Job Description


• Provide leadership of maintaining company s goals from strategically, operationally and culturally

• Leadership of ship management functions

• Overall technical supervision, expertision and guidance in all technical and operational matters.

• Establishing and enforcing monitoring of the ship management system and interaction standards

• Continuous operational efficiency and safety of the company s assets.

• Setting overall strategies and plans to improve the operational effectiveness

• Efficiency achievment through implementing international best practices

• Work as member of the Management Committee for the safe and effective operation of Company s vessels

• Plan and build up technical management team to match with fleet expansion.

• Monitor and manage the fleet new building programme

• Ensure safe and effective operation of Company s Fleet

• Verify that the manning of Company s vessels and ship management is in accordance with international and local standards

• Direct the preparation and consolidation of the Ship Management function & departmental budgets

• Monitor financial performance

• Lead the Ship Management departments financial performance against budget.

• Approve Ship Management departments annual budget and put to the CEO for final approval.

• Plan, develop and implement strategy for operation management and development

• Communicates with insurance, legal and other external advisors


Budgets and Plans


• Directs the preparation and consolidation of the Ship Management function & departmental budgets and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon..

• Approve Ship Management departments annual budget

• Plan, develop and implement strategy for operation management and development

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including insurance, legal & other advisors

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Group CFO will be responsible for the management of all financial processes, activities and transactions across the business. Core roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

JOB DESCRIPTION


The Chief Financial Officer serves as the primary financial officer for the hospital. Major responsibilities include developing and maintaining a strategic financial plan and annual operating and capital budgets; financial analysis of new programs, acquisitions, and business development; revenue management; preparation of the financial statements, in accordance with financial management and techniques appropriate to the healthcare industry; decision support and cost accounting;


oversight of disbursements and receivables processes.  RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively advise and educate management on all aspects which financially impact hospital operations.


Collaborate with the hospital to prepare and update long range forecasting for the hospital and its financial network.


Develop and administer the following activities:


Financial reports both internal and external


Financial policies, procedures and systems


Reimbursement strategies, reports and appeals


Budgeting systems for both operating and capital budgets


Tax returns and tax planning


Financial analysis of new programs, acquisitions and business development


Patient financial services, including receivables management and patient admissions processes


Disbursements (payroll and accounts payable) processing


Provide financial information and consultation to management.


Interpret current financial trends and respond with appropriate action.


Develop strategies to increase cash flow – including improvements in revenue cycle management all with a target of increasing days cash on hand.


Ensure compliance with covenants incorporated in financing documents.


Negotiate contracts and agreements with third parties.


Lead or facilitate strategies and steps for cost containment within the organization.


Plan, assign and review work of staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hire, train, develop and manage staff to ensure that a qualified staff exists to meet group objectives.


Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. REQUIREMENTS


Education:


Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent discipline is required.


Masters degree in finance, accounting, business administration OR certification as a public accountant required.


Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.


Experience:


A minimum of ten (10) years of healthcare delivery system administration; diverse portfolio with hospital land large medical group finance leadership roles.


Multi-site healthcare management experience preferred.


Graduate level education may substitute on a year-to-year basis for the required experience.


Knowledge of provider billing practices and understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.


Job requires the highest level of problem solving. The work requires identifying and resolving very complex problems, such as developing innovative solutions based on extensive cross functional knowledge of the entire organization.


Work requires ability to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures of the hospital.
