Job Responsibilities:


– Legal Manager must provide legal advice to the management and must be expert of Corporate Law and Governance, In-house Counselling, International Law, Commercial litigation, Employment Law and Real Estate Laws.


– Reviews and approves all contracts including but not limited to; SPA, DMA, Leasehold Agreement, NDA, MOU, MOA, JV, PM, FM, Employment, Lease, Assignment, Novation, Marketing, Agency, etc.


– Needs to draft legal recommendations, develop company policies and procedures.


– Needs to review the legal risks involved in various business deals and share the same with the management.


– Needs to review the existing legal cases of the organization and work upon resolving them.


– Provides advice on corporate compliance and governance with all statutory and governmental statutes and requirements in order to protect the Group interests


– Needs to offer advice on managing commercial tender documents.


Job Requirements:


– Must possess minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role based in UAE.


– Degree in Law is a must


– UAE / GCC experience is a must.


– European / Japanese / Chinese candidates considered


– Required to deal with external law authorities at UAE and International level


– Legal English and native languages spoken and written is a must.


– Required to advise and handle litigation cases.


– Required to draft and review contracts and agreements and make sure they comply with the legal norms.


– Good communications skills and managerial abilities


– Organized and result oriented.

JOB SUMMARY:


As legal counsel for NOV, a US-based manufacturer and services provider in the upstream oil and gas industry, your role will be to assist the members of NOV’s regional and global legal departments in providing guidance to stakeholders in its corporate teams and businesses primarily in the Middle East region.  


 RESPONSIBILITIES:


The candidate would be responsible for:


Providing legal and strategic advice to the corporate and business teams in the Middle East region;


Providing legal counsel in all aspects of local and international laws and regulations, with a focus on commercial law in the upstream oil and gas industry as it relates to the sale of goods and provision of services;


Providing support in structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions and projects, including but not limited to sales, purchasing, licensing, commercial agency, provision of services, leasing/rental;


Assessing risk profiles and developing the appropriate measures to address and mitigate the identified risks;


Supporting and providing advice to the regional stakeholders in connection with commercial transactions and applicable legislation, company policies, and best practices;


Identifying those matters which may require external legal counsel’s advice, assigning the matters to and coordinating with external counsel, providing updates on the status of the matters, where necessary;


Ensuring legal compliance with the laws of the region and the country of incorporation of the ultimate parent, including but not limited to US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act, the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention, and US anti-boycott laws;


Providing guidance on and ensuring compliance with the company’s policies, procedures and industry best practices;


Adding value to the team and identifying opportunities to improve the legal department’s systems and processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.

Lead all legal support to the business in dedicated major accounts in the Middle East and Nokia’s other regional business

Job Description


The Geoscience Manager will provide support in terms of management and execution of engineering and geological data analysis and interpretation for various consulting projects across Saudi Arabia. 


The incumbent must have the ability to contribute to projects using a range of engineering and geological techniques and methodologies. 


 Key Accountabilities: 


Working on Structural (and Engineering) Field Mapping; 

Evaluating data using 3D geological and geotechnical modelling; 

Compilation of GIS databases; 

Work on structural data interpretation; 

Conduct desktop studies and geo-hazard identification; 

Manage, train, and mentor junior geologists/engineers; 

Assist in the writing of technical and commercial proposals; 

Structural and engineering geology report writing (factual and interpretative); 

Assist in the management of Engineering geological and geotechnical investigations; 

Investigating the structure and evolution of the earth and its natural resources; 

Preferably possess field, wireline and seismic interpretation skills in geophysics.  

 


Qualifications / Skills / Experience required: 


Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Sciences with structural geology or engineering geology focus; Master’s Degree will be advantageous 


8 to 10 years’ engineering or structural geology experience depending on highest qualification achieved, exploration geology experience will be advantageous 


Good computer skills in related packages (MS Project, Leapfrog/Micromine/Surpac, Dips, ArcGIS, Geosoft Suite, WellCAD, Rockworks, Global Mapper); 


A sound understanding of geological mapping principles; 


A strong understanding of structural geology; 


A good understanding of engineering geology or a willingness to learn; 


Excellent oral and written communication skills; 


Able to work independently, organise work under pressure and in a timely manner; 


Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for this role; 


Fluent in English, Arabic proficiency will be advantageous;
