Job Description
To patrol and protect assigned property, promote and enforce safety and security and act as a visible deterrent against irregular activity.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Protect property by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Report unusual occurrences.
• Report accident and incidents
• Conduct random patrols around the perimeter.
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and Car parks.
• Monitor play areas.
• Protect security command center.
• Be proactive in sports court areas by providing security and safety aid
• Watch alarm systems or CCTV and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
• Asist emergency response personnel
• Monitor the exterior and interior of the premises to ensure the absence of trespassers or criminals.
• Update the daily log sheet and report to the supervisor.
• Welcome visitors entering the premises, as well as guard the entrance of the premises.
• Question and check identification anyone who enters the premises.
• Report contractors not holding permit to senior supervisor.
• Screen visitors to ensure they do not enter the premises with prohibited items.
• Prevent visitors from straying into prohibited areas within the premises.
• Check facilities within the premises to make sure that they are secure, as well as make sure that windows, doors, and gates are properly locked after work hours.
• Respond to security alarms and distress calls, as well as inform the police of serious security threats.
• Call the nearest fire service department in the case of fire outbreak.
• Maintain the lost and found register.

Job Purpose:

Principal Accountabilities:
Maintain security guard at the gates and verify credentials of persons seeking entry.
Make periodic inspections around the perimeters of the property, and check door locks and windows.

Job Summary
A Security Guard keeps constant vigilance of activity on and around the hotel property and reports and manages incidents with the intent of ensuring the safety of Guests, Team Members, and others.
What will I be doing?
As a Security Guard, you are responsible for the safety and security of all Guests, Team Members and contractors, and visitors while at the hotel. A Security Guard is also responsible for the safety and security of the hotel premises. Specifically, the Security Guard will perform the following tasks at the highest level of service:
Maintain the security and safety of the hotel, Guests, and Team Members and their property by providing constant vigilance in and around the hotel premises
Run routine inspections of the hotel premises
Act promptly in the event of a circumstance that requires attention
Ensure all fire fighting equipment requirements are met and maintained
Assist Management in dealing with any incidents that arise within the hotel
Follow all Occupational Health and Safety rules upheld by the hotel

Previous security experience, preferably working within an industry which monitored large volumes of people movement
