Position Description:

Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing team is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to work under Manufacturing Technical Support Division to render environmental protection and performance aspects.

Minimum Requirements:

As the successful candidate you hold a Bachelor degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.


You should have at least 12 years work experience in the Oil and Gas sector especially in Refining, Chemical and/or NGL Fractionation Process.


You should be familiar with ISO-14001 Environmental Management System and substantial experience in environmental regulations and standards.

Also required is work experiences with overall refinery environmental performance calculation, daily monitoring and reporting.

You must be able to identify deviations and developing solutions to environmental problems, perform waste minimization assessments and advise on the handling, treatment, and disposal of solid, liquid, hazardous and toxic wastes.

Experience in establishing environmental business plans objectives, emission baseline and setting targets of key performance indicators such as flaring, SO2 emission and Hydrocarbon discharge to marine.

Additionally, you should have adequate knowledge and experience in Green House Gas (GHG) management, strong data collection and data analytic experience to observe the GHG reduction opportunities and advise to improve the performance.

Strong management and coordination skills are necessary to lead and work with environmental teams in operating facilities under the Global Manufacturing Excellence Admin Area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate you will perform the following:


Monitor facility operating and business plans objectives are consistent and in-line with environmental protection policy and all applicable environmental policies, GIs and standards.


Identify deviations and developing solutions to environmental problems to ensure mitigation of facilities environmental risk and improve compliance to company and governmental environmental regulations.


Develop, review and implement Green House Gas management program including GHG data collection, analysis and reporting.


Conduct internal GHG assurance audit and provide support in preparation of facilities GHG 3rd party audits.


Monitor the solids and chemical disposals to guarantee a safe environmental protection in compliance with governmental regulations.


Monitor air quality, waste water and water conservation performance.


Establish environmental KPIs targets in alignment with company environmental policies and strategies


Develop, review and deployment of facilities environmental management system in alignment with ISO 14001.


Develop and maintain Environmental procedures and guidelines.


Analyze and monitor facilities environmental performance on daily basis and conduct environmental audit.


Conduct internal environmental performance benchmarking studies among the oil and gas refineries.


Organize technical exchange workshops among the oil and gas refineries.


Develop and deliver training material to promote environmental awareness among refinery personnel.

Position Description:

Saudi Aramco is seeking an experienced Nonmetallic Engineer to join the Consulting Services Department.


Consulting Services Department provides specialized engineering consultations for capital programs and corporate operations to advance corporate profitability objectives through engineering standards and application of new and emerging technologies.


The Nonmetallic Engineering Group of Materials Engineering Division, CSD is responsible in promoting the use of nonmetallic materials within Saudi Aramco facilities, in-line with the Saudi Aramco nonmetallic roadmap mission and vision.

Minimum Requirements:

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor degree (advanced degree preferred) in polymer, chemical or mechanical engineering.


A minimum of 10 years of professional experience as nonmetallic engineer in the field of nonmetallic materials and products within the oil and gas industry.


Broad knowledge in thermoplastic, fiber reinforced thermoset or thermoplastic, elastomers and their related products, including: piping, tanks, valves, heat exchangers, vessels, thermoplastic liners for carbon steel piping, downhole tubing and casing, composite repair systems, etc.


Excellent knowledge in nonmetallic products (e.g., piping, tanks, valves) qualification and testing, failure analysis, recommendations and technical support.


Knowledge in International Engineering Standards and Material Specifications (e.g., API 15HR, API 15S, API 17J), including experience in participating and developing Engineering Standards for nonmetallic products used in the oil and gas industry.


Familiarization in nonmetallic piping, tanks, and vessels manufacturing; thermoplastic lining processes; piping installation; and hydrotesting.


Good knowledge of corrosion and its mitigation methodologies.


Good presenter, high convincing ability, good technical report and paper writing skills, and ability to mentor and teach nonmetallic courses to engineers.


Good experience in the oil and gas industry, including processes and equipment.


Affiliation with professional societies is highly desirable such as ASME, API, ISO, and NACE.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be required to perform the following:


Review and revision of capital projects and introducing qualified nonmetallic products in the engineering design packages, including; water plants, gas plants, GOSPs, and terminals.


