Job description

     Responsible to support the Showroom and Self Serve warehouse areas and focus on home furnishing solutions.
    Coordinate with the 2nd interior designer and the sales department when new items arriving, and arrange a plan together to display those items.
    Develop actions needed to be taken in order to improve your area and follow up on the results.
    Follow up on the sales results of each HFB, and provide the support needed.
    Responsible to ensure, on daily basis, that all Medias are organized, the floors are clear from tool and equipment, all safety actions are taken.
    Check for missing accessories and propping, make a list of these items and replace them with new ones.
    Responsible to improve the layout in your areas of responsibility in order to create a good overview and visual impact and to provide an easy buying process for our customers.
    Work with all the colleagues to ensure that the store is always in shape as new
    Check for stock availability with the sales department before taking any items for display.
    Ensure that all communications are not torn and have no pen or pencil marks on them.
    Check for any missing communication and take necessary action.
    Responsible for the maintenance of the visual impression and up to date appearance
    Make visual check of all the sales areas of your responsibility, on daily basis before store opening, and ensure that these areas are well maintained and that the store is ready to receive customers.
     Prepare an inventory checklist on the tools in hand, and submit the checklist for acknowledgment to the 2nd interior designer.
    Create an action plan for your area of responsibility and communicate it to the 2nd interior designer & colleagues.
    Maintain good relationship with the 1st and 2nd interior designers and meet with them weekly to follow-up on pending issues, get updates, new information and future plans.
    In coordination with the 2nd interior designer, meet the different HFBs group leaders on periodic basis and walk together through the areas and review all medias and commercial message treatment, display techniques including sales steering and the price and quality ladder and product communication, hot spots, price ladder, commercial lighting and customer flow analysis.
    Refer to the Commercial Calendar of activities, if required, and discus potential improvements with the concerned managers and group leaders.
    You are responsible to update your HFB area layout on Auto CAD when required.
    Review the visitors questions and take action on the 10 most frequently asked questions.

    Develops working drawings, within company and industry standards and codes, from
    equipment specifications and detailed drawings to support completion of engineering deliverables
    Creates drawings involving plans, layouts, calculations and bills of material
    Works on assignments involving a variety of design procedures and techniques
    Records observations, performs calculations and prepares reports on assignments
    Performs layouts, design and checking work from the basic data supplied
    Designs and makes detail drawings from rough sketches involving intricate calculations and the application of fundamental engineering principles
    Establishes project drafting standards and monitors their conformance
    Identifies cost effective solutions to design problems
    Assists in the preparation of bid evaluations
    Designs and constructs models, prototypes, processes or equipment; compiles and evaluates data, makes recommendations, prepares report
    Prepares estimates of time, quantities, materials and labour required for activities related to testing, installation, manufacture, design or construction

 
Skills / Qualifications

    Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experiance in inertior design
    Diploma in designing or equivalent is required
    Competent user of CAD/D software
    An understanding of related engineering principles and practices, plus training and diversified experience in the field of activity is required
    Capable of interpreting key documents including; engineering standards, piping material specifications, P&IDs and Line Lists
    Technically oriented, mechanically inclined, good at mathematics and talented at translating
    intangible concepts into hands-on project plans

    Minimum 5 years hands on experience with SAS Management Console, SAS EG, SAS DI, SAS VA
    Minimum 2 years hands on experience with SAS web tools, SAS Stored Processes, Macro, Graph,Stat, OLAP Cube, Information map, SAS BI Dashboard Knowledge of Enterprise Miner, Model Manager, Base SAS code is a MUST Conceptual understanding of data profiling, fuzzy matching, entity resolution, etc.

Preferred:

    Good understanding of predictive analytics, data quality and data management concepts
    Ability to manage mid-to-large SAS development projects; experience in project management is a plus
    Understanding of configuration management, change management and release management concepts and how they relate to application development and administration

The Data Architect ensures Auckland Unlimited strategic goals are optimised by evolving effective Enterprise Data Management using enterprise data standards for data warehousing, data lake, data management and other corporate databases. The key for this role is to unlock the value of data within the organisation by providing expertise, platforms, and capabilities.

 

The Data Architect works closely with the Digital Services team and is a problem solver that works with peers to co-design and improve enterprise data management to support the business strategy.

 

The role reports to Head of Architecture and works across the business to ensure that data can be managed as a strategic asset, is transparent, trusted, accessible and available in a timely manner to deliver business value. This role will have a data engineer reporting into it.

 

 

 

 

About you

 

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a high level of problem solving and decision-making skills, using professional judgement

 

    At least 10 or more years’ experience working with large scale data platforms
    At least 5-7 years of experience as a Data Architect
    Working experience with both on-premises, public cloud and SaaS hosted data management platforms and data architecture including but not limited to cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure
    Knowledge and understanding of both batch and fast-moving data paradigms
    Working experience with one or more data warehousing applications that may include Oracle, PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL and Azure Data Platform technologies (preferably Microsoft Azure Data Platform and Data Lake.
    Experience with data manipulation and scripting languages such as SQL, Python and Java
    Well versed with various data modelling techniques and design principles
    Possess strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills around computation, interpretation and presentation of data intelligence for decision making
    Knowledge of Machine Learning, data mining and AI principles applied to data patterns recognition resolving data driven problems
    Knowledge and experience working with NoSQL data management platforms such as MongoDB, Hadoop, Cassandra, MapReduce etc
    Good working experience in establishing MDM (Master Data Management) patterns across the Enterprise data estate
    Certifications and trainings in relevant data science courses would be a plus
    Ability to self-manage and prioritize work while mentoring junior team members
    Experienced people manager with an empathy led and facilitating attitude towards building up effective capabilities and skills within the team driven by positive motivation and collective teamwork
    Ability to use a variety of design and visualization tools to create enterprise data artefacts, data flows, solution designs, as-builts and data models
    Knowledge of relevant legislations, data privacy regulations (PCI, GDPR etc) and associated legal compliance
