Job Description

Our client is a well-established financial services organisation and we are recruiting an experienced IT leader with a strong background in data and technology risk and security. Reporting to the CIO, the role is an integral member of the leadership team and will be responsible for developing a culture that promotes data and analytics to improve division making across the organization.

Role Summary

Develop an enterprise wide data and analytics strategy and roadmap and establish the framework for data policy, quality, compliance, governance, security and retention.

Champion data and analytics as a corporate asset, increase data literacy across the organisation and drive a culture of empowering self-service analytics – hypothesis testing, visualizations and predictive and statistical modelling, across the organization.

Implement the infrastructure which supports BI and analytics.

Experience & Skills

10+ years management experience in BI, data science and analytics, responsible for the integrity of data, data management model design, standards and governance best practices and driving data-centric changes.

Proven ability to building and successfully building and managing cross-functional digital teams, data engineers and analysts.

Strong change management skills with the ability to lead large-scale transformation projects and create a team culture that enables the achievement of results in an evolving environment.

Excellent business acumen with proven ability to evaluate risks, benefits and costs and make sound judgements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Currently living in the United Arab Emirates.

Strong ability in the ongoing development and sustainability of people, technology and results to achieve long term objectives.

Ability to learn, synthesize and apply a wide range of experiences and information quickly in new environments.

High level of personal and professional integrity.

Job Description

Role Purpose:

To champion and advocate business and technical teams to embrace the cloud technologies that results in business outcomes

Build and maintain a competency roadmap for all Cloud related capabilities including roles of Architects, SME’s and CSPs

Provide leadership and strategic guidance on Cloud to the business and technical teams

Help business to define/redefine Cloud adoption roadmap and journey

Ensure the smooth functioning of Cloud Center of Excellence including Technology, Security and Financial management

Ensure new services and solutions are rolled out benefiting ADIB’s Application and business owners

Overall responsible for defining and measuring Cloud Center of Excellence KPI’s

Key Accountabilities of the role:

Operational Support

Attend all the team meetings, one to one meeting to have a high level of communication culture.

Timely response to email, tasks assigned and effective follow up with various stakeholders.

Prepare projects status reports and submit to stakeholders on timely basis.

Documentation / Service Ownership

The incumbent is responsible to take ownership, maintain & update documented processes or documentation related to his job function.

In the event where processes or documentation are shared, the incumbent shall be responsible to inform the owner of any document about required changes or improvements.

People & Attendance

Co-operate with the team members in a cohesive and professional manner and proactive good attendance habits and maintain the reporting hierarchy in all matters.

The incumbent should adhere to working hours which might require working for extended hours depending on job nature and task assigned.

Information Security

Maintain information security related to ADIB, throughout the period of employment.

Ensure that data access is controlled and audited.

As soon as possible, report any potential or actual risks or incidents affecting the security of information to the helpdesk.

Maintain Risk Free/control IT environment at ADIB.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:

As a Head of Cloud Solutions must exhibit following special skills

Should have strong understanding of Azure Cloud. Experience in other Cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP is a plus

Should hold certification related to Azure Architecture (AZ-303, AZ-304)

Should have strong understanding

In setting up Cloud Center of Excellence

Cloud governance, cost management and operations

Previous experience in large scale Cloud transformation and migration including Lift & Shift and modernization

Good understanding of financial modelling, CAPEX, OPEX

Cloud solution design and architectures, including Cloud Landing Zones/Foundation

Application and its related technologies. CI/CD Pipeline, DevOps, etc.

Good understanding of Cloud service management

Proficient in Cloud Security in the area of Data, IDAM, Network & Application

Should be a thought leader and ensure Cloud services are adopted and penetrated across ADIB

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) including presentation skills up to CxO level

Required Experience:

Minimum 15+ years of IT Infrastructure services experience and 7+ years of relevant experience in the area of Public cloud adoption

As the Chief Information Officer, you would be responsible for selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.

Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs. You would be responsible for managing all the electronic data to maintain the consistency of records throughout the business’ system.

You would ensure that the IT assets are updated and utilized. You would be responsible for ensuring that the business follows all external regulatory authorities and safety-critical element processes and standards.

Requirements

To be successful you will possess to be successful, you will possess at least 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is a must, knowledge of technological trends to build strategy, ability to conduct technological analyses and research, leadership and organizational abilities, strategic thinking, conflict resolution skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be UAE national.