Attend project review meetings in or out of Kingdom as needed.


Develop new specifications and update existing standards, procedures and best practices.


Serve on international standards writing bodies as the opportunity allows. Lead value engineering sessions for nonmetallic products and update accordingly.


Perform technical assessment of new vendor facility, their qualification and approval and conduct periodic assessment to maintain regulated vendor list.


Develop new technologies and implement in Saudi Aramco facilities.


Lead investigations and evaluate product deficiencies of local and out-of-Kingdom manufacturers.


Participate in providing training courses to develop young engineers.


Mentor engineers and share your knowledge and experience.


Publish technical papers in refereed journals.


Lead or be a team member in specialized tasks, such as incident investigation teams, special audit teams, value engineering teams, organizational improvement teams, etc.

Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to join our Project Management team (PMT). Saudi Aramco Project Management Teams are responsible and accountable for the delivery of best in class capital projects assigned to department. PMT is directly involved in executing and managing assigned projects safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance. This will involve engineering design, procurement and construction of various sizes ($), types and complexity of small, medium to multi-billions-dollar mega projects. Some of these mega projects include the Marjan & Zuluf Increment Program, Safanyah & Manifa Increment Program, the Gas Compression Program and AMIRAL Program.


Project Management Department manage and execute projects usually from multiple site offices or engineering contractor design offices, geographically scattered throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


The Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer's primary role is to ensure that engineering design, procurement, construction and project completion is done in compliance with the project contract requirements i.e. project schedule, cost, HSE, company standards and procedures. Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer role also involves in some cases to review and study modifications to infrastructure, oil & gas processing / handling and utilities facilities. Occasionally called upon to design electrical engineering/construction aspects of new facilities of the types mentioned.

Minimum Requirements:

As the successful candidate you will hold a B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and a higher degree is preferred .


Fifteen (15) years of experience, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert in his field.


Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) and no second language is required.


Must have Engineering Design & Construction phase experience with a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles in the applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications. Dynamic attitude towards project improvements and savings with a PMP Certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be required to perform the following:


Execute capital projects according to the scope, schedule and budget.


Responsibility for project development: preliminary engineering to detail designs to construction and the final safe turnover to proponent.


Manage General Engineering Services (GES) design contractor activities during the development of project proposal, include definition of project work scope and schedule requirements. Development of detailed estimate leading to funding appropriation and approval.


Manage contractor preparation of detailed design drawings, material specifications and procurement, and/or construction bid packages.


Prepare annual and long-range operating plans and objectives.


Be familiar with international procedures of Projects Phases, Engineering Phases, Bidding procedure, Procurement Process, Construction Requirements and up to date Best Practices


Fully understand contract documents (inclusive of appendices, drawings and specifications), project execution plan, interface management, change management, construction sequencing, standards specifications and project schedule to support project manager and/or company representative in timely completion of project.


Review and resolve day to day contractors’ claims and complaints related to assigned project (Electrical) work during construction and ensure HSE compliance.


Performs change order scope definition, cost estimation and assists the Project Manager or Company representative in change order negotiations.


Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes. Attend project meetings e.g. progress, stakeholders, design review, plot plan, value improvement and assist in managing and reviewing the project progress i.e. planned vs actual.


Review of project schedule, coordinating and monitoring the assigned project progress and challenge below par performance of the contractor.


Review, coordinates and monitors invoices (claimed vs actual physical progress checks) and contractor’s submittals.


Performs Project Reporting and implementation of company initiatives during project execution.


Formally designs or studies electrical modifications to oil & gas processing and handling facilities, residences and utilities.


Provide routine electrical (design and construction) support to facilities such as substations, in-house power generation, electrical distribution systems, refinery process plants that include, but are not limited to, refining, NGL and utilities plants.


Develop and/or review testing and commissioning procedures for electrical equipment.


Experience in evaluating existing and new engineering design of substations, switchgear, transmission lines and MCCs 480V through 380 KV.


Experience in applying and analyzing system simulation, and modeling of electrical distribution systems using computer software such as E-TAP and similar software.


Be familiar with leading equipment manufacturers/ Vendors, NEC, IEEE, IEC and other international electrical standards, CII best practices and value practices.
