Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have the following :


Minimum age: 21 years

Minimum arm reach: 212 cm (on tip toes)

Minimum education: high school education

Fluent in written and spoken English (ability to speak another language is an asset)

Excellent health and fitness

Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar

Outgoing personality with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a multinational team

About the role


We are hiring for your skills to optimize Qatar Airways digital merchandizing capabilities with a holistic view along the customer journey. Plan and implement merchandizing techniques, closely working with other digital business units. Distribute and market Qatar Airways flight and non-flight partner products to add value to the customers experience, convert revenue opportunities and achieve business objectives in line with a clear Commercial vision to achieve a best-in-class customer experience on digital platforms, increase the adoption of the digital channels and optimize revenue generation and customer retention fora sustainable Ion -term growth.


Other operational duties would include:


Manage the implementation of Qatar Airways merchandizing strategy across all digital channels by translating Qatar Airways business and customer experience goals into digital merchandizing strategies and capabilities in order to drive customer satisfaction and revenue generation.

Identify technology and process needs to enable and support the implementation of merchandizing capabilities in Qatar Airways digital channels.

Keep a holistic view on merchandizing trends and new technologies through competitor, market and industry analysis, in order to steer the merchandizing strategy, to identify and introduce new and to constantly advance existing merchandizing capabilities.

Define and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective ancillary merchandising through offering the right products to the customer across different digital distribution and communication channels at the right time in the customer journey from inspiration to day-of-travel.

Ensure flight and non-flight products are distributed and marketed in the most effective way during shopping processes pre, during and post the flight booking through utilizing and implementing best practice technology, techniques and processes.

Influence a customers purchasing decision through implementing sales techniques and design considerations during the shopping process in order to increase conversion and shopping cart value. Encourage up- and cross-selling through offering appropriate product and fare buy-ups that suit customer needs in order to grow ancillary attach rate and shopping cart value.

Develop the shopping capabilities on QRS digital direct channels to allow product attribute selling and simple comparison shopping for flight and non-flight products supported by attractive rich media content to enable QR to fully display its brand and offer proposition in the digital direct channels.

Monitor the market and understand trends, gaps and opportunities

Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You


We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Digital Marketing and Acquisition Team.


Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.


Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience

At least 6 years' experience in the field of digital commerce and digital marketing.

Experience in developing and optimizing digital content.

Prior experience working in a head office of a multi-national company with global responsibilities.

Must have experience in working in more than one geographical region and prior exposure to a multi -cultural work environment.

Extensive experience of working in a results-oriented and fast paced environment. Experience with lean methodologies, including Agile.

Highly analytical, commercially astute and numerate

Good communication skills, a proactive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude

About the role


As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen by managing a small team of workers, in which they are responsible for keeping organized to ensure food is delivered on time and the work area remains clean and tidy. Also responsible for all culinary dishes that are prepared in their section with their specialty, as well as culinary functions in general to ensure all standards has been followed as per food safety guidelines.


Key accountabilities include:


Plan, prepare, and cook menu items in their section as directed by Sous Chef by following recipes and standards to ensure that all food is prepared as per HACCP standards.

Assist and involve in the development and planning of menus, including future food trends, and to be passionate about developing new styles of service and concepts in the location.

Conduct inventory periodically as per schedule to ensure all meals produced in the shift are as per requirements and left overs are managed effectively to minimize wastage.

Compile all food orders for sections under their supervision, to ensure stock, deliveries and wastage are all checked and recorded in line with company and food standards.

Review and gain an understanding of food costing, sales mix and menu planning with Sous Chef, managing wastage and maintaining kitchen productivity.

Spot check culinary sections by following daily checklist to cover all food productions activity in timely manner.

Monitor kitchen stock movement and ordering system, to ensure all stock levels are in line with the standards and demands and avoid excess stock.

Report and record and kitchen equipment issue in timely manner to avoid any interruption during food production.

Conduct kitchen stock take with Storekeeper as per schedule, by consolidating all items and quantity correctly to ensure all inventory are accurate.

Report any food safety issues to Sous Chef, occurring inside the kitchen or restaurant buffet counter, by giving complete report and evidence for further investigation and review to avoid any food poisoning.

Perform other department duties related to their position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you


The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:


Relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualifications. Additional trade certificates or relevant training certificates are highly preferred.

Culinary school or certified culinary professional courses/program/Diploma/Degree.

A successful completion of a major international brand or hotel apprenticeship.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience and previously worked as a Commis Chef.

Essential to have a la carte experience in a high-end restaurant

Excellent communication skills with fluency in English language.

Good Working, knowledge about food and beverage production.

Creative in craft skills with a working knowledge of food production.

Proof of completion in a basic food hygiene course.

HACCP Training.

Computer literate (MS Office)
