Description

In this role, you'll use your sales leadership and geoscience/petroleum engineering domain knowledge to develop and execute on regional growth strategy and account strategies for new and existing customers across our leading-edge exploration and production software and services portfolio.

 

Responsibilities

Plan, execute and drive annual sales strategy to create, develop, and turn opportunities into software and services sales.

Create, maintain, and execute on strategic plans to drive & achieve Revenue targets and growth initiatives.

Lead develop & Manage matrix teams by providing clear direction and support to achieve desired results

Build and maintain consultative relationships with clients at every level within the client organization

Understanding and analyzing customer processes to uncover workflow needs, identify technical challenges, and conceptualize new strategic business opportunities and initiatives

Identify current business challenges and build solutions to enhance and expand our business footprint

Delivering compelling, customer-centric technical presentations

Managing, along with Technical Support Team, product evaluations for new customers that result in advancing the sales process

Proactively engaging with sales, marketing, and Product Development with customer data to meet current and future needs with new product enhancements

Working closely with Product Development Technical Sales and Geoscience Services Teams.

Manage accurate and timely quotations submissions, bid proposals, and conduct win-win price negotiations.

Recommend strategies to Senior Executives on adapting to local market trends and increase our exposure and presence in the market.

Maintain accurate and transparent data in our CRM system.

 

 

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in geosciences, petroleum engineering, petroleum reservoir engineering or related discipline.

5 or more years’ hands-on geoscience or petroleum engineering experience in an exploration or production environment

10 or more years’ software sales experience in geosciences or petroleum engineering

Ability to travel regularly (post-COVID restrictions) across the Middle East and Africa


Preferred Qualifications 

Prior experience leading integrated sales and technical teams and managing personnel strongly preferred

Job Description and Duties


1. Perform Legal Research


Assist legal superiors with case preparation by researching legal precedent, briefs, laws, and statutes, and investigating facts and create a report with all necessary information to ensure work is completed satisfactorily;

Must be trained on certain specialist research tools, and how best to use them using official and trustable sources;

Write reports, notes and maintain databases on all the research carried out for each field of the law. Keep all data base updated; 

Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills .  

2. Contract and document management


Draft initial legal documents and agreements using proper templates;

Manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence; 

Analyze and summarize documents by files;

Organizing and tracking files for important transactions or case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents; creating and maintaining a case-management database; 

Cooperate with Finance Department, the organization of the contracts. 

3.  Administrative Organization 


Coordinating  and performing various administrative tasks listed by the legal superiors; 

Keep office files organized so superiors or other office staff can easily access them as well as maintaining and updating law library; such as Manage, organize, and maintain documents and agreements in paper or electronic filing systems;     

Assist superiors in conducting trainings concerning legal procedures and company policies; and for sale team should include: design area, shop number , capacity etc.

Requirement

Arabic speaking mandatory | Law degree is a must (Bachelors)

An ideal candidate would be responsible to work alongside a Senior Associate and Inhouse lawyers to provide administrative and support function, should be able to draft memos, legal documentation and manage important documents.


Provide administrative and assistance, including review of incoming correspondence, drafting and amending outgoing correspondence, proofreading and cross-checking references in contracts, assisting with translation of documents (where necessary), organizing meetings, preparing contracts for signature, arranging contracts to be signed and sent to the concerned parties.

• Excellent drafting skills in English and Arabic

Job Purpose

Assists the Legal Department in providing substantive legal and administrative work to ensure the protection of the Company’s legal and contractual rights, this includes but not limited to: contracts management, litigation and arbitration formalities, licensing, and projects coordinating.  He/she shall carry all responsibilities with utmost confidentiality and in alignment with law and regulations to ensure Company’s corporate image is positively reflected and maintained.


Key Result Responsibilities

1. Drafts, initiates, proof checks and maintains contracts of different nature and templates including fuel supply contracts to be signed between Air Arabia/Subsidiaries and external parties according to agreed terms and conditions.


 2. Obtains necessary information, documents and signatures from both parties ensuring all legal aspects are being covered to minimize the risk on the company and its subsidiaries.


3. Validates contracts in terms of clauses, signatories, expiry, and restrictions; arranges for necessary copies to be circulated to concerned parties ensuring an electronic copy is maintained on the In-House shared drive. 


4.  Creates, maintains, and regularly updates an organized electronic/manual archiving system and database of all contracts, documents, and various contacts to be retrieved by the Legal Team as needed.


5.  Assists the “Legal Counsel” in all licensing and entity formation related formalities pertaining to new registrations and renewal of company’s subsidiaries in all hubs, trade licenses and service level agreements, etc.


6. Coordinates with Subsidiaries and Government Departments to ensure smooth processing; follows up on due payments and charges with Finance Division and concerned parties as needed to avoid any penalties or delays from company’s side.


7. Pro-actively coordinates the In-house workflow of all litigation and arbitration formalities.  Establishes contact with external parties such as the General Counsels, Law Firms, Commercial Managers, Courts, etc., to ensure all legal cases and disputes are being addressed and managed effectively.


8. Prepares all necessary official documentations and information needed for litigation and arbitration mechanisms; reviews notices, collates evidences and proofs from different sources to be considered for legal actions.


9. Schedules hearings and communicates information to concerned parties, follows up on decrees and final decisions to ensure successful implementation.


10. Prepares a monthly status report for all hubs covering information on disputes, complaints, and claims received, decrees, decisions and actions taken, as well as, a summary on final status of cases.


11. Maintains an up-to-date database of documents such as complaints, correspondence, notices, decrees, and evidences related to official disputes and court cases to be referred to when needed.


12. Establishes relationships with business partners, heads of departments and external parties to facilitate work-flow and operations pertaining to legal and contracting day-to-day activities.


13. Assists the legal team in all projects and administrative work such as correspondence, e-mails, claims, researches, scanning, profiling, archiving, database and track tables creation, charts, circulations, mail, etc.


14. Coordinates internal/external meetings and activities of the legal team, prepares agendas, minutes of meeting, distribution lists, Creates and maintains key contact and distribution lists.


15. Generates function-related reports and follows up on all HR-related activities such as requisitions, leave, performance and training.


Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Bachelor degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or equivalent.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint), Internet and Web Search.

Very good business writing and reporting skills.

Fluent in English & Arabic 

Work Experience

3+ years of working experience as a legal assistant or paralegal working closely with senior level attorneys in a law firm or corporate legal environment; preferably within Airline industry.

UAE experience, knowledge of UAE regulations, litigation and arbitration mechanism is a must.

Proven skills in managing court cases and disputes pertaining to formalities, documents, and follow up.

Experience in initiating and drafting contracts of various nature.

Highly organized with experience in developing and maintaining filing / archiving systems.

Employs a balance of technical expertise, and interpersonal relations to interact with senior/ mid- level management and subordinates as well as execute new initiatives that support company’s objectives.

Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs
