General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitoring of contractor progress including materials delivered, materials installed, materials dredged, labor resources employed, equipment resources utilized, and other statistical management.
  • Verification of the contractor’s monthly request for payment derived from surveyed completed fill quantities.
  • Development and provision of data and information to produce progress reporting and monthly schedule status.
  • Set-up of the budget and reporting process.
  • Accumulation of statistical progress and resource data on a daily basis.
  • Quantity estimates for progress payment purposes.
  • Updated final quantity estimates based upon actual progress data.
  • Provision of progress data for schedule purposes.
  • Assistance as required for the development of budgets and costs at completion.
  • Variation analysis and estimates.
  • Analysis of costs of delay as required.
  • Cost analysis of alternative means and methods as required.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
 

Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • At least ten years of experience in a similar role.
  • RICS accreditation or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC contracts is highly preferred.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments.

Job Description

  • Provide precise assessment of risk to support Relationship Team in achieving the highest retention rates for profitable business.
  • Estimate the impact of product changes on the contract performance and revise premiums accordingly.
  • Agree on final corporate renewal rates.
  • Discuss, negotiate, and explain quotations and technical results to Relationship Team to ensure complete understanding and agreement on final prices and product changes.
  • Revisit the benefits of high loss ratio accounts and recommend product changes and/or adequate price increases to enhance profitability.
  • Evaluate the risk profile and set the adequate premiums using the pricing model and product specifications provided by the Account Managers.
  • Follow the pricing policy guidelines to consider and approve additional benefits over and above the regulated CCHI policy.
  • Coordinate with the corporate renewal pricing team to ensure accurate interpretation of results.
  • Adjust periodically the pricing model and the loading factors according to the provider trends and their movements among the networks.
  • Prepare related Cognos reports
  • Manage the automated reports (frequent users report, management information report) and ensure that they are in line with the projected technical results.
  • Provide and support Relationship Team with customized reports that evaluate contracts experience and attribution.
  • Manage the monthly reports and provide updates of the department KPI’s (retention rate, price increases…)
  • Conduct simulations and reports to support management in setting the pricing strategy.
  • Manage the payment flexibility terms for renewals and new business contracts.

Job Purpose:

Manager, Quality Assurance, Flowserve, Al Khobar, KSA

 Role Summary:

We are looking for a Quality Manager for our Joint Venture (Flowserve Al-Rushaid) in Saudi Arabia. In this role the person will be accountable for managing all activities related to our QA/QC activities across our original equipment, aftermarket and parts manufacturing centre operations. The individual must have a proven track record of leadership in the quality function within an engineering / manufacturing environment as well as demonstrating a ‘hands on’ approach.


Responsibilities & Requirements:

The role holder will implement the Zero Defect Programme (ZDP) consistent with business vision. They will interact with customers, suppliers, and functional areas such as manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, project management and field service teams to identify and evaluate performance trends, product quality problems and general quality issues. They will champion root cause analysis (RCA), ensure our corrective actions are suitable and most importantly drive preventative action planning so the same non-conformance is not repeated.

As part of the championing RCA, they will continually coach and mentor all departments to ensure the RCA and preventative action culture is delivered to the facility.

They will provide the corporate reporting requirements and necessary KPIs as required by the respective Director of Quality and present said results to the platform President when required. Within these report outs the key focus will be on the structured action plans we are taking to prevent reoccurrence of non-conformances.

They will support supply chain to evaluate suppliers quality performance data to identify areas of focus and help develop supplier quality improvement plans. The person will also conduct the necessary supplier audits when necessary.

They will be able to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people internally and externally to the facility.

Regular reviews of the sites QMS and relevant updates will be required and always be aligned to corporate systems requirements.

Internal audits to ensure procedural adherence will also be required as well as hosting all external quality related audits of Flowserve Al-Rushaid

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Analyse major quality related non conformance and identify top 20% of issues / cause codes related to COPQ (manufacturing or business process). Develop solid action plans and implement them to prevent reoccurrence of these issues.

Enhance customer experience through delivery of quality products on time every time.

Behaviours and values: Drive a quality culture within the facility by continually reinforcing process adherence and sharing the progress the team is making in terms of eliminating non-conformance.
