The primary duties and responsibilities of the Anchor include, but are not limited to:

• Taking direction from Senior Producer.
• Delivering the Morning show in a distinctive style that will attract and retain viewers with a voice quality that is authoritative yet conversational using Modern Standard Arabic.
• Arriving in the newsroom in plenty of time to be prepared for the show as per the instruction of the Senior Producer.
• Introducing stories and report information to the audience.
• Assisting Senior Producer in reviewing all scripts for the show.
• Determining show topics and content in coordination with the Senior Producer.
• Booking guests for the show in coordination with the Senior Producer and MBN Interview Desk.
• Conductinginterviews, taped or live.
• Rehearseinf shows in consultation with the production team. 
• Maintaining composure while on air.
• Performing under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Maintaining knowledge of international and U.S. news events.
• Adhering at all times to MBN’s Code of Journalistic Ethics.
• Adhering to MBN style and dress code at all times while on air.
• Making sure that attire and look is approved by the supervisor before appearing on air

Candidates are required to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or broadcast journalism is preferred.
• 3-5 years news anchoring experience.
• Excellent English and  Modern Standard Arabic written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated editorial judgment.
• Knowledge and awareness of major news stories and developments in the MENA region.
• Demonstrated ability to interview newsmakers.
• Strong on-camera presence and personality.
• Ability to work well with others in a professional environment under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Ability to exercise self-discipline and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of journalistic ethics and libel laws.
• Ability to accommodate flexible work schedule to support 24/7 news environment, including overnight coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Development, Management & Implementation of HSE plan and SOP’s

• Manage all HSE requirements for contractors and 3rd parties

• Conduct regular monthly HSE Meeting with Management to ensure compliance at all levels.

Qualification & Experience:

• Must hold ADPHC / OSHAD Grade (A) Qudorat card.

• 8 to 11 years of experience in HSE Management.

• Relevant HSE Qualification i.e Nebosh, IOSH or CSP etc.

• Certification in 9001, 14001 & 45001 and its Audit Requirements

• Bilingual in Arabic and Good in English.

• Good presentation skills with ability to solve critical scenarios.

• Hold Valid driving License.

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for a HSE Specialist to work on our Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP) in Al - Khobar, Saudi Arabia. 
 

OMPP is a multi-year, multi program venture covering both greenfield and brownfield offshore projects here in Saudi Arabia. The scope of this program includes Engineering & Design, Procurement and Construction Management support

• Development of a safety - oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance
• Develop, lead approval committee and publish company HSSE Manual, training materials, procedures and templates
• Manage compliance to regulatory, company, and client requirements
• Manage company employee HSSE communication
• Liaise with parent company and Group Level organizations
• Participate in prequalification and bid documents regarding HSSE input
• Assist Project Management and Project HSSE with providing HSSE assurance to Clients / Projects, including participation in HSSE coordination meetings as required
• Manage inventory / stocking, distribution / checkout and condition of service for company PPE for all company personnel needs. Ensure employee training and certifications on proper PPE usage, care and custody
• Manage / perform periodic Company and Project specific HSSE audits, record findings and prepare presentation of all audits including, follow - up inspection for NCRs, Action Items, etc
• Perform periodic site visits of active company construction management projects to ensure direct employee compliance with minimum company practices, procedures and HSSE requirements
• Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses to establish the cause and recommend actions to prevent reoccurrence
• Develop, lead management approval team, publish, and maintain company emergency response plans including evacuation, building security and emergency contacts
• Manage and direct company Safety Officer(s) and security contractors in execution of building security, access control and evacuation response
• Review, coordinate, supervise company emergency response drills and performance

Skills / Qualifications

• B.S. Degree required
• OSHA or NEBOSH credentials strongly preferred
• ISO 14001 certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in HSSE Officer required
• At least five years’ experience working in Saudi Arabia in related field with strong management and Saudi Aramco plus KSA experience and qualifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel is required. Experience in a Power Point strongly preferred
• Demonstrated strong attention to details, proactive administrative support, strong written and verbal communications skills, and organizational and planning skills required
• Must have a demonstrated track record of building healthy relationships and outstanding interpersonal skills
• Experience in a professional service or engineering industry strongly preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic
• Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural team as well as independently
