Responsibilities
Take full ownership of all project stages from business requirements gathering to product delivery
Responsible for end-to-end planning of the project including resources, sprints, milestones, timeline, and deadlines
Take the initiative to report and resolve any bottlenecks or issues related to the projects & members they are managing autonomously
Assist substantially in designing, documenting, and sharing/discussing the project architecture with the team.
Own and shape our best practices & processes and improve/optimize them to ensure they are up to standards
Ensure our best development practices are being followed by the dev team and report any findings or red flags
Own the technical implementation of the project they are handling and ensure that project is on track, deadlines are met, and progress/bottlenecks is communicated to management
Strong focus on Code Quality thorough conducting project code reviews on frequent basis and integrating the needed optimizations and changes
Prepare, review, and own the technical documentation of his/her projects
Mentor & Coach Junior team members and their project colleagues
Manage small teams of developers
Requirements
BS degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering Masters is a plus
7+ years of work experience in Python
2+ years of work experience as a Senior Python Back-end Developer
1+ years of work experience as a Tech Lead
2+ years of work experience leading small teams
2+ years of experience in Python Frameworks (Flask or Django)
3+ years of experience in developing REST APIs
3+ years of work-experience using AWS cloud and its resources/services
AWS certificates are a big plus
Processing, storing, and managing Real-time data of large volume is a big plus
Strong design and architecture skills
Strong coding skills with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms
Strong work-experience in Relational Databases including PostgreSQL
2+ years of work-experience in non-relational databases including Timeseries Db
Previous experience in automated testing tools including unit testing & UI testing
Strong knowledge in DevOps, CI/CD, Docker containers
Experience with Scrum/Agile Development methodologies
Experience managing multiple projects at the same time

JOB PURPOSE:
Manages and directs the activities of a team of disciplined staff covering Project Construction/Demolition Safety, Construction HSE Risk Management, and implementation of HSEMS by project contractors and ensure project HSE reviews conducted during the construction phase and provides assurance that all ADNOC HSE requirements are addressed and implemented.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
Ensures that the ADNOC Onshore Projects & Construction teams and Project construction contractors are complying and are effectively implemented the best safety practices at project sites in accordance with applicable UAE statutes and international standards, ADNOC Onshore HSE standards, policies & procedures through all phases of project execution to Operations.
Ensures the HSE requirements are incorporated in the contracts scope of work and technical bids are evaluated to qualify the contractors on HSE aspects.
Ensures adequate site P&C HSE personnel and other associated resources are available at project sites at all times including staff competencies and minimum manpower availability to support P&C activities in the fields.
Manages and directs contractors’ site HSE managers to ensure alignment with the overall direction and priorities of the ADNOC HSE programs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Manages Project contractor HSE performance, identify issues, develop new initiatives and drive overall HSE outcome at sites.
Ensures lessons learned from incidents and best HSE practices are captured and disseminate to site teams across all assets. Manages and ensures proper documentation of the learnings from incidents into ADNOC Onshore safety alert template together with Corporate HSE to ensure that lessons learned from incidents are shared.
Compiles and presents the overall projects contractor performance to the Senior Management.
Manages and leads the incidents investigations related to the Construction activities in the fields/terminals. Ensures systematic implementation of the findings for prompt incident notification, reporting, investigation and tracking of corrective actions by line management.
Manages and ensures regular inspection at project sites and other associated site facilities including contractor’s accommodations and observations are addressed. Oversee development and implementation of project emergency response procedures and conduct emergency drills as planned. Associate with all the initiatives and activities related to Leadership Commitment.
Ensures internal and external audits are well coordinated and required information is provided. Ensure Project HSE Reviews (PHSER IV, PHSER V & PHSER VII) are chaired and conducted for all the projects. Ensure all actions are closed within the scheduled time based on criticality.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
12 years of experience, including at least 8 years in HSE related experience within the construction side of the oil, gas or petrochemical industry.
5 years supervisory /managerial experience in Projects.
Hands on experience in strategic HSE, project management and policies.
Professional Certifications
NEBOSH IGC
Membership of a recognized international safety engineering association and safety engineering forum/organization.
