The successful candidate will be a key part of the operations team and will be responsible for project managing new Fulfillment and Last Mile logistics buildings in construction across KSA. This will include the extension of existing facilities and any new sites. This role plays an integral role in the development and implementation of the MENA network infrastructure.
This opportunity is focussed on construction engineering, project management, and contract management. It requires a person who can show proven ability in the planning and design, and project management / control of new and the enhancement of existing facility buildings.
The role can be based in Riyadh or Jeddah and frequent travel to all various locations across KSA.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for overseeing construction engineering, planning, and design for operations and other new or expansion projects
· Responsible for project support on new fulfillment network buildings and additional capacity requirements within existing MENA operations
· Undertake construction engineering design on new and remodel projects
· Prepare reports, specifications, technical analysis to fully define the design requirements, equipment and services required
· Provide technical direction within engineering design / AutoCAD, building design, layouts, build details, schedules and materials
· Survey facilities, develop and document a procedures to audit the facility, provide evaluations and analysis, and recommend solutions to facility infrastructure, safety and security problems involving facilities and people
· Negotiate contracts with vendors and present formal documentation for approval when required
· Ensure that contracts are fit for purpose, cost effective and incorporate appropriate Service Level Agreements
· Provide overall site management, coordination, planning, specification of business proposals and coordination of subcontractors
· Facilitate and team with others on due diligence evaluation of new opportunities
· Coach and guide all project teams (sub-contractors, maintenance engineers and commissioning engineers) throughout the full project lifecycle
· Ensure that contracted resources deliver work to meet duration and quality targets, addressing and ensuring the correction of under-performance issues
· Audit contractors to check that the skills and competences of contract labor are appropriate to need and they are fit to undertake the work on which they will be deployed
· Inform contractors of projected changes in resource or work demand so that they can take appropriate action
· Establish and operate the information systems necessary for effective scheduling and recording of contract work
· Support contractors’ work and help them to achieve higher performance levels.
· Coach other new members on best practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or comparable field or Amazon experience
· Experience as an engineer and senior construction manager
· Experience as a facilities manager or similar
· Project Management experience from design phase through implementation and operation
· Experience negotiating construction, procurement and labor contracts
· Ability to lead and manage a team, including, coaching and disciplinary actions, as needed
· Business Level Languages : English proficiency
· Ability to travel throughout KSA up to 40% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in engineering or construction management
· Ability to effectively communicate Amazon requirements to various audiences (e.g. senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.)
· Fluency in Arabic

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Purpose  

The purpose of an OPG UK Subsea Technician is to build technical and operational skills, so they can develop an opportunity to progress through the career framework levels.

As an operational starting point, it is essential to enhance inter and intra personnal skills in order to play their role in the operational team. Together with this is the forming of positive relationships and overcoming rewarding challenges, both independently and as a part of a team.  

Functions

SAFETY

All employees are required to:

  • Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonbly practicable to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture at all times
  • Participation in the company HSE Observation card, STOP and LSR self verifcation programs.
  • Use their SWA (Stop Work Authority) to stop a job they may feel is unsafe, in order to prevent an accident/incident occuring.
  • Work and abide by our 6 life saving rules: energy isolation, working at heights, suspended loads, radiation, confined space and pressure testing, and practice the fatality prevention behaviours that are associated with each life saving rule.

TECHNICAL

  • Use available asset and maintenance management systems to log equipment maintenance, current asset locations, and equipment certifications.
  • Understand technical work instructions and engineering drawings, including general assembly, P&ID, Electrical and hydraulic schematics and assembly procedures.
  • Disassemble, inspect, maintain, repair and reassemble all equipment. Troubleshoot, identify and replace defective parts and components.
  • Operate equipment within an assigned scope, safely, competently and to the highest quality standard
  • Perform testing on all equipment, inclusive of function testing, factory acceptance testing and system integration testing.
  • Load and unload equipment and work vans.
  • Clean and remove dirt, grease, waste material and pressure wash equipment.
  • Clean work area, tools and equipment and perform other routine duties associated with day to day operations and equipment and work area upkeep.
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives that are operated by Oceaneering, including the reporting of Non conformances (NC) and cost of poor quality (COPQ), and awareness of the Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Assist with all technical data for jobs such as changes to drawings, shematics, OMMs etc. as required for job.
  • Provide support on products and assists in maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning.
  • Interface with client representatives where neccessary
  • Work as a positive and collaborative team player, when working in team environments.
  • Work independantly on tasks with varying degrees of supervision
  • Be available for ADHOC onshore scopes if required
  • Maintain credentials and complete required training on-line in Oceneering’s chosen Learning Management System (Sum Total).

 An  AC Technician is responsible for maintaining all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and installations in good working condition by carrying out necessary repairs and preventive maintenance

 


What will I be doing?

 

 

 

As an AC Technician, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: - Reports to the A/C and Refrigeration Technician/Foreman regarding daily work progress and trouble report completion.

 

 

  • Attains all refrigeration and A/C trouble reports on daily basis. Guest room trouble is given priority
  • Works closely with A/C and Refrigeration Technician/Foreman and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance program
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures and instructions
  • Carries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Able to read Building, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical drawings
  • Able to fault find and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration and building control systems. Good electrical knowledge
  • Knowledge of BMS systems. - Experience of reciprocating Chillers and Air handling plant and cold rooms
  • Familiar with planned Preventive Maintenance and Safety programmes
  • Flexible and team player – able to work on own initiative
  • Good understanding of water treatment techniques and able to handle chemicals
  • Makes periodic inspection tours to check all refrigeration equipment functioning properly
  • Carries out guest room maintenance according to schedule programme
  • Works closely with electrician to carry out electrical work when required, including functions and parties
  • Daily refrigeration log sheet to be filled and temperature to be recorded
  • Works closely with peers to assist in their job when requested by supervisor
  • Keeps all necessary tools in good working condition, keep their working place neat and clean
  • Attains all departmental meetings and training classes
