Procurement Director- Abu Dhabi

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Reporting into the CEO & Chairman the key function of this role will be to guide and direct all Procurement activities throughout the entire construction group.

KEY DUTIES

Procurement

Qualifications: Engineering degree (in civil or mechanical preferable). Referees will be contacted for verification and recommendation.

Job functions previously occupied: Site Engineer, QA/QC engineer, Senior QA/QC engineer, Senior Materials Engineer, Procurement Manager.

Previous Experience: Great importance shall be given to previous experience with major companies in similar position with proven track record and success. Infrastructure and roads experience is a MUST. Extensive knowledge in material such as pipes (GRP, HDPE, DI, GRE, uPVC, etc.), electrical (LV/MV/HV cables, Substations components, Feeder Pillars, panels, street lights components, etc.), mechanical (valves of all types etc.), steel, aggregate material from quarry, etc.

Particular requirements: Extensive knowledge in international standards, establishment and implementation of systems and procedures (SOPs), excellent writing skills, Excellent Managerial skills, very shrewd, poised, detail oriented, autonomous, capable of establishing, building up, and developing a full-fledged Procurement Department within the Organization.

Nationality: Open. Any professional who fits the above requirements shall be considered.

Visa status: If in UAE, should be transferable without burden or delay.

SUITABLE APPLICANTS WILL HAVE

- Minimum 15 years' experience.

- Come from a Construction / Main Contracting background

- Be currently operating at Procurement Director Level

- Have strong experience in the Civils, Earthworks.

- GCC Experience is essential.

- Ideally have mega projects experience.

Employment: Full Time

• Negotiate payment terms with suppliers & customers against each project and prepare cash flow cycle based by considering delivery time frame from both ends.
