Job Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will provide pre-sales support of Keysight’s Network Wireless Solutions with focus on Service Provider business. You are responsible for providing technical support during presale, deployment and post sales phases and for the development of professional relationships with key customers, support and management of sales channel partners currently engaged with key customers within the whole META region. Among other tasks, you are specifically focused on the following:

  • Effectively work jointly with the Regional Sales Managers to Architect the solution (create Bill of Materials) and ensure that it best leverages NWS feature sets and fits into the overall Client architecture and requirements.
  • Assisting channel partners to identify, qualify and close pre-sales opportunities
  • Providing thought leadership and working closely with the Regional Sales Manager to coordinate efforts between partners, customer and Keysight
  • Understanding customer pain points and projects and effectively positioning Keysight NWS to solve those problems
  • Preparation of test solutions prior to on-site demonstration, evaluation and POC’s with focus on ALL Keysight 5G and Wireless solutions (virtual and hardware based) such as used in various network designs like RAN, ORAN, 5G,4G.. etc
  • Planning and conducting onsite and web presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts
  • Recognized as technical point of contact and technology/market expert by customer
  • Assist the sales team in executing sales strategies through pre-sales support
  • Regular customer visits and discovery across the wider META region
  • Delivering on-site demonstration, evaluation and POC’s, helping with automating these solutions and occasionally executing Professional Services tasks, as well as answering complex RFI’s and RFQ’s and establish BoM
  • Acting as Trusted Advisor for customers, designing Test Plans, PoC-plans, for execute related evaluations and assessments

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a skilled engineer that can assess customer needs and facilitate solutions unique to their business. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering (Telecom, Computer Science, or similar)
  • 7 + years of customer-facing pre-sales experience or equivalent
  • Hands-on Experience in Drive test solutions and Analytics
  • Extensive knowledge about RF Planning and Optimization for 2G-5G
  • Technically competent in multiple relevant areas of technology such as; 2G-5G related knowledge from RAN to ORAN, Cloud including RF and ETSI/3GPP Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of competitive Solutions products and technologies such as Nemo, TEMS, ROMES, as well as solutions from Drive testing Analytics and Automation covering the whole 2G-5G world.
  • Programming skills using Python, Pearl.
  • Computer networking skills and Network IP Fundamental
  • Practical trouble-shooter of complex technical problems
  • Fluent in English and Arabic is mandatory.

The position is for a baggage handling system engineer, to be part of the site-based technical compliance team for Kuwait International Airport – Terminal 2 project (KIA-T2).

Role

Reporting to the Lead Baggage Handling Engineer, as part of the site-based compliance team, the role will be to review the Contractor’s submitted documents, for compliance with the technical & performance requirements of the baggage handling specification.

  • Review the concept of operations and ensure they fit within the context of the wider end to end baggage handling and hold baggage screening operations
  • Review of operational performance metrics and review mechanisms in conjunction with user requirements
  • The role may also include review of physical mock-ups, factory acceptance tests, non-conformance reports and method statements.
  • Advising the Client on issues relating to the baggage handling system/package
  • Location: KIA-T2 project site office in Kuwait City, based in Kuwait

Requirements and skills

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Minimum 15 years’ aviation experience, and minimum of 5 years in design and overseeing implementation of automated materials handling systems, supply chain and working knowledge of airport baggage handling systems.
  • Demonstration of successful involvement in customer facing projects
  • Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam and Visio
  • Able to use AutoCAD as a means of reviewing layout drawings
  • Experience of technical assessments of D&B contractor’s submissions through the procurement, final design phase and construction (design verification for compliance, response to RFIs, evaluation of alternate design solutions and constructability issues, shop drawing and 3D model reviews)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is essential
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communications skills in English (both written and verbal)
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges
  • Ability to travel within GCC and to relocate to Kuwait
  • Minimum 1-year commitment to the role
  • Meet the base competency requirements for Grade 5

Chief Operating Officer - Sports Facility, Black Pearl Consult, Dubai, UAE

 A fast growing sports facility in the UAE is urgently looking for a Chief Operating Officer  who will report directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors. The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations of the padel sports clubs, monitor and adjust financial performance, provide guidance to the Board on governance matters and lead the management team(s) to deliver a superior member experience. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service for members and their guests. Furthermore, the ideal candidate is expected to keep the collective best interest of the company in mind at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, manages and implements long term/strategic, capital and business plans, operating reports and general policies and procedures for both centers.
  • Responsible for the timely development of accurate annual budgets for each direct report departments. Coordinates the preparation of the comprehensive annual business plan with all departments. Collaborates and assists key managers with developing, monitoring and achieving business and operating plans for all the center
  • Prepares and monitors monthly and quarterly financial reports/statements, revenue goals and expenses as well as generating various (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) business reports and forecasts.
  • Monitors business volume forecast in each department and advises changes to plans or programs, in areas of manpower, productivity, operating costs and other elements. Recommends effective corrective action, as needed.
  • Leads regular department head meetings and financial review meetings aimed at ensuring coordination of all areas of the club and at addressing pending issues as a team. Promotes active communication in all areas, collaboration and accountability.
  • Maintains close contact with members on a daily basis to ensure member satisfaction expectations are exceeded. Oversees the resolution of member, guest and employee feedback and challenges in a timely manner.
  • Ensures the highest standards are achieved through adhering to proper operating procedures in all related areas.
  • Oversees the execution of a strategic membership development program designed to increase total membership count and membership dues revenue. Monitors sales and marketing results to ensure goals are met. Supports and guides team with the creation of marketing programs to promote the facility’s services to potential customers.
  • Ensures operations comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
  • Ensures compliance with purchasing policies and procedures and that all centers are benefiting from vendor relationships and national accounts.
  • Oversees the care and maintenance of all of the clubs physical assets and facilities. Oversees the coordination of property-wide maintenance efforts between the building management department and senior managers.
  • Reinforces with key department heads the need for training programs to include but not limited to member service, food and beverage service training, train the trainer programs, safety and other training programs.
  • Monitors all center’s overall safe-work practices, coordinates ongoing safety education programs, and ensures compliance in all departments. Emphasizes prevention through training, inspection and preventive enforcement.
  • Handles emergencies such as fires, accidents and breaches of security or house rules promptly and in person.
  • Develops and maintains a positive management philosophy to guide personnel toward optimal operating results, employee morale and member satisfaction. Reviews policies relating to personnel actions & training along with professional development programs.
  • Updates and oversees implementation of company policies and procedures for direct report departments, including compliance with all company standards. Recommends improvements as necessary.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Directly manages center operations that may include, but is not limited to: Center Manager, Sports Club Manager, Head Padel Professional, Head of Administration, Head of Accounting and Head of Health and Safety.
  • Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Ensures ongoing training programs are adapted and documented for the property.
  • Maintains membership with other professional associations (as appropriate). Attends conferences, workshops and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments in the field.
  • Coordinates efforts with onsite HOA management, as needed, on major projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • a degree holder, ideally with MBA or other qualificaitons
  • knowledge in sports facility backgroudn would be a plus
  • strong fluency in English and knowledge in another language will be plus
  • strong business acumen and financial background
  • have experience in managing muliple sites/ branches
  • willing to travel around Abu Dhabi, when needed
