About the Role

Due to the continued success of our GEMS Founders School, we are looking to recruit a Teacher of English for the next academic year. This role will be for a September 2022 start.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A B.Ed or subject related degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent

  • Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents

Your day to day

We are currently recruiting for a full time Sales Executive, Corporate to join our enthusiastic team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina. As a Sales Executive – Corporate, you are responsible to implement all sales activities and maximize business opportunities in your specific area of responsibility – under the general guidance of the Director of Sales and Marketing. • Generate and maintain customers of the corporate segment through various sales activities (face-to-face sales calls, telephone calls, entertainment, site inspections, etc); thus ensure complete coverage of own portfolio of accounts and achieve targets and maximum productivity • Have comprehensive and up to date knowledge of all the properties’ unique selling points, features, amenities, services and policies • Update the hotels on the negotiation / progress of every business deal and use the technology available for reports, communication and client correspondences • Provide feedback to the Director of Sales & Marketing on changing market conditions, review direct competition and conduct regular research • Participate in any Training / Development schemes as recommended by the Senior Management


What we need from you

Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Hotel Corporate Sales role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry, ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, strong verbal and written communication skills along with being quality oriented with focus on details, high performance standards, able to multi-task & meet deadlines and technical proficiency in related software preferable.

 Purpose:

As Group HR Manager, you will deliver a proactive and flexible HR service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to all employees, whilst driving best practices and ensuring compliance with all Company procedures, documented policies and employment legislation. Summary:

The Group HR Manager will lead the HR Team in providing the full range of HR Services for its operations. The position will be accountable in leading the HR Operations strategy and coordinating the deployment of its operations with the organization. There is a high focus on standardization of processes and alignment of systems amongst the group. The position is required to be hands-on, great in recording and organizing and a motivational manager, who likes to show by example.

Pre-requisites & Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology or related;
  • Experience of successfully developing, leading and implementing strategy, policy or operational plans across a medium or large organization in manufacturing;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic;
  • 10 years of experience in Human Resources, including experience in employee relations and delivering on a wide range of HR initiatives across a large organization.
  • Flexible attitude
  • Ability to problem solve by thinking outside the box
  • Proven experience recruiting at all levels.
  • An ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organization in the resolution of HR issues
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment

Responsibilities:

  • Support various HR projects linked to short and long term HR strategy deliverables to the business.
  • Support with the preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly reports as required by the Senior Management team

  • Manage the exit process with regard to exit interviews and settlement inputs to ensure a seamless exit for the employee.
