experience applying environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals within a procurement function
